It's A Guy Thing, Brother!

Thought I'd make a Guy card after all the girlie cards I made over the weekend! This is Mr Fix it, he's in my Didi Digi store coz he's mine! Not so cute. In fact, I probably wouldn't want to meet a giant rabbit in a dark alley carrying that spanner or the hammer!!
I've mainly done this card because of an email I had over the weekend, to do a male card and use the colours seen...to add the code I've been given and then well, just see what happens I guess! The brads are all from Woodware, screws, hammer, spanner, saw, scissors and the 'Brothers' cider tops are from Brother's Drinks, and seeing I know one of the four brother's family very well, I kind of have a few of their bottle tops!! (Cider's pretty good too!) Have you seen their TV ad?? Here tis.
I've coloured Mr Fix It with Promakers and also done a bit of dry embossing, tearing and inking. He also comes without the 'Mr Fix It ' on his pocket, just so he can be flipped (other wise it would read backwards wouldn't it!) Okay....let's press the button and see what happens...probably blow my computer up! Did you see the end of Lost?? Was it really rubbish?? (Linxwithin Challenge details have now been removed)

ATC's Swap. Inventions.

A few more ATC's. These go under the heading 'Inventions'. I thought of rockets ships and telescopes for some reason. Now all I have to do, is remember where they have to go!
They nearly went off instead of those Teddy 'Love' ATC's in the post below! I think they still need something else...a bit of bronze, silver or gold embossing maybe? Only the heat will probably make them curl up, so maybe not!
Most of the images I found on the Internet. The stamp has James Watt's steam engine on it, which I found while rummaging in one of my small craft boxes full of old stamps. See, it pays never to throw any thing away!
Some of the other scribbles you can see are by Leonardo Da Vinci who wasn't just a famous artist but an incredible inventor as well, coming up with stuff way before his time. Did you know he used to write backwards in rude characters with his left hand so no one could understand what he'd written? Some of his inventions were the Armoured car, the eight barrelled machine gun and the Ornithopter flying machine! All that from making a few ATC's...what ever next!
Oh look we've lost a follower and gained one!! ((I've had to turn off the Anonymous thingy to stop the spam!!)) Sorry to the follower with no link, no picture and no name... it was nice having you these last few months (I wonder who they were?) Anyway!! Hello and welcome to Fairy454!! no link on the pic but that's what we have Google for!! Pop over to Fairypixeler and say Hi!
I did promise a sneak peek of tomorrows DT card, didn't I? Ah well it's late...my bed is calling to me... or something is... so that'll have to wait til the morning! Night night!

Quirky Men Challenge!

Oh no! Look at the time!! It's nearly tomorrow! Oh well, never mind! (Thank goodness blogger is behind!) Here is my DT Card for The Quirky Forum Challenge. Did you guess? Course you did!
“Masculine Theme”
This card went off to my Uncle Frank. Hope he liked it! What did I use? Ah, you'll be glad to know all the papers were freebies! The little scissor brad is by Woodware and so are the screw brads. The other little button ladder, screw driver and paint pot I bought from a market some time ago and of course the clear stamped image is from the Bubble and Squeak range, but I've forgotten which one this is, as I'm still dog sitting! (I'll add it in later) He's been coloured with ProMaker pens and stamped onto a rectangle cut using my Nestabilites (and my Bigshot) YouTube Video for colouring with ProMakers Here
The spanner paper is from MadAboutCards. Look out for their other papers if you haven't all ready found them (I know all you oldies will have them but some of you newbies might not!) The brown checked or gingham paper you should have if you've found my links before. Click here for the website and here for the pastel gingham papers (link on my side bar too) and HERE for the dark gingham papers. And the font??Oh pooh I can't remember what that was... It's times like this, when I wish I didn't have sooo many fonts! But you've gotta have 'em! haven't you!
I'll pop back later and let you know! (Meanwhile, there's a link on my side bar to some freebie hand written type fonts!) I've found it...it's one I used not long ago, so you should have it. It's called Big Log and you'll find the free download HERE
What else? I coloured the little bear with my ProMakers, (you've said that!) and everything was fixed on either with 3D foam pads, photo or silicon glue! Back tomorrow...I mean later today. (Or maybe not!) Oh and we haven't a new follower, just me!! I found out I can email people easier if I followed myself...well, I usually meet myself getting up most days anyway! Thanks for stopping by!

Ben 10 Printed on Photo Satin Paper.

What paper do you use for your card making? Do you print straight on to card? Do you buy that really thin stuff that sucks up all your ink but still doesn't give you a nice crisp image? I had an email last week, luckily my spammer didn't chew it up and eat it! It was from a paper company. PhotoPaper Direct (sorry links now closed)

(Ohoo) I've had emails before, asking, 'would I like to advertise our Chinese laundry, or would I advertise their adventure holidays in Baghdad and another one from a travel agent in Singapore... Most don't get through but the ones that do I usually ponder over for a few seconds, let the little grey brain cells spin for a minute or two and then press the red button and the email vanishes for ever. But Paper? Card? That's like the carrot to the donkey, the peanut to the monkey~ the cheese to the mouse!! The sugar frosting on the cherry on the chocolate cake!!! If you could see the state of my Craft room right now, you'd say I had a serious paper addiction! So, this lovely paper company sent me some lovely samples. Right thought me. Let's put this paper to the test! I've made a couple of Ben 10's. My very first waterfall card and another shaker card. This is Ben 10. (Link to him on my sidebar) And he has been printed on this super smooth (hang on a mo, just get the guy who advertises the movies to say it in his very deep voice..)
"Instant Dry Photo Satin Double Sided Paper 120gsm Brochure paper.." (show off!) So it's brilliant for anything you want to print. I have tried buying this before. I've asked the puzzled assistant (as he's backed away from the counter) that I don't want the paper I want the paper the paper is wrapped in. So I've printed out Ben 10 on this Satin Paper, love it! (How'd you like my screw-like brads, huh?) And you can print on both sides with no fear of the darker colour coming through and... see the Ben 10 sign in the corner? That was white. I coloured it using my green ProMaker Pen and there was no bleed through and, I've even decoupaged Ben to make him stand out a bit more. So where is this Paper Company? Timbuktu? No! And, at the moment they have a BIG sale on and not just on paper. They do all sorts, apart from Photo Paper, Fine Art Paper, and Inks, there's Transfer paper, for printing onto Tshirts and other clothing. Magnetic paper. I've got some of that! Plug in Digital Memory storage thingamajigs, and with my small brain, I could definitely do with some of that! I also have some smooth pre-folded card and when I've finished playing, I'll let you see what I've done.
Right, tomorrow I'll either put on the Waterfall Card or another Ben 10 or a Tinker 'Paws for Thought' which I downloaded from the Tinker Shop. They've all been printed on this Satin paper! You choose...here's a peek...
