Just Remembered, it's WOYW Wednesday! With a touch of Tuesday too

 I know, where have I been? Anywhere but popping into BlogLand or joining in with WOYWW. Sorry I missed the ATC swap on Tea for Tuesday's Anniversary, (although I did make some ATC's) but, as I've said before, life gets in the way!  I've had new plugs fitted, a new electric fuse box, the loft ladder is still broken, a man turned up unannounced, said he'd be back the following week...never showed, and, I had to hunt for a mouse for my laptop... I couldn't get onto the internet or sign in with my password as my mouse wouldn't work! And the whirling thing you work with your fingers, I've never been able to master that! I couldn't type in my password...

 Anyway!! A lot of expence later and I'm here at last!! And today I have a small shopping hull from a charity shop. Two Edith Holden  books, two 10p magazines, to cut up for when I ever get time to make glue books or use them for journals, etc...

  plus another Maws Broons cook book, which looks like its been hand made with scraps of everything! But, its not! 

  And, a new Sizzix die, never been used, plus a little magnetic box/book, (which once probably held soap, and will be just right for hiding 'secret things' in) all for under a fiver. Yes, I know I already have those  books, but now I have more I won't mind chopping them up, and keeping the better ones.

I nearly forgot....It's Tuesday!

  Thank you to Jo,  who reminded me with a 'happy T day' earlier  ...and seeing I was else where last week and didn't make it, I did take pictures this morning...boring ones but never the less...pictures!  Anyway! After forgetting to post and link, as I was out with Frankie, hope everyone had a Happy T Day! Pop over the Elizabeth and Bleubeard for more details....My picture shows my usual drinks, including my mini hedge trimmer...I nipped out to cut a few leaves off the hedge before the garden bin men turned up...(I like a full bin!) 

 

 I had some more very brown eggs  and a couple of ducks eggs from my neighbour... So had to have a boiled egg and then...

Tom (sil) posted that he'd just visited a new 'bike' cafe on one of his very long bike rides and stopped off for a mocha and a cheese and onion toasted sandwich, which was well worth the stop! 

  

I took Frankie out again, and we stopped for a Hot chocolate and a shortbread cake...but Frankie ate that before I could take the picture! I think he thinks that's funny!!

Time for TEA on Tuesday...

There's been no blogging from me once again....trouble with life, it does get in the way sometimes...most of the time ...all of the time, then there isn't any time left! I have been busy though. This morning was up with the crack of dawn, filling my garden bin, before it was collected... triming bushes, and hedges (you can just see my little hedge cutter at the top of the picture) chopping down others, (my saw's are getting very blunt as the 'thing' that John used to sharpen them seems to be missing)

...then mowing and by nine o'clock a.m. I decided to have some elevenses and fell asleep! Dah! Still trying to get my little home back into some order. There's still painting to do...and there's still a heap of junk to go down the tip, scattered in my driveway, but on a good note, it is getting smaller. Being Tuesday and very hot outside, (washing on the new line, the old one kept breaking) I decided to join in with T For Tuesday, (Alterted Book lover) seeing I did have a few drink related pictures left over from the weeks I'd missed!

Think I may've already shown you this picture! It's a good hours drive for me to get back home from Emma's, so....it was definitely Baileys Time! The Sizzix die cuts in the back ground were a bargain of the week, from the crafty charity shop near me.

And back to my Breakfast, this very dark free range egg, from my neighbour, was the darkest brown egg, I'd ever seen! Laid by one of her black hens! Very runny! That's it from me! Hoping to join in with WOYWW!? tomorrow too! Bye for now! Thank you for stopping by! Stay cool!

It's Tuesday Again...and Time for T

 Morning everyone. Yes, I've been missing for ages, I had little furballs staying again and I just didn't have any time to blog or do anything else! ...but, they've gone now soooo... here's  my usual 'boring breakfast' and my fruit and veggies drinks, (no tea today) so I can join in with T stands for Tuesday!....Oops no! This is yesterday's breakfast! (how can I tell!?) I had a Crafty package arrive! (goodies inside) So fast forward to today's picture...

 Packet unpacked... slightly different fruit drinks with 'boring breakfast' this morning, so what was inside the packagae, amoung other things?? this ink pad shelving unit. It took me all day to put it together... No, it didn't, not really. There should've been some little screws, so, while I went out to help with some other furballs, I bought some wood glue... that wasn't needed after all, as after hunting in Hubbies garage/workshop, I found some tiny screws and it all went together quite well.  My next job is to finish naming and labelling all the inks.

