T Stands For....Tuesday and Not Cookies

 Happy T For Tuesday. Pop over to Altered Book Lover and find out why. Busy week for me, well...not busy busy just 'stuff that takes an age to do but has to be done,' busy. My craft room picture this week is...no...they aren't chocolate cookies... they'd be gone if they were! They're clay Gingerbred men... A little bit more orange paint mixed with the brown me thinks! Hopefully I will finish them off later today... (hmm, I'm kidding!) 

Those are accompanied by my latest Charity shop buy, a gingerbread man mug. Had to have it. 

Then I ran out of magazine holders to put my magazines in. Hubby was just about to crush a really nice chucky box his walking boots came in. "Hang on! No! That looks useful!'  His eyes rolled. "Thought I could get it out into the recycle bin before you noticed it!" (Really? I'm right on top of that Rose!*) So, after a bit of cutting and sticking down of paper and lots of glue, it now holds a few crafty magazines!  (going to add a lable tag later)

Picture. Early morning on the beach. Remembering when I was a dog walker and got up at silly o' clock every day in all weathers. I do miss it! And below, a park I used to visit with the dogs three of four times a week. Now, we often just wonder round for our 'daily exercise' with no dogs.

Our post box was feeling a little bit chilly this week! Someone had been very busy!

Meanwhile, Hubby put the old garage door to good use...  He grinded off the rust, bashed out the dents, welded up other bits, added wheels so it can fold right back and painted it (to match the carport now with wooden bi-fold doors) which he built in the 'real' lockdown. Now he has more covered space to play with his bikes! (No...I'm not saying anything...)

Halloween garden across from us... terrible terrific fun! This was last year... this years garden was even better, more bones and skulls and chains with sound effects; shame my photos were too dark.

Last Picture... Jinx had to have another visit to the Vets this week. More meds... but it doesn't stop him waking me up! 'Where's my Breakfast?' Hope you're having a Terrific Tuesday. Hallowe'en ATC's for CM&PC Swap.

My last month's ATC swap over on the Card Making & Paper Craft Forum just had to be Halloween, or Autumn (for those who didn't do Halloween) and these are my little lot. If you missed the swaps made by other forum members Click here.

I already had one left over from last year so decided to make a few more on the same lines. Then (at last) my mojo started coming back and I ended up making nine, so ten all together.
So I have a few left over ready for next year now! I've used a mixture of paper scraps. Pink Petticoat papers on the backgrounds on the two sets above. Everything else came from Scrapbooking Mad Hocus Pocus Halloween 1 and 2 and Fright Night, and the mad looking green spiders papers came from Free Digital Scrap Booking, (Link's been on my side bar for yonks for these fab freebies!) most of the papers have been made a lot smaller of course (SBM have a sale at the moment!) The bat was punched out with my M.S. bat corner punch. I've also used my M.S. spider-web punch too.

With these ATC's, I had a play in 'My Craft Studio' (just the freebie CD that came with a magazine earlier on in the year) and made a couple of digital ACT's. I like the fact there's no white box around the witch, (Bugaboo) and you can move her over any back ground you chose, and shrink everything to any size, then just print. No cutting round those fiddly bits! A lesson I must learn for my own digi's. I have done it, then completely forgot how I did it! (very small brain!) I coloured the witch and her cat with ProMarkers. The bat backing paper was a freebie from the Crafter's Companion. Every month I get sent a link to some lovely freebies, so well worth signing up for their Newsletter !
I still have a few ATC's left over, so I'm nice and early for next year! Any guesses at 'witch' one was last years ATC? (Clue: it has the FDS freebie green spiders on it)

Scaredy Cat!

I just had to pop this little spooky card in quick, as I noticed Penny has a Halloween Challenge, over on Penny's Challenge Blog. I thought I would put in something I'd already done, I have an old Halloween favourite one of the first cards I ever made using backing papers, which I think I've put in most forums galleries but never in a blog challenge, but I'm glad I decided to make a new one! This was soooo much fun to do.

Thank you Angela (she of multi challenges!!) for letting me know about Kaboodles Spooky Challenge I'll pop Scaredy Cat in there too! Hope I'm not too late! Also, in Passion For ProMarkers Challenge this week, you can use any colour, which is great as I don't have many! And they also want to see and animal! So I'm going to pop Scaredy Cat over there as well!
I've just popped over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and guess what!!! It's Halloween!! And, after a blog hop I found Polka Doodles who also have a Halloween Challenge! Haha!!! I've found another one!! Over on Cats Corner Challenge 12 is a Halloween card, with a cat!! (I think!) Crumbs I've never done so many Challenges in one go..!(Watch This space! I might add a few more!)
Is my mojo coming back?? I think so! It was the Fox's Chunkie Extremely Chocolatey Chocolate Chip Cookies that tempted it back... (My favourite Bisqwit!!!) I told it, "Mojo, make a card and then you can have a chocolate cookie..." I know it's a little bit the same as the last two cards I've done in design, but if I don't mention it," sez me whispering. "I don't think anyone will notice!

