Happy WOYWW 900!! And Birthday Cards

Wow! Just think....it'll soon be 1000 WOYWW?!  Go and Pop over to Sarahscraftshed to find out more. Well, as I'm up to my eyes in washing driveways and clearing out gutters...I really haven't got any new crafting to show you. So I'll show you a card I made for Son in law...birthday money is in the envelope...
And below is the one I made for Grandkiddie, Oliver. I'd had this map for years...honestly. Years. So? It's about time I used it, I thought. So I did, and made Oliver's card with it...The 'treasure' of course, was his birthday money...hidden inside a secret pocket.
Here's the back....
The pocket's hidden in the bottom square...where X marks the spot. It all folds flat to go into an envelope.

And seeing I haven't got any mojo for just crafting... except masterboards...

Washi tape masterboard and cover

I've been covering boxes again... They really do come in handy.

That's it for now, thank you for stopping by! Happy 900th WOYWW

A Birthday Card for Just for Josh.

My neighbour's nephew will be 18 in March, so I've made a card for Josh. I was told he liked cars and golf.  I started last month and have only just finished it last week...good job I started early! I've used one of my favourite card folds, and used a paper from my stash with cars, which I printed on photo paper. Then hunted out some free golf papers that came from Papercraft Inspirations magazine many years ago...

There's also a hiden magnet to close the card. Sorry about the bad pictures. I forgot to take any photo's and the sun was shinning in so brightly the first few were too shiney to see. (Note too, I was crafting on my ironing board .
I also added cogs and wheels die cuts and acetate to help support the opened card and add the Happy Birthday and his name Josh.
The inside has a space to add a sentiment or even a number. There's also a hiden pocket to hide a gift card or money.  Hope he likes it, my neighbour did! Thank you for stopping by!

Fishing you a Happy Birthday Pat!

It was Pat's Birthday, he loves fishing, so I made him a 'fishy' card from papers found years back in PaperCraft Inspirations.  It's a start on using up the Crafty Stuff I have...although the die cuts on this card are new to me (They just reeled themselves into my basket!) The papers are still freebies, at Gathered, although they've changed their website and it's now quite honestly, pretty rubbish....it jumps about all over the place. You have to sign in, and it says it will send you an email to verify, but I never got one. But I did get in, in the end.
Anyway! back to the card! I started off with two black cards, one smaller than the other and made one of my favourite folds, but this time, instead of cutting one side the larger card in half, I folded it back to make a pocket. Seen below there's a purple tag showing, that's where I put the Gift Card. He also got a cap with 'Fish Whisperer' on it (try saying that ten times fast!)

These papers also had the big fish I used on one of Pat's other Birthday Cards and the link to those fishing papers on that post, still works. this LINK to the paers might work too.

This is the back of the card, it was supposed to be the front, that's why it has the extra purple layer. Never mind, it still works! I don't use the papers that used to come with the magazines, I keep those in ring binders with a link to my laptop, so I can print them out. Most mags now send you to their website to hunt out the freebies...These were printed on 120gsm and 160gsm. Well that's it from me for now. Thank you for stopping by and I fish you a great weekend!

Tom's Finished Pop up Box Birthday Card

I was going to add a birthday number....but the card wasn't big enough for that! At last, Tom's card is finished, although, with this type of fold away box card you (meaning me) can go on adding things forever! After a lovely day exploring gardens and houses and having a picnic, we took it over to him along with some birthday money, never know quite what to buy, apart from a house, car, a superzonic racing bike, some rock climbing shorts or anything StarWars.

The Card.  This one with fit into a six and a half square envelope, as I went over a bit, but you can make them any size and shape.  There's loads of "how to make"  on YouTube. Sam Calcott has this one  and here's one that's very easy and this one and many more. I've added toppers to all my panels, but that's up to you.

Most of the sporting stamps I used came from Creative Stamping magagazine, #92 (Jan 2021) The peeping cat above came from  Crafter's Companion...

and this other cat is from their 'Smitten as a Kitten', Penny Slider Cards set.(Love them both!) Oh and the mice! Lawn Fawn of course!

Both the  letter die cuts used here and the bearly seen ones in the front were from either The Range, Trago Mills, or Hobby Craft.  (sorry about my gluey thumb!) I coloured everything with my ProMarkers. Any 'Ink overs' I used Vintage Photo, Distress Ink. Anything else was scraps from by stash. The tiny racing bike is from a freebie set, Bike Riding Set by Chantahlia Design...there's tons of freebies over there, go look see!

And, last picture... I made the back look like a door  and added a key hole. That tiny little bow on the cat came from a hangbag set of dies I picked up at the Charity Craft Shop in Lymington for 50p, I also got the matching shoes! Might make another Pop Up Box card  using handbags and shoes!

Hoping to add this to some Challenges later ...I've just recieved some ATC's I wasn't expecting! How Fab is that... all nine of mine have gone off... so, I'd better get crackin' and make some more!! Thank you for stopping by!
I forgot to add the...
