It's that Quirky Time again and a new challenge has started over on the challenge blog. Pop over and see what we've all been up to!!
It's Monica's turn to set the theme this fortnight and she has chosen...
Monica would like to see different places of The World represented in your projects! Perhaps somewhere where you'd like to go, or where you've been!
This time we are sponsored by Paper Pretties and Samiflora ( facebook link)
I've done something different (for me) I've made a digital scrapbook page using my own pictures from a weekend away in Paris, to see the Monet Gardens and of course the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France with hubby and my mum and dad. It turned out to be our very last trip away together. It's probably my third try at doing a digital scrap page... not too bad I think, and it saves ink and paper!!
First I hunted out the papers. I knew I had them saved somewhere on my computer, but, sieve head me, couldn't find them. Luckily I'd printed them out years ago! I think they were freebies from 2 peas with the 2006 new letter! Anyway,I re-scanned them in so I could make them PNG and then sorted out some photos; a river trip, views of Paris, The Monet gardens and Me, Mum and dad with the Tower in the back ground. (John took the picture) The tag and the stitched Eiffel Tower are part of the same set.
I printed and coloured the little Merci Beaucoup French Poodle from our sponsors, Paper Pretties. It was a last minute decision to go with Mum and dad, (Coach trip through the Channel Tunnel) I'll always be thankful we did! This little Thank You poodle fitted in very well!
Right....any Trekker geeks out there who can spot the Star Trek link??? No? It's the sentiment...'We'll Always Have Paris' it's the name of episode 23 in season 1. (It's about time travel so it's always stuck in my mind!)
The Font I've used there is a freebie, it's called Fontdiner dotcomluvable download HERE
I'm not here at the moment but later hope to add this scrap page to some...
Party Time Tuesdays: Button it Up
(I was thinking the buttons on John's shirt but maybe that's 'stretching'
it too far! and I can't seem to link anyway)
