#Gelypostcardplay number 23 number 23...plus

**I have an update, I can never stop fiddling, to Number 23, listed below. Above is the new picture with the flower coloured in with a red Promarker and a green Posca pen on the stem. I think it looks better but then I guess I'm bias. Below is how it used to look...and, I've got that black chip off of Kevin's shoulder too!

Evening crafty people. I'm a bit late but I have mowed the lawn and trimmed the hedge today and just in time for the garden bin man! Here's my, umm-er?? 23rd Postcard for Cerithecrafter's July challenge #GelyPostcardPlay, Number 23... I'm not sure what I was thinking! Still, I think it turned out nice in the end...(it stopped raining anyway!)

I started off with an orange, swirly, stenciled card...Then stuck a large No: 2 and a small No: 3 in the top right hand corner...mmm?? Then for some reason I covered that corner again, with a napkin tissue, which had a masked-out hand made flower on it after I'd pressed it on my Geliplate. It was mostly stained, black and grey and ripped...and the leaves looked like a big black arrow, which you can't really see now, because I covered the bottom of it with Kevin, the R.a.c. man. I've been sent a few leaflets since the Van stopped with a completely dead battery a few weeks back. Kevin's got his thump up, so I made it look like he was holding the flower...Then I started looking for another number 23 and couldn't make up my mind which one to use...

So I used them all...For some reason there'd been a small pumpkin on the hall table for about a week... Oohh, thinks me. That's  Orange; so, hoping Kevin would forgive me for chopping his legs off... I stuck the pumpkin over his lower half. Then  I found the word 'Happy'. Why stick that on? I have no idea. Seconds later I said to myself, I don't like it, so wrote that on  the card...Then I really didn't like it! Gotta cover that up, I thought! and then, the song, 'Oh happy Day' came into my head. So I typed that out, along with 'I picked this for you' and fixed them in place. Doodled more scribbly bits with my new Posco pens including the music notes. Coated it all in Decopach, edged it all in black and Bob's your uncle, Fanny's your aunt, and we won't mention, second cousin Cyril, not on a Tuesday anyway.

So there we have it. Postcard No 23, for #cerithecrafter's #gelypostcardplay, done! Thank you to Ceri for creating this challenge, it's been really fun! Only a few more cards to go! And thank you for stopping by!! See you tomorrow! (Will there be a freebie Lyn???....Oh. Yes I think so!! But maybe not... ) who said that?

Cerithecrafters-#gelypostcardplay, Card No 12

Here's My No: 12 Postcard in Ceri the Crafter's #gelypostcardplay, click the link to see Ceri's number 12. W-elll, I was thinking of stamping out 12 monkeys, with 12 bananas...but they didn't fit! And in any case, I only had two monkeys, I was sure I had more, sooooo after I covered a multi coloured stripy, dotty green card, with  jungle type tissue, I then coated it in decopatch. Once dry, I set to stamping out and colouring said monkeys. Then came up with the idea of turning the whole thing into a puzzle, that way I wouldn't need twelve monkeys just 12 pieces of monkey. (Don't worry, it's just paper and card, no monkey was harmed in the making of this postcard!)

Anyway,  my puzzle diecut couldn't cut all the way though two pieces of card, the tissue and the monkeys. Boo! It had cut through the top layer so I traced round the cut marks in black and then finished it off with scissors.

So here's my Number 12 postcard...12 Monkeys In A Monkey Puzzle Tree... I finished off by cutting a shape out of a leaf and turning it into a stamp and adding the number12. So now I have lots of bits of monkeys all over the place!  There's a Wednesday freebie on a Friday below and if you google #gelypostcardplay, into google you'll find loads of youtube goodies to watch! Scroll down to see more of mine. That's it for now!  Number Unlucky for Some 13, tomorrow! Thank you for stopping by!

Postcard Number 11 In #gelypostcardplay

Afternoon Crafty Peoples! Hope you are all feeling roaring fit! Here's my next postcard in #Ceri The Crafter's, #Gelypostcardplay, Number 11. This is nothing like I was going to do for number 11... I was thinking bingo and legs 11, with lots of colour etc, but I started playing with that pile of posh tissus paper, which I'd cleaned my brayers on and pulled off extra paint from the geliplates, and began playing with it.

I tried covering different cards with it, couldn't really see the gelprint through the tissue very well. Then just ripped around the red splodges. Mmmm, I thought, they could be flowers heads. On one of my already painted postcards, I'd stenciled a sun and what could be a moon. So, I just stuck the red tissue bits randomly on with decopatch, (which is why it's a bit shiny) circled around them using a Sharpie, Promarkers, and some Posco pens. I added a tissue bumble bee too, but because the background was black, you couldn't really see it. So! I hunted out my Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady books, and now that I have more than one, I'm definitely going to make some journals with them. I've been watching Miss Paintalot and Camelia Crafts make theirs.

