Oh! Snow more Snowmen cards!!

One more Snowman card? Are you bored with them yet? (yes!) Oh well, hard cheddar, coz here's another one!

I didn't post this one, as the person I sent it to said they hadn't received it yet...(That's probably why they didn't get it Lyn) No, no, I posted it-with a stamp, what I mean is, posted it on here, but they must've got it by now as it was one of the first ones I sent off ages ago, which was rather good for me! What have I used?? Oho, Stamping Up! papers and stickers (I won them last Christmas!!) Promakers, Micro and Stickles Glitter, Woodware and MS punches, and inside a very pretty corner punch by Docraft's Xcut. The ribbon's from my stash and that might be DoCraft's too. I've also added some sequin holly and a tiny bow to the flowers.
The two main pictures look the same but one has micro find glitter added to the middle snowman's scarf and the other one hasn't! I've 3D-ed the snowmen again, I like them 3D-ed! Makes them pop out! You can't really see the inside font, but it's a freebie called English 111Vivace BT and you can download it HERE
That's it! I was trying to be very clever and do 365 post's this year...(359 plus one in draft) so I haven't quite made it (aw shame) but I'm not far off and there's still time!!

Tom & Emma's Christmas Card

Happy Christmas Eve every one! Now that Tom and Emma have received their Christmas card, I guess it's okay to show it to you! I've used Pink Petticoat Papers all in Ocean, which is a sort of a pale blue. I printed out some swirls, stars and just plain blue, which is nice, so it all matches.

The three little snowmen, I'm sure are Penny Black, were a RAC some time ago. (It's surprising what I can find when I'm looking for something else!)

I've used a 3D effect. Fast becoming my favourite way of doing things. Coloured one image, then cut out another and fixed it over the top of the first, so you still get all the fiddly bits without having to cut round them.
I place the second image face down in the palm of my hand and then just swirl a finger round and round (or use a large balled embossing tool) until the paper/card curls a little. Then just fix it over the first image with silicone glue.
I've used a cuttlebug die cut for one corner, using the same colour to keep it matching. Coloured the snowman images using Promakers and added micro fine glitter everywhere it would stick!

For the scalloped circles I've used a large 3" Woodware punch and the largest Nestie scalloped circle. The flowers, gems, snowflakes, pearls, ribbon are all from stash. Fern leaves, are of course a Martha Steward punch. The inside message was done on the computer. It's called Handscript SF and can be downloaded for free HERE

Another Snowman?

First time ever I've used this Snowman stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller. Cute and whimsical I think, so I've added quite a lot of mirco glitter to make it sparkle, then fitted it to two scallop circles cut by my Nesties, and coloured the image as always (well, nearly always!) with Promakers.

I've cut off a tiny bit of the edge of the card with my Xcut scalloped edge boarder punch, so you can just see a glimpse of the paper inside the card too. On the front of the card I also let a little bit of the pearl card show to emphasize the scalloped edge. Papers are once more from Forever Friends, which I've added Stickles Glitter, to make those springs of holly sparkle.
The Merry Christmas sentiment is from a clear pack of 12 assorted Christmasy what-knots-thinga-me-jigs by Papermania (including a tag and sentiments) I did punch it out with my woodware punch, but it left too much white around the edge so I ended up cutting it out and fixing it to a smaller scalloped Nestie circle too. MS punch for the fern leaves. Flowers, gems and ribbon from my stash. The ribbon was put through one of those X shaped sticky labelling gizmo's, so it's stuck on too, and the bow is a bit of a cheat as I fixed that on afterwards using silicon glue! Oh and the Candy 'brads' came in a packet of about 400 mixed shades from my 'local' (miles away) craft shop.
The inside font was done on the computer and is a freebie. It's called A Yummy Apology and you can download it HERE Not sure where the little wreath sticker came from, it suddenly appeared while I was taking the pictures, so of course I just had to stick it in! I'll be giving this card to my Mum and dad this year.

