Happy Birthday Karen-Doggy waterfall Card-plus links to freebies

It was Karen's Birthday yesterday, who's Karen? (I can hear you say)Well, at the moment she has pink hair and runs the cattery where my very much missed Mr Jinx would board when me and hubby John were  away for a few days or a week. She also breeds shitshoes...sorry.. Shih Tzu's  and has informed me that she will most likely start preparing things for puppies next year.

Anyway. A birthday card had to be made and seeing I had one of my Melt Down's on Friday, I think I loaded a freebie and then, the rest of the day just vanished and I didn't even get to start her card, so???? first thing Saturday morning about 5ish, I started and by midday I was still in my pyjamas...but the card was done! Still trying to use up scraps where possible.... Most of these papers are freebies from Gathered You can find the doggy papers here, but you may have to sign in first. Loads of papers from past Paper Inspirations and CardMaking magazines and also PaperCraft issue 147 Barking Mad

Debs (sis in law) also dog walks Karens dogs, and on numerous occasions I have too!) contacted me to be at The Riverside Inn by 1.30 and for once I arrived early. (At this stage I will add, I was no longer wearing my pyjamas!) There were five of us in the end, and we had a fantastic meal, I had a Sticky Chicken Starter, Cod and Chips, and  finished with a Chocolate Bomb! (don't tell the diabetic Nurse!)

Yum all day long!!! I now have eaten soooo much in one day that I won't need feeding til next Tuesday!! Back to the card...

Yes, inside there's a sideways waterfall...which I cut out with a die and then forgot how to make it!!! So, voice in head suddenly yelled, 'Just do it!!!' so I did, and it worked and I managed not to glue it all together in the wrong places!! The pink frames are a cheat! They're just a pink Promarker, then there's 'smooth' bluish glitter card from The Works. There's also a few dots of Nuvo Jewel Drops but they're so translucent you can't see them.

Finishing with one of the last pictures Karen sent me of Mr Jinx while John and I were celebrating his last  birthday with all the family, riding that zip wire! in Cornwall.  Have a great Day! Hoping to find some Challenges!

Thank you for stopping by!

Waterfall Card: CraftsUPrint £1000 Challenge!

*This has now closed *
There are only 2 days left to enter 'The Worlds Largest Ever' Hand Made Greetings Card Competition. The prize is £1000 CASH and the winner will receive it 3 weeks before Christmas.
(I copied that bit! and voice over man was feeling a bit left out...) I'd forgotten all about this. I had an Email from CardsUPrint telling me I only had three days to upload my card to the site! Oho! Panic! What card?? What was I going to do? A second email (Can they read minds? Do walls have ears?) arrived a few minutes later giving me a link to the download I'd chosen! (I can't actually remember doing that. Perhaps I sleep walk!) Anyway, after yelling at the computer for keep going off line and the printer for telling me it was out of ink! and getting into a stewber (spelt wrong) cos I couldn't make the water...fall. (It splashed a bit!) I finally got this card made! and uploaded it to CardsUPrint with only one mistake in my 'how I made this card' write up. Okay~it's a bit like the other baby boy cards I've done but hey! I was in a hurry, day light was fading (Thinking of taking pictures, it gets dark soooo quickly!!)
I'll pop back later with links to freebies, more pictures and things but at the moment we're packing up as we're spending the next two weeks House and Dog sitting...don't worry, I'm taking my laptop with me! (aw shame!) back later....

I'm back...We're now in the dog house...(house and dog sitting,) Just taken them out for their last walkies of the night...it's very dark out there, how are you supposed to find the poop to scoop? (take a torch!) Enough of that! Back to crafty things....The waterfall card came from CraftsUPrint and was 80p, but it was free to do the Challenge. There's still time. You can choose a freedownload, if no one else is doing it for the competition, it will tell you that you can download it or not. (Only one go per email addy) There are other freebies too.
Right, the freebies on this post are the font, and the paper, which I have linked before, so you might already have them but if you missed it... the Font is called Baby Kruffy and you can down load it HERE. The gingham paper, 16 pages of pinks, blues, greens, oranges, lilacs, yellows etc, can be downloaded HERE.
Time for a nice cup of cocoa!! Night night. Thank you for stopping by!

My First Waterfall Card!

Evening everyone! It's not been too bad today, has it? No one got abducted by Aliens or fell down a well? Apart from a Rook flying off with one of me coconuts all's been quiet here too. We were going to pop out and see the local carnival but then thought, is it worth it for two floats, a dancing band and a juggling dog? Is it just down here in Southern England or is it happening throughout the whole Country? Carnival's 'ain't wot they used to be!' Something to do with Health and Safety so I'm told. Not allowed to do hardly anything anymore, no custard pie throwing and definitely no water fights, 'case someone gets... wet! And talking of water...(which I wasn't) here is the waterfall card I promised yesterday! And why is it called a Waterfall Card?? I haven't a clue! Maybe because it 'flows'!
It's printed on the same paper as Ben 10 (scroll down all those of you who didn't blog in yesterday) so it has a nice soft satin finish to it...Hang on, I'll just get out my megaphone (The movie guy's gone home) Stand back all those of you with a weak disposition...the paper is called...
"Instant Dry Photo Satin Double Sided Paper 120gsm Brochure Paper."
...which was sent to me by PhotoPaper (Links no longer apply) .I have some magnet card and a few Double Sided Gloss/Matt Greeting cards too...more about them on another post.
This is my very first Water Card. I'm quite pleased with it. The little thinkgy pulls up and down to reveal a cute little teddy playing in his train! I've left enough room to fix a name on later and the little number tag comes off so I can change the age if I need to! Pretty sure there was a pink one too! Where? Oh...I don't think I'll tell you, I'm feeling mean!! Oh all right then...Free download for the waterfall card is on my sidebar (been there for ages) but for all those who don't read any of this you can click here  Links may no longer work.
Now there's something else on my side bar that wasn't there yesterday...a new blinkie. I wonder if anyone's spotted it? I'll blow my own horn about that later, right that's it...
Ah no! Come back! I haven't finished yet!! Welcome to new Follower 113!!! Big (((wave))) to Annelies (does she?) no..Annelies, all the way from Belgium and is into Scrapbooking! Loads of Blog Candy links on Annelies blog.