Anyway, I digress, I ended up covering the tissue bee with an Edward one. You can still see the sun through the tissue, and I was thinking, the sun, plenty of flowers to make honey with, is all a little bee wants in life. The number 11 was cut out of a gardening pamphlet and framed with a tiny bit of dark geli-print. Off now to start number 12! Thank you for stopping by!

#gelypostcardplay, Postcard number 10

Running a bit late with this Postcard, but still, (I amaze myself!) joining in with #CeriThe Crafter's, #gelypostcardplay for the whole of July. I was stuck on this one... I had rolled my brayer over an envelope containing a bill and quite liked the pattern. Then a sheet of  silver 'tattoo'  stickers refused to be squashed back into a drawer, so I thought, why not use them. The fact that they only cost me 10p from a charity shop, made me think, ooh! maybe it's an omen, and this card is destined to be number 10!? but still nothing came...

First I took the bill out of the envelope, and cut it to postcard size...(that's the gel print...not the bill!) fixed that to a bit of card. I'd been playing with some new dies and stamps that have just arrived, so made up these stamps. One from London and the other from Paris...  I inked up a couple of the stamps too, made a number ten using a bit of scrap map paper and then, that song, 'Weather with you' was playing somewhere. Something in the lyrics suddenly shone out. "Things Ain't cooking in my kitchen," So True!!! At the moment, my whole kitchen is my new craft room! (see this weeks WOYWW!? ) So after that and some new words typed out, 'Everywhere you go....always look for silver linings,' because I thought, those silver tattoos, could be clouds. That's it! Card Number 10 done! Just add this link to your server #gelypostcardplay, and find out more. It's never too late to join in!  Thank you for stopping by!

#gelypostcardplay, Number 8 A shakin' Green Door!

Here's my number 8 for Ceri the Crafters . I had the door diecut...and was thinking 'Shakin' Stevens'  (Green Door) so it went from there. I thought it would be an easy one, but no! I used one of my postcards, which I'd cut from a 12x12 covered with shopping recepts, and what with the paint and glue, the die-cut didn't like it very much! The fiddly bits in the door's windows, just wouldn't cut out.

Anyway!! I went through nearly all my green/greenish 'pulls', then embossed a brownish 'pull' with a Tim Holtz 3D brick embossing folder, to make a wall... added a bit of scorched timber to it first, then, as the song goes, I needed a  midnight clock, while hunting for that, I found the dancing skeleton die... and so, my sentiment was formed! But it wasn't finished....I needed an eye! Huh? The keyhole was too small and the door knob in the door diecut, only embossed, so I found the smallest wobbly eye I had and used that, voila! The card was done! So,card 8 for Ceri's #gelypostcardplay, is finished!  Mind you, if I could've found a small piano, I might've even added that too! Thank you for stopping by!

Ceri's #GelyPostcardPlay-It's an 007 shaken, Not Stirred!

Yes, it was definitely a dodgy number seven, but that one's gone now! It might return as a revamped number 17 or 27 at a later date, but for now, here's my new 007!  Challenge invented by  Ceri The Crafter's #GelyPostcardPlay. Just Google that, and you'll find loads! It's happening for the whole month of July. (Try saying all that while munching on toast) So, I have made another number 7... it's been Geli printed with several shades of green and a bit of gold plus some rings. Then after that, I had no idea what to do ...but the rings, and the fact that it was number seven, gave me the idea of James Bond..  Plus the fact that my fingers are covered in gold paint, (gold fingers) and I nearly ran out of time, hence, 'No time to 'dye'....as in dye-cut....and double plus, as it took me ages to remember where that glass die was! That was actually cut out from the mag that I used to clean off my prayer.

All the number sevens and zero's were cut from scraps of gelli-printing The die came from Die Cutting Essential Magazine ages ago. I think it even looks ok in landscape...looks like someone's having a sip!

That's it for today! I'm off to take two dogs for a walk! Still haven't mowed the lawn or cut the hedges, but 'tomorrow is another day'. No pun intended! Catch you all later! Thank you for stopping by!