And people, mainly ladies, (sorry but that's what I've noticed!!) have no idea how to drive in the snow!! And for those of you who didn't see me buying them (a few posts down)... my new crafty item I used in the making of this card (besides the lovely fairy image) was... My New Promakers! I was such a happy bunny, seeing them for only £4.74 that I bought six packets! I now have loads more new colours. So Me and John will be living on Beans on Toast for the next week! (Only kidding....just beans!)
The lovely fairy image you all must have seen, can be found over in the Stitchy Bear Store. She's one of the Flower Fairies this one's by Stitchy and is called Butterfly Love There's another one called Flower Fairy by Lil Diva Stamps.
I've used my Promakers to colour her, Micro Glitter on her wings and bodice and a dash of a white gel pen. The flower is from Cardmaker's and Papercraft 'Reader's Page' winnings (yay!!)
I've also used a cuttlebug embossing folder through my Big Shot, and also a large scalloped circle from Nestabilities. The Butterflies are Tim Coffey, K & Company, embossed Stickers (slightly talced so they don't stick all the way down) The paper is a scrap booking sheet cut to fit a (new, bought it yesterday!) textured linen effect dark blue card and folded back (I was going to cut half way around the circle but my craft knife is a bit iffy, and I just know it would tear the paper through such thick card, so my tip is always use a sharp craft knife!!) I'll find out the name of the papers and add it later. The font is a freebie. It's called Frosty, you may already have it but if not, you can download it for free HERE (It has tiny snow flakes on it, but they were too small to see.)So?? What are you all wanting for? ATC's Teddy Love

Haven't made ATC's for ages but just lately I've been making three lots of three. Needless to say I got them all muddled up and nearly sent the wrong ones to the wrong swap! I actually got to the Post Office and that little voice in my head said, "Hey, aren't these suppose to be Love" and you know, for once that little voice was right!

These ATC's were made for a swap on The Cardmarking Down loads Forum. The theme was 'Love' (of course!!) I usually do them all differently, or a bit different, but this time I did them all the same, just slightly different colours. Pink, Red and Magenta.

I used Forever Friends clear stamps, coloured them using Promakers pens. The main paper was a freebie ages ago from ScrapGirls called 'Bright side papers Pink Heart' and I think they go quite well! There's a few Love themed freebies over there right now.

Snowy's A Little Green

Here he is...A green Snowy, probably the last 'Snowy' Christmas card you'll see on here for ages and ages!! (Hooray! I can hear you say) I sent this card to my Sister-in-law, only it did have more embellishments on it but, as always, I can only find this picture of him. So you'll just have to imagine the velvet green ribbon and the swirling gems I added under the flower for a stem and the Merry Christmas signature. I also added more glitter to the papers, as I'd already used them on another card and wanted to make ithis one look a little different. That's it! Short and sweet! You're going!?? Yep!! I'm busy at the moment 'inventing' something!! A left handed coffee mug? A silent alarm clock? Self tightening sky hooks? (actually they'd be quite useful!) No! Don't be silly! Wait and see! A Bit of Yellow Quirkyness

I'm back! (says me in an odd squeaky voice) This is my DT card for the Quirky Forum Challenge, which starts up again today after a little Christmas Holiday beak ~ I mean break. I've been busy all day, well, for most of the day, making this lovely card, for someone...(tell you who later!)
This time around the challenge was set by Ann, Chocolate Fudge Cake, to make a yellow card. (well done Kazabing, who guessed right!)
I printed out some lovely Pink Petticoat papers called Grannies Wallpaper last night and had it all set in my small brain on what I was going to do. And then, lost the printed paper's. Easy, says you, just print out some more. Hmm. It was at this point my printer decided to turn itself off again. So!! The hunt was on for yellow paper! Could I find some? No. And then I remembered those little booklets of freebie papers you get with magazines. (which of course hardly ever get used) And luckily, I found these yellow papers, which I think are that bad! Yellow with a few other colours too. I used a lilac card, so edged everything in lilac to match. Ok, so what's wrong with it, you say. Well, nothing! Only it's suppose to have a duck on it! and it wasn't until I loaded it up onto the DT blog, I saw all the other little ducks...and a camel... I mean, I didn't have to use the duck but you see, this fortnight the challenge has kindly been sponsored by Quirky Forum member Debbie, who most of you might already know is the owner and designer of

