Morning all you crafty people! It's Another Wednesday, so that means, another WOYWW!? I know you're there, coz I can see by my stats! Which can grow from a mean 0 to 89k just like that! (give or take a few months) Odd me thinks! Come and say Hi!
Below is my working space this morning, I'm still in the kitchen, coz it's easier for clean-ups, and Gelli printing can get very messy! All this month I'm trying to join in with Ceri The Crafter's #gelypostcardplay. If you scroll down to other postd, you'll see what I've done so far.
Just room for the kettle! This is mostly the cutting and chomping side, or even a bit of glueing. Last week I was house/dog sitting, and also called in to their neighbours, to feed their very large and hairy cat, Maud. And this morning, knock knock on the door, and I recieved this lovely pressy! Jenny has a lovely studio in her back garden where she is a very accomplished artist! (I have been and had a look several times) Lots of her paintings are made into cards too. So this one is a real 'keeper.'So, back to the mess that I'm creating at the moment... better clean up before I make the next postcard. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with that tissue yet. I was thinking stamping or drawing on some flowers or butterflies. That's it for now! Pop over to sarahscraftshed and join in with WOYWW!?! Thank you for stopping by!
Well it sounds as if you are having lots of fun getting crafty! I tend to move to the kitchen as well if I'm gelly printing - it kind of takes over my craft room in 5 minutes!! Have a great week, love n hugs Cindy xx #9
ReplyDeleteI'm having great fun, never done this before, had my gel plates since last year so at last, they are getting used! The whole bungalow is now my craft room!
ReplyDeleteI really should have a go a gelli printing again but yes it is quite messy isn't it. Will keep Ceri in mind though he's a good teacher. Super prezzy and card. Hugs BJ#4
ReplyDeleteYes he is...got me doing something different when I was in that dark place after John had suddenly passed away. Needed to do something and playing with paint or making journals seemed to be the way to go. Thank you for popping by!
ReplyDeleteSounds as if you have been having a lot of fun with your gelli printing! I did some printing on tissue paper a few weeks ago, I think I just incorporated bits of it into collages. Your postcards are awesome! Have a wonderful week! Lindart #17
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm having fun...!
DeleteLooks like a fun crafty mess there Lyn. What a lovely gift for feeding the cat. Quick comments on my phone before Awards Evening. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by! And that card I will definitely keep!
DeleteWhat a gorgeous gift and a beautiful card too. I really will get my gelli plate out one day.... happy woyww. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteYes you must, I know you will be brilliant at it!
DeleteGelli printing is such fun and you look like you are really getting stuck in! I'm loving your postcards - it's great to have a large stash of prints ready to work with. The card from your friend is beautiful and definitely one I would frame and put on my wall - just the sort of image I love.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week with lots of splashy printing going on!

If you keep going you could take over the whole house Lol! At least you still have room for the kettle, very important. I love Gelli printing but tend to put off starting it because once I start I have problems stopping. Sending you hugs and wishes for a happy woyww, Angela x10x
ReplyDeleteI always make room for the kettle! The reast of the house is beginning to fill up fast!
DeleteIt's a long time since I did any gelli printing. So long, I've forgotten how. The card is beautiful and very much a keeper. Have a good week. Elizabeth x #15
ReplyDeleteI have not used my geli plate yet. I keep meaning to have a go and something else takes my attention. I am sure I have some small ones with me in the caravan- maybe this week? Happy WOYWW. Angela #12
ReplyDeleteYes yes yes!! You MUST have a go, the more you do, the more you want to do!
DeleteI love Gelli printing. I have just been following a video by Carolyn Dube where you used textured items to transfer patterns - I have been using an old tea towel... Happy WOYWW! Susan #8
ReplyDeletesounds good! Will hunt oout her videos!
DeleteThe kitchen for gelli printing sounds the perfect spot. You can eat anywhere LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat that you've joined in with Ceri. He is such a sweet man. I featured him on my blog last year.
Creative Blessings & Hugs! Kelly #15
He tells it as it is, love watching his videos! Will go and hunt him out on your blog too!
ReplyDeleteThe card is so lovely. And gel printing is very messy - glad I have a sink in my studio. I so wish all the creatives would spread out their challenges. July is packed with stuff and I never got a moment to consider ceri's one. He is lovely to watch (albeit on 1.5x speed LOL!) and I really like what I have seen on the odd video, so maybe one year I'll manage it. Or maybe I'll just pick a slow month and do it then. {sigh}
ReplyDeleteLate, but determined to get around!