Now, I know I'm a very messy crafter...everything's piled up in a heap everywhere, but I do like my inks to be named AND  the lids put on the right way round, so you can see the ink name on the lid, it mustn't be put on upside down or sideways! Its time For T Stands For Tuesday!

 

Sorry, I nearly missed T for Tuesday! I've been very busy doing, stuff, and as you can see, I'm crafting in the kitchen again!  Can't put it away as it's (hopefully) a whole months worth of making #GelyPostcardsPlay, for Ceri The Crafters challenge!  Last week, I don't think I was here, as I was house/dog, sitting but I did take a picture of my Icecream soda, and treble chocolate cookie. I had to have some, as the icecream was beginning to melt! 

They've got a really posh kettle with toaster to match!

I also had to pop into their neighbours house to feed their cat. She was very friendly, and  her name was Maud. Could've done with a brush though! Think I may have told you that.

It was really hot last week, I did nip home to water my flowers

T for Tuesday...just a little late

 Hello! I'm  Late T for Tuesday, (join in over on alteredbooklover) including last week as well... aw well, never mind. I'm not here, I'm somewhere else, house/dog sitting, which is why I've been awol for ages and because last week was John's birthday week and I wasn't really in the right place to blog. So I booked a slot to take rubbish to the tip instead...oohooo... in the car- (John will be really moaning at me!) they still want me to pay if I use my van, even though I paid for 12 visits last year and only used one... meanies. So, once that was booked, I just did the garden. (The pots in the background had just arrived for Amazon) The weeds are still winning, after that, a bit of cutting and glueing, (with paper, not weeds) probably going to add that to my WOYWW post later.  I still managed to take photo's of my boring breakfast... including last weeks...waffle waffle....(fast forward if you like...) more waffle. So you're not going to get out of seeing that!

  AND!! I even have some from last week, coz I miss you all... I tried the Alpro Oat milk, as daughter came over and being Vegan, doesn't drink cows milk... Coudn't waste it, have tried it before but went back to 'normal' milk, but tried it on my Shreddies, and it wasn't half bad!

I love those little Tea for One teapots, and if I see one in a charity shop, I usually buy it... This one was as cheap as chips... My cold drink today was Mixed Berries, nice. (It's still made from different teas. No sugar) 

The best icecream ever!

  Last night I made an icecream soda for pudding... icecream in a glass, topped up with that berry fizzy drink... yummy!! Of course, you're supposed to have vanilla icecream, and plain old lemonaid, but I didn't have any of that...

T stands for Tuesday With Nuts, Elderflower- Bargain of The Week...

  Mornings everyone. Happy T stands For Tuesday! I'm back home again, laptop all re-plugged in and believe or not, had just over four and a half hours sleep last night in my own bed, with no dogs sharing, just a huge Polo Polar Bear (but he's another story) which for me, since John passed, is brilliant! So from 5'clock-ish, I watched YouTube in bed for about an hour.  There's just toooo much to watch and I want to make it all! BuT! Must mow the lawns before it rains! My Boring Breakfast is a bit different this week, actually this top picture was taken last friday. Shredded Wheat with Honey and Nuts, plus added fruit... I was surprisingly surprised. It wasn't half bad! Better than no sugar porridge at any rate! Plus some cramberry Juice to drink. 

 Back from being away House/dog sitting over the weekend, this was todays breakfast and back to drinking the Elderflower and lemonaid, made from different teas. And, lookie see, no crafty mess in the background for once... Now,  My Bargain of the Week, has to be 'The Concise  British Flora in Colour', book. Bought form a Charity shop. 

 

As with the other flowery books I've found in charity shops, I'm not really ready to cut this up and turn it into tags, tabs and other crafty things yet. (trying to get my phone to spell emhemera for me, when I can't even say it proberly, was impossible!) I love the inside just as much! And the price, just 99p. Bargain!

It's Time For Tea On Tuesday...

 

 For once, I'm not that late for T stands for Tuesday! Although I might speak/type too soon...who knows what Blogger has in store for me this week...hmmmm. I am running around chasing my own tail...perhaps I mean, towel? W-well, my phone doesn't want to help with my spelling this morning... and I'm rubbish at it. A cure for that, is to restart it. Don't throw it into a bucket of water though, I have been tempted! Above, is the normal Boring Breakfast with Tea! With the usual bits of crafty stuff shoved back. The books on the right, are my bargain of the week. More on them later.

This week has seen  my son-inlaws birthday party. Emma came over and borrowed the BBQ and we managed to get it into the back of her car!   At the party I sliced and diced and cut and made the Pimms, which didn't last long!

Before the BBQ there were snacks....Dexter (7) told me he made the vegan cup cakes. And they were (surprisingly) yummy!