A Merry Quick Card

After I came to the frightening conclusion that I might never find the Christmas cards I'd already made and lost, panic did set in, so of course I had to quickly make some really quick cards. Obviously the quickest card to make is to fold a bit of card in half and stick a sticker on the front. But I can't do that. So, I found this little image which I'd already coloured in using my Promakers, covered a blank white card with holly paper, (All papers were from Forever Friends, Christmas Glow paper pack) added a strip if dotty paper, which I'd been practising using my Martha Stewart punch on, (I keep everything!) then used the strips of green paper that were still left by my cutter as 'ribbon' and stabbed in a brad where they crossed, edged everything in red and added glitter. The flower was left over from another card, so the only 'real' work was to stamp and emboss the 'Merry Christmas', make the insert and add a bit more dotty paper to match the front! It didn't turn out too bad, did it!

I'm Seeing Pink Snowmen!

Like elephants, you don't often see a lot of pink snowmen unless the Margaretta's have been flowing! but I thought it might make a change as this is about my 50th 'Snowy' Card. Aren't you lucky I haven't posted them all on here! (There's still time!)
How are you all doing with your New Year Resolutions?? Well, don't worry about it, I only kept up one of mine from last year and that was to start a blog!! And 'da da!!' here it is!
My 'aim' this year is to do some Digi drawings and to try and do more challenges. Well, try and do them on the right day and the right challenge as I got a few muddled up last year!
Also...have you noticed? Well you would if you'd scrolled down to the bottom, I've now got over 19,000 hits. I know most of you have trillions more than that but wow! I can remember when I first put in the widget counter and telling hubby, 'I've gotta hit!' and he grinned and said, that was probably me!
Anyway, February will be my First Bloggaversary and March is my Birthday and April is me and John's Wedding Anniversary, soooo I think it's about time I thought of some more Followers Blog Candy don't you!! I'll see what I can do! Meanwhile, let's hear what your favourite 'can't do without' crafty thing is'

A Christmas Card for Mum and Dad

This Tilda card I made for my Mum and Dad. I used Papermania papers and my Stampin' Up prize papers over some gold miri card that I fixed on to a folded green card, then of course I couldn't find an envelope for it! You've probably spotted that I quite liked these papers as I did a few similar cards, one being Tom's and Emma's card, which I posted here on January 1st. The Christmas Tree brads I think were from Woodware, the image was a swap, which I've had for ages but only just found Christmas Eve! (Yes I was still making cards Christmas morning!) I haven't found her to buy yet, so I'm not sure of her real name but if you've seen her let me know! She has wings, so does that make her an angel?? I hope so, because after doing a spot of blog hopping I found The ABC Christmas Challenge blog. This time round the Challenge is A is for Angel, anyway, I think she's an angel so I'm going to put her into the challenge! Pop over and have a look, I bet you have an angel card that'll fit in with this challenge too! There's also some blog candy going too, all you have to do it post about it and add this badge to your side bar. I did turn off the word variation, it was off for about two to three weeks, but I'm afraid I was swamped with spam...so I'm sorry guys...it's gone back on!! (No...I've taken it off again...)
Back to the card!! The red dotty ribbon is from my stash. I used double sided tape to fix the ribbon and silicone to add the bow. As you can see, it was a little too wide, so, a sprinkling of gold micro glitter hid the extra stickiness! Sorry for being a terrible blogger lately. To make up for it I've added a few more posts down below...! Hmmm...that sounds a little painful!

My Quirky Challenge Card.

(Sorry, I'm a bit late, I kept thinking the clock in my craft room was the 'old time' and it wasn't!) This wasn't going to be a Christmas Card... but... as you can see, it is! Challenge 15 is Anne's idea. (Chocolate Fudge Cake)

A Recipe Challenge
One ribbon, two shades of pink and three eyelets.

