It's that Quirky reminder time again! The Challenge is, My Favourite Things... (Don't forget to tell us what your favourite things you've used, are!)We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and Crafty Ribbons. You have another week to join in and be with a chance to win some lovely digi's or a voucher to spend!
For my second DT Creation, I used this little penguin, called Paul Penguin Sleighing
from our Sponsors.
One of my favourites things to do is to add a PNG digi
over an already coloured background. This snowy Sky is my own freebie paper found HERE.
I did it in Word. (See picture on your right.) First I added the background and sized it down, then added the penguin and did the same, copied three more of him and printed it all out, coloured them with Promarkers. I love 3D-ing to make the image pop, so I did that using bits of the other penguins, an extra hat, scarf and feet and then added a real red pom-pom to his hat! I've gone around the edge of the whole topper with a black felt tip pen leaving a white edge. I also have a 'thing' for fonts. I try to link my posts
to freebie fonts whenever I can. The one I used on this card is called Patterns and Dots and you can download it HERE

Another thing, which I don't get to use
very often, is to use acetate. (usually recycled acetate) I've fixed these snowflakes onto acetate
so I can have then off the edge of the card.
The papers I've used are from Papermania called 'Home For Christmas' which I bought in a sale last Christmas for about £2.50. It's nice and thick (180gsm) and there's loads of things to match with it... I did have some ribbon but couldn't find it! I bet I left it in the shop! (The link is to show you the other matching goodies and not where I bought them)
I've also used punched out flowers and fern leaves to add interest to the other corners, added some Stickles Glitter and two clear gems.
I think that's it! Come and join in over on Quirky Crafts, see you there! Thank you for stopping by! I'm not here but later I hope to add this to some...