Ceri's GelyPostCardPlayChallenge #6

Yay! I'm still doing Ceri the Crafters #GelyPostCardPlay Challenge. I wanted to do 'The Prisoner' for number 6. I am not a number, I am a free man...Who is Number One? I am number two. You are Number 6...etc!  A 1966-68 TV series filmed in Portmeirion, Wales. The coloured houses at the bottom are meant to portray 'The Village'. The circles are supposed to look a bit like those bubbles that chased Patrick McGoohan across the beach if he tried to get away. I stamped some numbers on the card, but they went a bit smudgy, so added some silver sticker numbers too. The badge I've had for years and was quite pleased when it suddenly turned up, so I could use it! All the papers I've used are what I've geli-printed 'specially for this challenge (I didn't really have any before!) Have visited The 'Village', a couple of times, many years ago. Well worth a visit.

So, that's my card number 6 for the #GelyPostcardPlay challenge. It looked so much better in my head! but as least I'm getting quicker at making them. Still create the same mess though! That's it for today! Scroll down to see my other postcards in the challenge and of course, this weeks Freebie! If no one downloads it, 'they' will take it down. If that happens, just email me! Thank you for stopping by!

This is #GelyPostCardPlay #5 The One with The Pink Tissue

I don't believe it! Five days of making #GelyPostcardPlay!! The fact the sink's full of dishes, the washing machine needs empting and the lawn and hedges need cutting, won't get a mention... the floor's a bit dodgy though... This is #5, it started off as two pinky geliprints ripped in half, with the wavy half stuck over the line/rings  one. I added bits of other things, but didn't like them. I was also still trying to use a spring time tissue over a variety of different painted postcards, but they all looked rubbish! I did try my best to revamp one....it'll be number seven if I use it...the others got binned! I learnt the lesson to use light colour under tissue, so, with the pink not working for me as it was, I chose this humming bird tissue to cover it... and very gentle placed it over the pink card....

It's a bit wrinkly, but soooo much better than the spring flowers card I binned and the spring flowers card I'm calling #7-if I use it! I added extra tissue butterflies and some more words, so haven't added any other words this time. I lined it all the way round with some tiny patterned silver stickers, and painted, very carefully with cosmic shimmer onto the butterflies wings.

That's number 5 done! I have a busy weekend ahead, actually, I'm very busy right up until Tuesday Afternoon, so I hope I don't get too far behind with this #GelyPostCardPlay. Guess I'd better go and do the washing up now! Thank you for stopping by.

GelyPostCardPlay #4-Challenge along with Ceri

Morning Crafty Peoples. I'm here again with #4 of CeritheCrafter's July challenge #GelyPostCardPlay. As I type this, I have no idea what the postcard will look like! I'm thinking of a night sky! I have a bluey print and a black print... Well, I'd better go  make it!!

And! Hours later... here it is. The black was too dark, so I cut the 'ground' out of that, one of the blues was a bit too wishy-washy, so I cut the fox and the rabbit out of that. Then the second pull on the black made that sort of speckled effect, so I used that and added more white dots. I wanted to add a moon. I found the die set, but the moon was missing-then I realised there wasn't really enough room, and it would've been too big anyway. So, forget the moon! I stamped the number 4 onto another scrap of geli paper and then added 'moon beam circles' with some  shimmer paint through a stencil. The plastic purple dotty thing  under the card in the second picture, was from the £1 shop... I use it to add textured dots, it's really a cat or dog licking plate. So that's #gelipostcardplay number 4 done!  On to number 5!  Thank you for stopping by!

GelyPostCardPlay #3

I don't actually believe it...I've made it to number 3.... Here's my latest #GelyPostCardPlay, joining in with Ceri's challenge!  Now, someone tell me!??? What's the difference from a ICAD and a Post Card!? Maybe I could join in with a ICAD challenge too!

This is one of my messy work tops...there's at least three more!

I wanted to add a clock or watch stamp, but couldn't find one  I liked... so used this compass instead... I think it still...'works'! I've used lots of different paint, bubble wrap, cardboad stripes, a white and black pen, and diecuts and a sticker #3. The words were typed on my laptop. Also  join in with the fun at #pmartistsstudio.  That's it for now. Here's Cerithecrafters number 3. Thank you for stopping by!

GelyPostCardPlay No 2

Morning, (afternoon and evening! ) It's Ceri The Crafters, #GelyPostCardplay number Two!!  I've never done anything like this before, and because I'm very new to Gely printing, I don't really have all the stuff, so I'm covering my post cards (6x4 bits of card) with anything I can fine, including shop till recepts! (See last Week) and loads of paint then using whatever I can find to make patterns etc.

This one I just used different shades of green, including a metallic one and then used some raffia, squiggled across the gely plate, so when I pulled the sheet off it looked a bit like roads...I then just diecut everything else out of all the other bits of gelyplate painty sheets I'd made over the weekend. The wording I did on my laptop. It's not too bad! I hate the Deadend sign...I shoulda made that smaller ...well, so far so good...That's number 2 done. That's it...off now to start number three... thank you for stopping by!
