Cards made By Emma

Over the last couple of weekends my crafty mess, I mean, room, has been invaded by mischievous elves, aka, Tom and Emma (s-i-l and daughter) making their Christmas Cards. So I took a few pictures. Emma likes her card's nice and simple and cute. (adding backing paper is very rare) Tom is still finishing his off. Here bought a fireplace stamp from Ebay and is still busy cutting them all out. It's a master project! So here's some of Emma's finished Christmas cards...
Penguins and Little Santa's on Hammered deckle edged cards

Little Penguins on little cards...

...and more little Santa's on Purple Papermania cards. The backing papers used here came from a 'Christmas Paper Pack' (6x6 100 sheets) by Crafts-Too and Woodware punches cut out the oval shapes and the tiny snowflakes.

Toby's Terrible Card

"Quick mum, make a card for Toby." Who's Toby? For some reason I think Toby's about two...it turns out he's 36. So all thoughts of Thomas the Tank Engine suddenly disappear from my mind. "What's he in to? Cars? Bikes?" I skim through all my folders of backing paper Mad About Cards have freedowns, BBQ's, Count Down (The TV Show) Spanners, beer glasses, little boats, sheep with hats, ducks. "He's not really into anything, just a card with happy birthday on it..." "But that's boring," I say "That's okay, just do simple."
I find some paper in my ScrapGirls folder, with happy birthday all over it~it wasn't the one I was looking for but never mind. Add a bit of wiggly cord. Punch out the words Happy Birthday and stick it on with 3D foam pad. "It's boring!" I say. "It needs some thing else, "OK" says Tom (Son-in-law) "How about a tiger?" "Oh, yeah~I can find a tiger" sez me, "No!" says Emma, (Daughter) "an elephant would be better."..."Okay." sez me.
You see, I can never quite 'get' sarcasm, it goes waaay over my head.."Or a cow..."... "An aardvark!"... "Or a yak, yes a yak!" ...It's at this point I get the point and Toby gets a tortoise on his card...sorry Toby...my worse card ever...so let's quickly move on!!!
