New Home, New Beginnings.

 

 I made two New Home cards. One for the grandkiddies and one for Emma and Tom as they have moved at last from their two bedroom flat to a three bedroom house, with a garden, just around the corner from where they were. This is the card I've sent to the Grandkiddies. I'll post the other card a little later. 

It's a 5x5 card, I added some green glitter card first, then the pattern paper and then for the topper I started with more green card but the background paper is TimHoltz, distress ink in as many shades of green that I have, then I just slashed it with water. I also used a white gel pen and a wink of stella on a few of the diecuts to make then sparkle. This was the fun part, cutting them all out using only scraps, to make up this cute little Potting Shed... I cheated a bit, as I used the picture that came with the dies as a guide and just added/changed a few things and shaded it with Tim Holtz Vintage ink before I fixed it on some 3D foam pads... 

The washi tape paper you can see behind this picture, I made last year on a 12x12 and scanned it as two A4's. You will find them here posted as a Freebie.

WHaTs On your Work TOP WednesdAy?! #755

  And!!! (Breathe) I made it...it's .still Wednesday and I'm still...alive! Happy WOYWW!? I'm joining in with Stamping Ground...last as usual! I did manage to get round last week...but didn't comment on everyone. I'll try harder this week! And what A week....No, I won't go there...you'll just have to image it...oh all right then. Telly's been going a bit daft, in this case going all 'pixelated' which has nothing to do with Piskies (which is where that word actually comes from!) I guessed it needed a new dish...it did...all okay now. The blind lady came...new blinds in about two weeks....you thought I ment...yes...No. She can see! Then the electrician turned up! I thought he'd take one look at what's going on out in the garage and say...'Not going there mate!' But he soon worked it all out and is going to spend one morning, sorting it all out for me....(so I can use my Freezer and Tumble Dryer without it all fusing all the garden lights, John's man cave, my potting shed and pond!) oh and yes...I now have new glasses....no money left after all that, but new glasses!

 And so....as you can see from the pictures above, I'm in the kitchen. Camera man (Kittle the cat's owner) was coming last Monday but was late at a meeting so is now coming at the weekend... so  all work in the craft room stopped! But as least I can see the floor! Pictures above shows that I'm once again cutting out tickets and tags... It sort of gets my mojo going, a tiny bit!

 I'm away house sitting dogs for a while. So, that means no real freebie digi this week as I'm rubbish at drawing from my wacom straight onto the computer....because you're looking at the screen rather than looking at what you're actually drawing and with me that turns out pretty rubbish and very wonky! I like to draw it first, scan it into the laptop/computer rub out all the mistakes and then beef it up a bit. So...these are a bit weird but forever freebies. You can just click on them and save to your computer. Just shapes and colours I could easily conjure up on the laptop. The Bunny and the Hen... ( ATC)

I actually saw a hen chase a bunny today. And did you know? A hen will eat a mouse if they find one! Just a bit of trivia I thought I'd share! But luckily these too are the best of buddies! I imagine the bunny is saying "Is spring here yet?" and the Hen is standing on the bunny's head, so she can 'look see!' You can find this fab freebie over at Bee Crafty

This one's not a card, it's an ATC. In the past I have done quite a few of these. This was made for an 'animal swap' on CMPC forum. Of course I'm also hoping (or should that be hopping?!) to add it to Bee Crafty's Challenge and a few more! The background is of course my own. Coloured with Promakers, and note, no smudging!! as I used my old printer, so there's a tip, don't buy expensive inks for your printers, cheaper ones are so much better for digis!

Last weeks was great, but sorry from me as I couldn't comment on all of your wonderful makes as, I couldn't see you! (blind at a bat!) No, Mr Linky kept skivvying off, but I did come across some of you while blog hopping.

Great Challenge! Reminds me a lot of my Bumper sticker!! "I slow down for fairies, gnomes, trolls, dragons, unicorns and other mystical creatures that only I can see! So!...moving on! Let's see what fabulous magical makes you can come up with! You can make anything, it doesn't have to be a card and you don't have to use any of the images from Stitchy Bear, but we'd love it if you did!! I was given this lovely image called Tinkerbella by one of our new creators, which you can find over in..(ok voice over man, shout it out loud!!)

