What's On your Worktop today?WOYWW#686

Happy WOYWW!? For a minute I thought I'd missed it! I didn't start taking pictures till about five minutes ago and then I was waylaid with Lady Pam's little battery vacuum cleaner. Her little house is at last empty now and looking very sad. We've kept back the electric lawn mower too, so we can nip back at any time to have a mow and a vac. She always said we'd have a job clearing it out, and she wasn't wrong! Her two beds had to be sawn in half as there was no way they'd go down her very narrow stair case, making us all think, the bedroom walls must have been built, once the bedroom furniture was put in place.

So, back home and I'm still playing with those Perfect Pearls I played with last week. I've done a bit of embossing and bleaching,   played with a lovely die-set from the Memory Box Magazine and I've painted the flower pot gold....(It was there, so I painted it)  The little ginger house is a download, (pinterset) coloured on the computer and printed out.

And... I've only just realised that I can make boxes using my Adorable Scoreboard. (There's a youtube tutorial HERE) On the bottom left hand side it sez, box lid and on the right hand side it sez, box base. So you measure the lid on the left side (1.2. 3. etc) and then, measure for the base using the numbers on the right...(12. 11. 10 etc) because there's a little nic on the left hand side making that measurement a tiny bit bigger than the measurement on the left side) Genius!

Called into the Crafty Charity shop, took Lola the Chihahua with me in the puppy pram, she loves it!  Everyone wanted to fuss her. There was a bargain. A crafting trolly for £8. No I didn't get it, I thought about it though! I've been fancying one for ages and have been using Pam's shopping trolly, brand new, never used, and finding that very useful to take the odd crafty thing from my stash back to the shop for them to sell (for charity)  and when we've  been off camping or dog sitting. I can get a load of crafty things in it. And there was no way I could manage both the puppy pram and the crafting trolly. I get enough grins from people as it is! ('There's that weird bag lady!') That's it from me! The Wednesday Freebie is in the post below. See you all later over on Stamping Ground. Have a great week. Thank you for stopping by!

This Weeks Wedneday Freebie! A Christmas in July Santa! Closed

Hope you like this Santa sitting or shoud I say, stuck in the chimney!  A comment would be lovely!

It's A Gate-Fold Butterfly Card Using Butterfly Trails.

Here's  my second card made using the die-cuts from 'Butterfly Trails' by Christina Griffiths, Card Making Magic. It's 5x7. Some of the pictures are a little different, because of sunlight, day light or even night light and because I kept changing my mind. I also wanted to add more to the inside of the card, (I'm not keen on that naked purple but, it was too hot and I couldn't be bothered! (I can always add something later).

And, looking at this picture now...I think I will at something later! I didn't think it needed that extra half of the butterfly and I nearly cut it off. I could've cut the front butterfly in half and fixed each piece to the 'butterfly flaps so the card opened through the middle of the butterfly...but having it just fixed to one side, it was like having a boneless spare leg flapping about! So, no I didn't cut it off...

...I added some more backing paper to it... (Butterfly Kisses by Dovecraft/ Craftlabel) The papers on the front Butterfly (spots and purple jungle leaves) are from a double sided 12x12 Jungle paper pad from 'The Works.'

And now...it has a belly band. The purple butterfly ribbon is from my stash. I've fixed it to a thin piece of card to stop it going all floppy. On the front of the bellyband is a stitched die-cut 'flower' probably from a magazine and I've used that perfume shiny purple cardboard box again. One of the tabs had a gold embossed face and I used that... it wasn't very well centred so I added the tiny butterflies as well. At last! The card is finished! It's taken me all week, (Had cats to feed and dogs to see! And the days are just not long enough!) It should've posted on Saturday but today will do! Have a great week.  Thank you for stopping by!

Here's Another freebie for Wednesday for you!! Closed

I was feeling it was about time I did another mushroom house and I wasn't having any fuzzy feelings for this weeks freebie. SO! Here is... Sunny Holme. That was the name of hubby's Mum and Dad's house. People kept stealing the house name! It's still called Sunny Holme as the homes in this road, don't appear to have house numbers. A comment would be lovely! Thank you for stopping by!

It's Wednesday, again) and another trip to Stamping Ground is in order! Hope you all got through the really Hot weather we've had these past few days, which means... I haven't done much crafting apart from finishing off the card I started a few days ago. An Anniversary Butterfly Pop out 'Box' Card...

