It's a Magnam...or two...

Afternoon bloggers! Here's Magnum...isn't he cute? I won him! Yay! And where I won him (Ladybugs) are having a challenge, which I hope I'm not too late for. (No I'm not!)
You might have spotted Magnum and Lilly his mouse friend, half way through being coloured on my WOYWW post yesterday, with odd bits of paper stuck over another sheet of paper.
Here he is finished. I've done a bit of paper piecing where you print or stamp your image over some backing paper and then cut out bits to piece over the image...
There's quite a lot of layers, and some cheats too! The topper has, the red, the first digi, then the added papered chair, then another Promarkered Magnum and then the TV, but the legs of the TV are the legs from the first digi...yes, I'm confused too!
Counting them all there's about nine! but they are all stuck down to look like one image.
I used scraps of paper ... first, print what you want on to plain paper/card and then, stick (I used a smidge of photo glue, coz it peels off easy) some scraps over the image, print it again and those bits of scrap paper will then have the image printed on them too, ready to be cut out.
Here you can see I've paper pieced the arm chair with some small flowery papers by Pink Petticoat and in side, I've paper pieced the cake case.
All the papers are Pink Petticoat...I'm still using up my 'bits' and most of my bits are PP.
The red edging you can see is red Promarker edged around some paper/card but inside it's red pen.
Magnum, Lilly and the TV have been coloured with Promarkers. The Bakers twine was a freebie from PaperCraft Inspiration Magazine this month...
The sentiment was done on the computer. There was a comma after 'take the best chair' but John, (hubby) kept reading it as 'Take the best chain' So I've scribbled over it with a white gel pen...(but have since inked it in with a pen) think he needs new reading glasses! (Click photos to make them bigger)
The Font is a freebie it's called Idolwild download it HERE or just Google the name. New Follower! Hi and a Big wave to Tracy Jensen, who's loves knitting and rabbits I think!! Angora knits
That's it! Tomorrow I'll show you the new Freebie from Bugaboo, hope you've picked up this weeks. Thanks for stopping by! If I'm not too late I'd love to add this to some...

Life's A Beach!

Hi Guys! Been trying to get this card finished for a sketch challenge on FaceBook and also add it to Bugaboo's 'All About Seasons' challenge too! Very sorry to those of you who following by email... I'll have to edit this post quite a bit later!!
I'll be back to tell you where to find the freebie font, add more pictures, show you how I made it, (show you a picture anyway...) and to add more challenges, if they are still going on.
Blogger's being very slow this afternoon, I'll be here 'til next Christmas at this rate and I want to get out into the SUN!!! It's that BIG yellow thing out there in the BLUE sky (It won't last) See you later!
**Part Two!! Evening! As I said above, this card was mainly for Chocolate, Coffee and Cards FaceBook Challenge, to use their sketch and to add red. Weeeellll... I used carmine, which is red but slightly a pinker red, but with another twist, it's all done with a Promarker, as you can see by the picture below. I've not used red or black card at all, just edged it with the Promarker. Even so, there's a lot of layers, mostly put together using silicon glue.
I've also 3D-ed the Bugaboo Monkey, by cutting off one of his arms, his tail and his ears! (I'm soooo mean!) and given him my own sea-side background.
The brad, from my stash, has a sun face... might be the only one we get to see this summer, more rain is promised for the rest of the week!! (I'll be growing webbed feet at this rate!!)
All the backing papers are off-cuts from my Pink Petticoat bits and pieces folder. (Throw Nothing away-give nothing back yo-ho-ho me hearties yo-ho-ho!)
The swirly paper has been embossed with a Cuttlebug Heart folder (To go with the heart on the monkeys bum and the tiny hearts on the lighter paper) I've also used my crab punch and for the first time ever, the tiny little dolphin punch. (I must have had that five years or more!)
Then just to add a bit of interest in the other corners, I've add a few tiny gems, fixed on using my Quickie Glue Pen.
To finish off I did a bit mock stitching. Even the red (carmine) ribbon loops are made of paper and coloured with a Promarker.
The font is a freebie. It's called, very appropriately, Janda Silly Monkey (Y'see I don't just throw these posts together, they are carefully planned... and if you believe that you're a monkey's uncle....) by Kimberly Geswein and yes! there is a monkey!!! I love the monkey! (see the monkey inside the card...don't strain your glass eye, make the picture bigger!) You can download the font HERE (other sites are available!)
New Follower! Hi and a big ((WAVE)) to Cheryl, who hasn't a link... yet! That's it for now. Thank you for stopping by!