I made my card using Summers papers by My Minds Eye. Gems and flowers from stash. Tinkerbella has been coloured with Promakers and I've added lots of Stickles giltters and micro glitter too and I've fixed her to the card using 3D foam pads. I've also used my fern and cobweb Martha Stewart punches. I wanted to add a butterfly charm but I've run out of them, so if I manage to find one later I'll add another picture!As I said, 'Tinks' is the artwork of one of our new creators, Sylvie. And A Few More Christmas Cards

Sorry I know you're bored with Christmas Cards, but I haven't been able to post for ages as I've only really just got my craft room back to normal, not that you could ever describe my craft room as normal! This image of a very nice little girl carrying a heart bag was a freebie, I coloured with Promakers. I'll put the links in as soon as I can find her!! The paper was from my Stamping up winnings and Papermania 'Joyeux Noel'

Sorry for those of you who didn't get a card ~ I'm sure I sent them all out on time, but I did lose some cards when we did a bit of room swapping and I still haven't found them! So I made some more and then lost all the address's! What a flap I got myself into!! I couldn't remember who I'd posted to and who I hadn't! You see, over the Christmas we cleared everything out of our bedroom and turned it into a dinning room and nearly everything out of my craft room and turned that back into a bedroom. John got our girls bunk beds down from the attic (I always knew they'd come in handy!) The last time he did this, it was Emma's wedding and the bridesmaids slept in them! This time...it was me and John...I baggsied the top bunk until I realised how hard it was to get in and out of!!! It wasn't too good trust me! What with Ozzie and Missy my daughter's two kittens running all over us during the night, by the fourth night we'd both decided we HAD to have our own bed back, even if if meant sleeping out in the shed!!
Right, back to the cards!! These and some to follow, are all the ''quickie' cards, as I call them, as I'd lost the first patch I'd made, and I was fast running out of everything!! Card, paper, glue and time!! The little Penny Black card with the cat on the armchair..(just like home...the cat's always in the best chair!!) was the quickest card I'd ever made!! The actual pink dotty card is very small and was a freebie from a Crafty mag.
This Cheeky Snowman with the blue matching papers was a freebie. You'll find him over on GTC Crafty Corner. There's loads of lovely downloads for you to go and find. So pop over and have a look, don't forget to leave a lovely comment!!

Life's A Beach ATC's

These were made for a forum swap and I've forgotten where! Honestly, if my head wasn't screwed on...or, if I had half a brain cell, I'd be dangerous! Today's been quite good by the way! No slugs in the bath and Frog the cat didn't eat my Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, although she did purr in my ear and poke my nose at 5.30 this morning until she got distracted by a fly... Hmm... (sorry...I just love these cartoons!)

Popped into 'work' for a while, mainly to feed the cats and collect some lovely new laid eggs from the chickens. Off out for most of the day tomorrow as we're dog sitting all day. Hope it stays sunny! These ATC's as I said, were made for a swap. I received my swaps in the post yesterday. The theme was anything to do with holidays, camping, caravaning, the beach. So I did lollies and ice cream. I had back some lovely ATC's. A Messy Rabbit outside his tent. A die cut car, "Are we there yet?" and a bathing beauty. (and when my camera starts working again I'll take some photo's and put them on my PhotoBucket...and where's my PhotoBucket?? Click on the Spinning Cat! All mod-cons on this blog!) I'm quite sure the lollies and the words I used on my ATC's were form ScrapGirls as one of their 'scrapbooking biggies' They no longer have it as a freebie but there is another 'biggie' here
The papers, with the little boats and beach huts were from a crafty Magazine. The shell beads came from The Pound shop sometime ago. I knew if a yakked (yakked?) no, waffled on long enough I'd remember the forum! It's Crafter's Champanion

Little Miss Sun Bonnet

Arrggh!! Nearly suffered a heart attack or worse. Google, yes, Google wouldn't let me in my blog this afternoon! Palpitations, shaky knees, blurred vision (only coz I couldn't find my reading glasses) John came home and everything was sorted. Virus check was done, computer, ok, and my glasses, were on my head all the time! Phew!

This is just a quick post...(yes I know you've heard that one before) Here's a little card I made whilst suffering from withdrawal symptoms.
