Happy Birthday Mason Rain! Twelve today! It's a Monkey Spinner Card with a difference!

 Oh my giddy goodness! It doesn't seem that long ago, we were over in Seattle visiting him in hospital the day after Mason Rain Taylor was born! The thing that stuck in my head most was.....(apart from what a gorgeous baby grandson I had!) was the tills at the reception.  We don't have them over here, and I hope we never will! Anyway. Here's the card I made a little while back already gone off to Skykomish in the USA, a monkey penny spinner card... with a difference.  You said you were going to add a bit more to the front Lyn... (sez the voice inside my head) Yes! I have! but not on the front.... the inside!

It came to me in one of those light bulb moments... make a monkey spinner card with a difference, so I did. I had a few monkeys left over from Maria's card and the lovely jungle paper (The Works)  So set about planning my next move once the front of the card was finished. And this is  it!

It's a different card? With bears? No! well, yes, there's bears... but wait  for the next picture!

               

Dah dah! Here it is...it's a box card inside the spinner card! It all folds down flat to make a 5x7 card. All the papers are from a 12x12 paper stack called 'Jungle Dreams' from 'The Works'. I chose bears, because, quite often, Mason gets real live bears, in his garden! Now, hubby who is sitting opposite me, drinking his beer....(I'm posting this is a pub) has just said... "Isn't Mason 12?" and begins counting on his fingers! What!!? No! The card's gone off with 11 on it! Argh! Quickly, I start counting on my fingers too... "its' okay," he sez, still grinning... "He was 11!" Phew!  "Last Year!" Oh Poo! No one will notice! sigh! Well, there we go, that's my lastest make... I have done a video...but seeing I'm not around, and have no internet where I am, I'll post it next week! Thank you for stopping by!!

Such a cute picture of Mason in the snow, which is surrounding his home at the moment over in Money Creek, Skykomish. And as for the rubber ring, bit sore (and cold) on the bum going down hill, but great fun!

It's Snowing in Skykomish

Last year I think I blogged about the snow over where my youngest daughter Maria lives with hubby and our grandson Mason Rain. In that picture he was all snuggled up with his mum, but now a year later here's Mason and his very first play in the snow in Skykomish, where he lives. I think he's going to be a ski-er!

Just thought I'd share, Mason, who will be one year old at the end of the month is walking, and very well by the looks of it! Definitely knows what he wants ...I'll have that, and that, and some of that too!

Aw, look at him, all Halloweeny !! Taking his first steps, it doesn't seem five minutes ago that I was blogging on my laptop in a hotel room just outside Seattle that he'd been born.. Thank goodness for Face Book.

Sorry, no cards...busy cleaning windows... and painting... bored with that, sooo you're just going to have to put up with me showing off my lovely Grandson. He's growing sooo fast! Here's a couple of pictures I nabbed from Face Book a few minutes ago. He's just toooo cute for words. Just wish he wasn't so far away!

What we did next...

We're still in Seattle well, we're staying in a Hotel, which is about 45 minutes from Seattle and about half an hour from Monroe, where Maria and baby Mason are now home. I'm still very surprised she was allowed home so quickly from Hospital after having a Caesarean. (Two days! Stitches out-home!!)

Mason was still looking a bit yellow, even after his hospital visit, (yep, we had to drive all the way back to the hospital the next day for his check ups...the ones the doctors over here usually do in the hospital before you leave...) the doctor didn't really (in my view) seem that worried about it. When Emma was a baby, (my eldest) she was put straight into one of those see through baby incubators with the light over, you know the kind, but no, not here... it saves money I guess, and I would have meant a longer stay in Hospital, but anyway he's now having a bottle to help top up his fluids and is looking a lot less yellow.

We've spent the last few days helping Maria and baby while Jesse has started getting back into his work. He does work from home but has to travel miles to see clients. had an odd feeling about all that, but I guess that's just me being mum.

Saturday we thought we'd 'do Seattle' and today will call in and spend time with Maria and baby, but not before we take a look at the place (if we can find it!) where she is hopefully moving next week!!!

The little wooden house (they are all wooded houses over here) where they are living now, is up for auction in two weeks time !!! So is all packed up and ready for the big move, which still doesn't seem a sure deal yet. But they don't seem worried and are all excited about the move to the 'cabin' in Money Creek! (Or is that Muddy Creek?) Frankly, the thought of being snowed in for months in winter, worries me silly!!