It was lovely but at the same time quite tricky, I kept wanting to print out blue. Just stick a sheet of pink paper on the card, I told myself. I used Pink Petticoat papers, because I knew I'd have loads of different pinks to choose from, but, what I didn't realise is, not all pinks look good together. I made the flowers next, then wrapped the ribbon around the second pink and fixed the bow on with silicone glue. Then before I attached that and the flowers to the card with 3D foam pads I used my Crop-a-Dial (that's pink too!) to fix in the silver eyelets. But I still hadn't decided on an image. I had all sorts spread out across my work bench but none of them would do. I even coloured a few in, but once that happened, the extra colour just didn't look right. So I left the image and decided to add some silver sequins to the flowers to match the eyelets.
Sitting on my laptop were about a dozen 'leaves' in black and white that I'd punched out when I first opened up my new punch. I picked up the white leaves placed them around the flowers and added some Stickles glitter and at once it became a Christmas card, without using any Christmas papers!
When I opened my folder of stamped images, the page fell open, and there at the top were the kissing hedgehogs! Perfect! So I didn't have to add too much colour because the white instantly became snow!
"Merry Kissmas" was done on my laptop in 'rose' rather than pink and the result is...a pink Christmas card! The font is a FREEBIE and is called Honey Script and you can down load it HERE where you'll find two font files, light and semi bold. (Click the pic to make it larger so you can see the font!)
As you can see, the lighting wasn't very good today. The 'blue-ish' picture at the top was actually done outside, where I had to wrestle with the wind! (I won't tell you what the white is, I'll let you guess!) Pop over To the Quirky forum, I know you all love pink, and make whatever tickles your fancy!!

A Quirky Challenge

I've just joined another forum, (oh no~ let's hide!) Quirky Crafts and provided I can remember where it is and the password...(since my laptop's come off sick leave, I've lost a lot of my passwords...)I'm thinking I might enter this Tilda in to one of their first challenges. I followed their sketch, which was really easy...(it didn't walk very fast) and used those K and Co papers I used further down the blog, K-Ology. They're growing on me...(no, not like bindweed, more in a papery sort of way) I love that mauve, and the green has mauve threadled ~oh alright, threaded ~ through it, but that doesn't show up in the photo. I put the lighter mauve through the the BigShot and embossed Happy Birthday all over it, using the Cuttlebug folder, punched out the flowers, with a Woodware punch and coloured Tilda with my (dad's ~ shhh! I've still got them) ProMarkers, then did that thing with the insert I did before, ran it through the scanner so I can re-use it, but this time missed out the Loony Lyn.
Internet was playing up again today, the lady in India suggested we 'turn the computer on...' so I'm late posting this, it's already tomorrow!