Happy Belated Anniversary to sis in law and Bro-in law. I made this Butterfly box card, using mostly, different shades of purple card.

I followed the Tutorial from Sam Calcott on YouTube, but it went a little bit wrong. Some of the die-cuts wouldn't cut, even after going through my new BigShot three or four times. In the end I snipped them with my scissors and they didn't turn out too bad. Debs took these pictures as I'd forgotten to. The front of the card, the very top picture, the butterfly is in silver miri and the rest are in Crafter's Companion Centural Pearl, Snow White, Hint of Gold. 310gsm.

The box card should close flat, so that all the butterflies fold in together, but I couldn't get the butterfly bodys to fold in the middle, so I ended up adding another butterfly to make the circle complete and just hand delivered it! The butterfly's body part  was actually a pretty purple multi-mirri patterned perfume box (Versage woman Eau de Perfum Natural spray- not mine! I found it in someones recycle bin one Christmas! years back-too nice to throw away) so it was probably a little too thick to fold over. The last butterfly provides a space to write your sentiment on the back of its wing.
I've just finished or nearly finished another butterfly card using the same die-set, which makes a gatefold card.
Butterfly Trails, Card Making Magic by Christina Griffiths. I'll show you that later. Click on Sam's link above to show you how the card should've looked like!  Or Here to see it on her blog. That's it for now. Thank you for stopping by!

It's Wednesday, So It's WOYWW!? #684

Good Morning Crafters and WOYWW-ers !  And thank you to our Lovely host over at Stamping Ground for bringing us to this point in time! Have you ever actually tried that? Stamping ground? Probably with your feet but I'm guessing not with a rubber stamp...could start a new trend... but I think not! Mind you, seagulls do it, pitter-patter-pitter-patter, but the end product there is a nice big fat juicey worm. Not a stamped image of... whatever.

Soooo! Here's my worktop at this moment. I've being making birthday and anniversay cards...will show later. I do have a lot of scissors out...that's because the butterfly die wasn't cutting through the butterfly's head, so I had to snip it, carefully! and everytime I put my scissors down I can't find them, so I get another pair out. That  roll of gold glittered paper is sticky, really nice and loads of it. The tower of stars and the door embossing folder was from that Crafty Charity shop near me...50p each. The little faver box on the far left I found at Lady Pam's. Still with the 2008 penny in it, the sweeties had gone of course.  Right, that's it!  Freeeebie is HERE  (I forgot to link it before)  Hubby wants to go somewhere, so...off we go! (and tomorrow we have dogs) See you all over on WOYWW!? Thank you for stopping by!

It's that Time Again! What's On Your WorkTop Wednesday!? #683

Welcome to WOYWW!? (and Stamping Ground!) and as you can see, my Worktop is under there somewhere! I think I said last week that I wasn't going to buy any more crafty stuff for months but I did! Well, the mags are those expensive ones normally 14.99 -but these were all a fiver (from CraftStash) and that pink storage case was only a £1 from the crafty Charity shop. Doesn't look as though it's been used. I'm just about to cover some black card in sticky black plastic and fix the strips over the holes on those A5 punched pockets, as of course, the crafty people who make those pink storage folders don't put their holes in the same place as every one does...so of course they don't fit, because they want you to buy theirs that do fit for a lot more money! I'll cover them, punch in new holes so that they fit the pink storage bag and fill it with crafty goodies. Easy! And arrggh!!

My old Big Shot died...the smallest cogg broke all its teeth off. It was very old so it has lasted a very long time, shame Sizzix wouldn't sell me another cogg, hubby rung them up...'only if it's under warrenty or under three years old...' -mine is years and years old! If it was human inwould be in a wheelchair or at lest carry a stick. Anyway...we took Mr Jinx to the vet yesterday (blood tests) and on the way back hubby turned off at Hobby Craft and said, thanks to 'Lady Pam' (bless her) 'let's go buy a new one.' Love Him! (and Pam of course) YAY!

And here's the New Big shot! Love it. Kicking myself a little bit though, as only about a week ago that Crafty Charity Shop had one still in its box for half the price but that of course got snapped up! That's it from me. Have a really crafty week! See you over on WOYWW later. I will be late as we are off looking after dogs, again. (I will retire one day!) Thank you for stopping by!