Happy Hauntings ATC's

Oh it's sooooo good to be back! Sorry it's taking me ages to get into the swing of blogging again, as I'm soooo behind with everything I'm never sure where to start!! First thing I think, is to go on a blog hop and visit all of you!! ((Try not typing so much, no body reads it! Just scroll down to the bottom where it says Freebie font! And Freebie Papers))
My Laptop is still Jet-lagged and keeps going off line for some reason, so I hope I can get this done before it falls to sleep! Just before we left John took everything off my hard drive and put it onto my add-on hard drive so, of course, I can't find anything!
I'm waaaay behind with swaps and forum birthdays cards, (sorry!) but if you're on my list you should have your birthday card very soon, probably in time for next year!! (No change there then!!)

There's nothing like a good scare is there! And these ATC's are nothing like a good scare! (Well, I tried my best!) I started them just before I went away and then finished them over the weekend and today, for a forum swap, or was it a competition? I've forgotten now, and anyway, I'm too late now. Never mind! I think there was supposed to be four but I've done five. (Actually, I've done more than that but I didn't like the others!) They won't be wasted, The Quirky Forum are having an Autumn or Halloween Challenge this week, which I missed because I wasn't here, so I'll pop one of these over there later, don't forget to pop over and enter anything spooky or Autumny that you've made, you might win a prize! And Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog also has a Halloween theme going on too, so I might pop over there later!
I've used a mixture of PinkPetticoat papers from last year (They have some new spooky papers for this year) and a download from Scrap Booking Mad, They have single downloads from about 20p and I think Hocus Pocus was only about £1.20. Look out for their freebies while you're there!
New Added Bit!! The green spider and the purple Boo! background paper are from two sets of Halloween papers called Spooks and Boo from Free Dital Scrapbooking. If you haven't already found this site on my side bar, go take a look! Lots of lovely freebies to downloan!
I've printed some of the papers out in the normal size and others really small so they fitted onto the ATC. (Artist Trading Cards. They are about the size of a playing card and are made only for swapping! and showing off your talent!)
The haunted houses are normally a lot bigger. I've added a bit of Sticklers Glitter to give them a bit of bling and some of the writing has been covered with Sticky-back-plastic to give it a bit of shine.
While we were over in the States visiting Maria, Jesse and new baby grandson Mason, we noticed a lot of the houses over there are made of wood. Actually, where Maria lives in Monroe, they all were! And many of them looked like these haunted houses! It's a bit like driving into an Old Western, only in a car and not on a horse! Nearly every home was decorated with lights, cobwebs, witches, tomb stones and pumpkins. One was completely covered in black shredded bin liners, or maybe they were just trying to gift wrap it!! They can move their houses! We came across a whole town that was being 'moved' as the soil had been contaminated by a train derailment. So one by one the homes were moved back, the soil, cleaned and then the homes, even the hotel, put back! (Only in America!) Halloween is a big market out there. You can buy anything from radio controlled flying bats to Y-fronts! (They were scary!!)
Of course i bought some papers and something that's been on my wish list for the last eigthteen months, some Martha Stewart Punches. The Cobweb, which I've used on 'Spoooooky" (the corner and the edging) A lace punch and a fine fern leaf, which worked out about £6 or £7 each that I didn't think was too bad! The Woodware type punches though, I thought, were a lot dearer.
Another bargin I bought back was 60 12x12 'My Minds Eye' scrap book papers, which were priced just under $25 but were in a sale for well under five English pounds, so I had to have them!

Halloween Y Fronts

I just had to take a picture of these Halloween Y fronts and pants. Only in America! They really do go completely mad about Halloween. Well....I couldn't resist and bought myself a pair of...scary spider sox! ha-ha, you thought I was going to say pants, didn't you!

Secret Crafter: Saturday Challenge #29

As soon as I saw this challenge for 'shaped' cards over on the Secret Crafter, I wondered, are any of my cards shaped enough? I quite often cut lumps off the side, 1, to make sure they fit into the envelope after I've added a couple of flowers and 2, to cover up any mistakes, but we won't talk about those! This card was made for a late October Birthday, so I thought orange and red, sort of Autumn colours with a hint of 'witchery' would be perfect for Eloise's fourteenth birthday. I've replaced what I've cut off the card with acetate, so that the orange and red peel-off dots would appear as though they were floating, and look as if the Fairy Witch had cast a spell! The spiders around the card were saved from a fancy dress party, where I went as Grot Bag, green face, black teeth and worts...thankfully, there are no photo's of that!!

Bit early for Halloween...

I think I must have a 'thing' for spiders, skulls and all things that go bump in the night! But when I saw this challenge over on Pink Petticoat, I couldn't think of anything but making these little sour cream cartons into something to put a 'trick or treat' in.
I didn't expect to find dragons teeth or frozen eye-balls at this time of year, but am I wrong to say, whatever happen to BlackJacks? I did find some but have they got smaller...or has my hand just got a lot bigger!
The Spider and the ghost you can see dangling on acetate from the card at the back of the picture are from your 'ClipArt' on your computer. These were printed on to glossy photo paper. They can be made smaller, or if you feel brave...bigger!! The papers are of course all from Pink Petticoat.

Spyder's Corner

Friday 13th....I got through the day without losing anything, (unless you count an earring) or spilling anything, (unless you count the petrol hose burping petrol everywhere) or burning anything (unless you count turning the top oven on instead of the main oven....the grill handle sort of went wonky) or... with even being abducted by aliens. It was quite disappointing really!
I made this card using Pink Petticoat Halloween papers and images all available as a download....
Well, that was short and sweet...don't really want to tempt fate seeing it's Friday the 13th so...time for coffee and a chocolate biscweet! yum!