Strawberry Sundae Shaker

Here it is! The card that made all that mess! My Strawberry Sundae Shaker. I'm really pleased with it. The colours are just soooo mouth watering juicy! The only thing, I should've put something else inside that window...I had a couple of mice poking their tongues out (licking the ice cream?) but they were really the wrong colour...or maybe more beads or perhaps one of the other papers~ or just framed the ice cream, there's an idea. The papers, you all should know by now, are freebies from, Tinker and Co. and if you want some more ideas of what to do with these lovely papers once you've got them, there's loads over on their site and a chance to win some stuff! (I said that in a whisper).You haven't got them yet?? Why not!!? Pop over right now and hunt them down...no, wait~ after you've read this! It's so mind blowingly interesting! Wow!! Now, where was I? Oh yes... I've looked into my Crystal Ball and I can see that I will enter this card into Die Cut Dreams Challenge 10# That'll be sometime in August, hopefully when the sun's nice and hot and we're all down the beach eating ice creams!! Because that's what the challenge is all about. Ice Cream!! (Yum)
The wording I've typed in a circle was done on my computer and punched out with a Woodware punch. I think I might do a 'thing' on how to do that, then put it down at the bottom of the blog so it's always there~what d'you think? Let me know! (I bet you don't...I said that in a whisper too)
The little button hand was in my stash (I was thinking sticky fingers after eating all that ice cream? No? Oh, only me then! Hmm, after I've eaten ice cream hubby will grin and run his finger over his top lip...and I'll grin back, all sexy like...half an hour later I'll realise...I have a chocolate moustache!)
The paper for the flowers was first put through my BigShot using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I've noticed, the paper seems to have more 'body' once its been embossed. Think I'll print on both sides next time though, so there's no 'white' showing. I've put a little micro glitter on the ice cream and some Stickles glitter on the flowers. The fiber wool's from my stash...one of the balls I bought from a charity shop (3 large balls for a pound~ I know what you're thinking... you'd pay a pound to see that...)
I was playing about with the inside last night. The 'real' one is at the top, the lower one is the scan, which I've saved on my computer to use again. I then printed the 'Happy Birthday' along with 'Loony Lyn'. (Ran it through on another piece of paper first just to make sure it all lined up in the right place) All my cards, if they're going off to Forum Members (I'm on a few Birthday Lists) usually have Loony Lyn inside and on the back. I used to sign all my cartoon correspondence using her, there's a spider on her pen. (Only a small one Charlotte!) It's supposed to be me, (the person not the spider)Welllll... I'm allowed a little artistic license!
I've used one of the other ice cream sundaes inside and also the Sizzix word, 'Fun.'
I did end up stamping 'Happy Birthday' on the original insert but it smudged a tiny bit.. My mind was on Strawberries instead of stamping! Catch you again later...

The Same But Different

Just a quicky card I made while making the shaker Tilda card and the other Tilda card down below...(to see them you have to scroll down...use that lazy pointing finger, go on and scroll down..that's right...got to do some exercise after eating all that food yesterday! Actually I was very good, and waited for my lovely dinner cooked my Hubby John. We, the royal we, that is, had a short trip over to The Christchurch Food Festival yesterday afternoon, which has been going on all week. (I'll pop in pictures later...camera's gone walk about!)
Anyway, back to the card...almost the same as the one below...you can scroll down again if you wish! Same Tilda, almost, same Pink Petticoat papers and coloured in with the same Whisper pens...see if you can spot the difference! Think I've gone a bit over the top with my black pen again though. This stamp is definitely on my wish list, it's so cute.
The 'Just for You' stamp was done with StazOn Jet Black ink this time, with clear embossing power/ heat gun, but I added an eyelet too, using my Crop-a-dile. Also added a bit more fibre...always need fibre! (Actually I think that might be fiber) The flower is the same as on the Shaker card...the other card has punched out paper flowers, (well done Gina for spotting that! and Tilda has a blue hat here and an all pink hat in the other pic!) oh I can see you can't be bothered scrolling down...well, it's a bit warm today, isn't it! Here's a 'group' picture of all three cards...say cheese!

A Bloggy Challenge

Hi everyone (she sez thinking someone might answer) well, you never know. (At this point the door bell chimes. Some young boy, trying to sell double glazing, etc etc...a kind of hint that the garden needs attention and the windows and gutters could do with a clean! because they always knock on the door where they think they might, just might get a sale...no chance here though! I'm really behind with my makes because of the dog sitting...not that I actually sit on the dogs, but you know what I mean. Their owners are now home from their trip to Istanbul. Lovely.
I made this card for a challenge...but for the life of me can't remember where or when. I sometimes wish my brain was a tiny bit bigger. Hubby, says it's ok as it is...any more active braincells, and I'd be dangerous!
I coloured Tilda in with Whisper Pens, added a bit of micro glitter and because she was a forum swap and not too 'clear' I added a bit more detail with my black pen. All the papers are Pink Petticoat and the stamp 'Just For You' was a Papermania freebie with the do-crafts Creativity Magazine. I used Color Box Petal Point 'Dusty Plum' on that, (which I also used to edge the paper) and a bit of clear embossing power and my heat gun.
Ah! I think I've now found the challenge over on Creative Inspirations, here's the sketch.