Tom loves to do marathons, running, swimming, cycling and lastly that Muddy Race, getting covered in as much mud as you can...before getting past the finishing line. So this is what his cake was all about! 

After the BBQ they cut into the Cake! Chocolate sponge inside. Shame to cut into it really! Now back to the books and my bargain of the week. 99p each from a Charity shop. One, made to look like aunty's cook book and the other, all about Wild Flowers...

The cook book looks tatty and old...but it's not. All hand written inside with notes, postcards and magazine recipes suck into it with yellowing tape. All just an illusion!  Even the cover.

I don't think I'll ever be able to cut into this! It's already, someones 'scrap book'

None of these  stuck ins are stuck ins! I might even try some of the recipes!

As for the wild flower book, it has places to write your notes. It's never been used and  it's not like the others I have, so, to begining with, I'll just love it and maybe slice it up at a later date...(2051)

And-what is on my work top this Wednesday? No! Its T for Tuesday!

 I've been very busy this week... so,  of course I've lost days again. Had dogs to stay while their family had an urgent visit somewhere. I'd washed all the towels, blankets etc and put them out to dry and the line broke... again! Shhish! I'll backdate this post otherwise I'll confuse you, or me! For T stands for Tuesday, I usually show my boring breakfast... but my blender for my whizzed up friut juice suddenly stopped. So I ordered another one... They texted me saying they were out of stock and they'd send me another one, the same, no!  Told me it was a three in one, no! Told me it was the same price, again, NO! lies all round. So I've asked for some change... quiet a bit of change actually... Pigs will fly over a frozen Hell before I hear from them again! *

   And!! changing the subject, I found out, after the car had been in for it's MOT and service, there was this little sign on the dash board, like a clock, a lollipop and a number. I thought it may have something to do with speed... but no, I could still go as fast as I wanted ...until... I got onto the faster roads and it would NOT budge above 40mph... you should've seen the queue I had behind me! I stopped in a car park, panicked then, played with the dials and levers, very scared I would make it worse... like, not being able to drive back over 5mph... but, it worked. Phew. So, I'm afraid, yesterday, the real Tuesday was spent playing with crafty stuff (to calm me down)... more on that in Wednesday's WOYWW post... (that will be late too) So, about the above breakfast picture.Todays breakfast is with a new tea drink, Elderflower and Lemon. It comes in a bottle and not a tin.  Definitely my favourite.  Not poridge, but Crunchy Nut CornFlakes plus fruit... also a favourite... plus, coz I needed a smiley face, later, I made a loverly cappuccino with cream and a dusting of chocolate, served with a couple of chocolate chip cookies.(Don't tell the diabetic nurse) That's it for now! Time For T on Tuesday. My Whizzer's Broken

 It's Tuesday, so I'm popping over to join in with Altered Book's T is for Tuesday. Above is Lola. She's staying with me at the moment and is stopping me doing any crafting! Above she's sitting on the Proffessor's lap as I spent the morning keeping him and his two dogs company while Mrs Proff was out.  I made us coffee and toasted two hot cross buns for our elevenies. As you can see  all Lola wants is Cuddles and to chase any cats that come into the  garden, or go for short walks or shopping in the doggy pram or visiting anyone. It's about all I can do! No Crafting allowed!

Oh yes...and filling her bowl with chicken, she loves chicken. My breakfast was a disaster this week, as the engine part of my fruit whizzer just sopped. It hums but longer whizzies!

Here it is...broken. Now in the other cupboard hidden in the darkest corner is a monster of a machine that John used a lot.. and it has an attachment jug.

Even that jug weighs a ton. I put the fruit in...with a bit of water.... and turned it on. It has 10 speeds and a palse...

Here it is, all moooshed up, but not as smooth as the other smaller lighter smoothie jug....(and some of the water leaked out from the bottom!)

So I took the old base into town (Lola came too) and visited all the shops I expected to find something simular... did I heck? No... "Oh, these are not really being made anymore..." or "You could try on line..." There was one, that had the grinder and the jug.... but no smoothy jug.... or a smoothy on its own. Now, if I were John, I'd take it to bits and mend it! So, after all that, Debbie my sil. sent me some online links and I did find some too (lord knows who they are) that had just what I wanted for over £110! (they weren't even half that new!)Then, the next add had the same for £49.... but who are these strange people? I'll try Debs links...later. But first...here's pictures of the Professors dogs.

   They were both resued all the way from somewhere near Greece.

 

  At the end of the day...I was totally wacked out. (Debs said I looked tired, I think she meant, old) So I got out my Harry Potter mug and had some Hot Chocolate!
