#GelyPostCardPlay_Number 14-A few Flowers and Hearts

Morning! Off to the beach in a few minutes, meeting family so, I aimming for a quick post this morning! I'm following the challenge set by #cerithecrafter, #gelypostcardplay, so! That link leads to Ceri's no 14, and here's my 14th postcard!

I'm quite pleased with this quickie, as I've not used papers from a paper pad before and it seemed a very good way to get this done quickly! Th3 14th reminds me of PanCakes and Valentines, so, I added TimHoltz hearts to my geliprint piece of card after fussing cutting out the image, and then did a bit of stamping. Of course I wanted to stamp, 'be mine' or just Love, but could only find tiny worded stamps.

The 8x8 'Arty Paper Pad' is called 'Out of This World' Not one I would normally pick up but in was in a closing down sale at my now 'gone' not so local Craft Shop. The pictures in it are making me thing, 'Glue Book!'  (and the 'Legs Eleven' for postcard number 11 that I wanted to do- a long legged bird, is in there!) Well! That's it from me! I'm off!Don't forget to call into #cerithecrafter, #gelypostcardplay, Thank you for stopping by!

#GelyPostcardplay-card Number 13_Unlucky for Some

Afternoon peoples, crafty or otherwise! Another card has appeared. I think I must be doing them in my sleep! Number 13 for #cerithecrafters #Gelypostcardplay, everyday for the whole of July.

This card started off as a blackish-grey swirly thing, with added gold lines, which you can't really see. I wanted a ladder, but couldn't find one I liked, so fancied using the film strip instead. While hunting for that, I found/remembered the skull and cross bones by Tim Holtz.

Haven't used that in years! So it came in handy. I added tissue paper skulls to his eyes, plus another tiny die-cut to his other eye cut from a small bit of geliprint.  The cat on his head is also tissue. There's also a Spider's web, some stamped words and numbers, and a bit of scribbling. Well, that's it I think, at least it's not Friday the 13th!

Hope you're having a look at some of the video's over on YouTube; You'll find Ceri's number 13 at #gelypostcardplay. Have a great weekend. Thank you for stopping by!

Cerithecrafters-#gelypostcardplay, Card No 12

Here's My No: 12 Postcard in Ceri the Crafter's #gelypostcardplay, click the link to see Ceri's number 12. W-elll, I was thinking of stamping out 12 monkeys, with 12 bananas...but they didn't fit! And in any case, I only had two monkeys, I was sure I had more, sooooo after I covered a multi coloured stripy, dotty green card, with  jungle type tissue, I then coated it in decopatch. Once dry, I set to stamping out and colouring said monkeys. Then came up with the idea of turning the whole thing into a puzzle, that way I wouldn't need twelve monkeys just 12 pieces of monkey. (Don't worry, it's just paper and card, no monkey was harmed in the making of this postcard!)

Anyway,  my puzzle diecut couldn't cut all the way though two pieces of card, the tissue and the monkeys. Boo! It had cut through the top layer so I traced round the cut marks in black and then finished it off with scissors.

So here's my Number 12 postcard...12 Monkeys In A Monkey Puzzle Tree... I finished off by cutting a shape out of a leaf and turning it into a stamp and adding the number12. So now I have lots of bits of monkeys all over the place!  There's a Wednesday freebie on a Friday below and if you google #gelypostcardplay, into google you'll find loads of youtube goodies to watch! Scroll down to see more of mine. That's it for now!  Number Unlucky for Some 13, tomorrow! Thank you for stopping by!

Postcard Number 11 In #gelypostcardplay

Afternoon Crafty Peoples! Hope you are all feeling roaring fit! Here's my next postcard in #Ceri The Crafter's, #Gelypostcardplay, Number 11. This is nothing like I was going to do for number 11... I was thinking bingo and legs 11, with lots of colour etc, but I started playing with that pile of posh tissus paper, which I'd cleaned my brayers on and pulled off extra paint from the geliplates, and began playing with it.

I tried covering different cards with it, couldn't really see the gelprint through the tissue very well. Then just ripped around the red splodges. Mmmm, I thought, they could be flowers heads. On one of my already painted postcards, I'd stenciled a sun and what could be a moon. So, I just stuck the red tissue bits randomly on with decopatch, (which is why it's a bit shiny) circled around them using a Sharpie, Promarkers, and some Posco pens. I added a tissue bumble bee too, but because the background was black, you couldn't really see it. So! I hunted out my Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady books, and now that I have more than one, I'm definitely going to make some journals with them. I've been watching Miss Paintalot and Camelia Crafts make theirs.

Anyway, I digress, I ended up covering the tissue bee with an Edward one. You can still see the sun through the tissue, and I was thinking, the sun, plenty of flowers to make honey with, is all a little bee wants in life. The number 11 was cut out of a gardening pamphlet and framed with a tiny bit of dark geli-print. Off now to start number 12! Thank you for stopping by!
