Trains, Planes and Automobiles, or Something for the boys

The New Challenge has now started over on
It was my turn to chose the winner, which was really hard and I'm thinking we should start a top three or even a top five!! (what d'you think?) So thank you to all those of you who entered, we really did have some fabulous cards and other makes using my sketch, not so many entries, as I know 'sketches' aren't quite so easy, so for this fortnight's Challenge over on Quirky Crafts Anne has chosen...(drum roll please Sid!)

Trains, Planes, and Automobiles
or
Boys and their Toys (no rude stuff please!)
or
anything with a masculine theme to it!

We're hoping loads of you will put those thinking caps on and come and join us!!
This is my DT card for the challenge. I've gone with the mad Madison again and a cupcake topped with a racing car! I hope it's made of sugar icing!

Once again the lovely Niki from...
has very kindly agreed to sponsor us for the next Fortnightly Challenge. Pop over and have a look at Niki's 'Limited Runs Digi' images, enter the challenge to be in with a chance to win three digi 's of your choice!
Ok. It's not easy having a girl with an axe and putting her on a card! But I've grown very fond of Madison, one of the Sister's Grim. (Yep, she has sisters!) Usually she's dark and Gothic but she can be sweet and sugary in a sickly sort of way!
I've used Pink Petticoat Papers, my Nesties to cut the scallop circles, couple of Auntie Brenda's Buttons from my button tin and of course, my Promakers to do all the colouring, except the 'skin', where I used my Copic pens (still haven't got any skin Promakers!) Of course all the fonts are freebies. The first one is called CK Alis Hand Official and has a link in the post below thisone (go on, scroll down!) and the 'Happy Birthday' you can see inside the card, (great isn't it!!) is called 'You Wish You Were Shirley" ! Yes, honest...(who thinks up these names!?) and you can download it for free from HEREThe 'boxes' I've used on the card can all be made on your computer, and with a bit of fiddling you can easily get the words to fit inside too!
I've also done a couple of other 'things' with a guy theme. A digi scrapbook page that I did in My Craft Studio, but I'm still trying to work out how to put it into a file that blogger can read! So, if they're not here now, they'll either be here later or on another post during the week to remind you to come and join in with the Challenge!
That's it from me!! I'm not here, so this post should appear by magic! I'll be back later to correct all the smelling mistakes and add any links I've forgotten!! Or...to do it all over again!! Bye for now!! Oh, just thought of something!! Quirky Crafts are having a DT call, so come over to the Challenge blog and join in that too!!

Axeactly A Quirky Sketch!

It's that Quirky time again! Thank you to everyone who entered the last Challenge, it was fabulous to see soooo many different makes. Pop over to Quirky Craft's Blog to see who won and of course to see all the lovely Design Teams cards for the new challenge, which has been set by none other than...(drum roll please!! actually I'd rather have chicken, with a little bit of Piccalilli!!) ...little ol' me!
The Challenge for the next fortnight is...

A SKETCH.

I do love sketches, so I hope you like this one and join in. The more the merrier!! I can't wait to see what you'll make using it!! You can do anything you like, flip it, turn it upside down, sideways, as long as we can still see you've followed the sketch. You can make anything crafty. ATC's, Fat pages, Scrapbook pages, cards, tags, altered art, anything!

This time our Challenge is being sponsored by the lovely
Niki
from
Graphix and Designs by Niki

The lucky winner will be able to chose some of Niki's lovely Digi downloads! Us crafty lot over on the Quirky Craft's Design Team have been able to 'play' with a few of the images. I chose The Sister's Grim (Madison) I must admit I did have her planned to use in a different challenge... same sort of idea but different! So you might well see her again very soon!!
I've used Pink Petticoat Papers and coloured Madison with Promakers and Copic pens. The sentiment I did on the computer. And for those who want to know I used the letter Y in 'webdings' to make the heart (which you probably already have on your computer) circled it and luckily, was able to punch it out with one of my Woodware punches (but that was just luck, not genius!) The font inside the circle is called 'A Red Bucket' (yes, that's a freebie and is on my sidebar but for the lazy ones, with good eye sight, you can download it HERE) For the inside of the card I've used 'The Red Bucket' font again and also 'Honey Bunches ' which you can download HERE
(I was going to put in the last line of the card, "Which half of the rabbit do you want?" but thought that was going a little too far!)
Click pictures twice, to make them, big and then bigger still.

I'm hoping to be able to find a few challenges for this card, so off you go ~ go create!! But first, pop over to Niki's shop and have a looky see at her digi's, don't worry if you haven't any, you can make your entry using any image you like, but if you use any of Niki's images that'll earn you extra points!!!
Don't forget to link your
card to the challenge and not your whole blog. It makes it easier for us DT members to come and find you! (but newbies will be forgiven!!) And, don't forget to put the challenge and a link to the challenge on your post too, it all helps to spread the word, and it also makes sure we're looking at the right card!!
Before I go, just want to give a big (((Wave)) and "hi!" to new follower Gloria. She has some lovely Easter bunny cards on her blog!