101 years old & Winnie Wanted A Westie

Just over a year ago mum asked me to make a 100 today birthday card for a dear friend, Winnie. I think I blogged about what was going on a hundred years ago last year, and, one year on, Winnie is 101 years young today! Of course, mum came round yesterday to see if I'd made her card and I said, "Ummm....isn't that next week?" Same story as last year. Last year I made a Forever Friends card (which won me my first two prizes!!) but this year mum had asked me to do a, 'not too fancy, simple card' but with a Westie dog on the front as Winnie used to have one many years ago called Sally. Easy. (Not)
Since my 'crooked' finger accident I've steered clear of 'real' drawings, and gone for cartoons, it doesn't matter too much if they go 'wonky'. They're supposed to be like that, right? I'm still doing a greyhound for Shell, but it keeps ending up with googley eyes, big feet and a rather long tongue! So, last night me and my crooked finger were determined to draw a little Westie and I think it's turned out not too bad. I'm quite pleased with it, and Sally will definitely be going into my Digi Store later today (soon as John gets home as he likes doing all that spiderwebby stuff)

I've used Pink Petticoat papers in duck egg blue on a pink pearl card, Martha Stewart punches (Woodware punches inside) and lots of Stickles glitter, oh and my new Distress Ink , tumble glass, for the shading behind Sally and edged the backing paper with it too.
The font is a freebie, mine is called Round Hand DB. I've found Signet Round Hand, which looks the same and you can download it HERE
Welcome (((wave)) and Hi!! to new follower Margreet who's also a new member of the OSAAT's Design Team! So pop over and see some of her lovely cards.
There is one thing wrong with Sally. Have you spotted it? The real Sally would've had a docked tail. Something that has happened in the last hundred and one years to add to the good list!

It's Blooming Time For OSAAT's New Challenge

It's that time again! (and I'm beginning to think there's only two days in a week. Wednesday and Sunday! Where does the week go?

One Stitch At A Time's
new
Challenge
has started over on the blog.
Did you guess at my sneaky wolfer's last night?? It was a bit too easy, wasn't it.
The Challenge this week is...

Flowers!

So let's see everything you have with flowers on it. (even granny's tea-cozy, if she knitted it herself and has a blog!) So hop over to the Challenge blog and see who Mr Linky picked...and who were our top three. There were some really amazing cards and you never know it might be you!! If it is, don't forget to grab your blinkies.
I've used one of Lexi's Creations lovely images. Her name is Tessie Turtle if you click the link you'll find where she's hiding in the Stitchy Bear's shop, along with loads of her friends, and I've also used the sketch from Midnight Madness (although you'd never guess!!) Promarkers to colour and all the flowery papers are Pink Petticoat. The flowers are from Daisy Doodles, the pearl studded brads are from my stash and have a sequin behind them. The gems are PaperMania. I did the sentiment on the Computer. (You're The One For Me) The font is a freebie and is called BlackJack, one I've used before but if you missed it you can download it HERE
I'm not here, so this will magically appear some time on or before or even after the stroke of twelve noon!

I'm back, visitors arriving any second and you all know what my dinning table looks like!! I think it's 'shove everything in a very large box and hide it somewhere' time!

Free Font and Free Think Pink PinkPetticoat Papers

Just a quickie to nite. (My Mum's computer's doing weird things and we've been sorting it out! I think it's been 'talking' to my wacky camera!) So, back to yesterday's Blog Winners Card. The free font is called zodiatic. This font isn't widely available, but you still might have it, but if not you can down load it here.
This link takes you to 'Z' so you will have to scroll down a bit. This is o
ne of my favourite sites for free fonts as you can see just what they look like and there are thousands of them!! (You'll be there all night!) Once again it has been typed out in WordArt on the card so I could use two colours. It's a very small font, so you'll have to have the font size at around 30 to look like the normal 12. And once again I've used a mixture of Pink Petticoat Papers. There's a new kit called Think Pink, which is available as a Freebie on the Pink Petticoat Blog, but just in case you missed it, you can go here to download it!
Big (((wave))Welcome to new follower Fe-Fe who everyone must know! She does so much on forums and blogs! Pop over to Fe-Fe's World of Craft, Creatio
ns and Kids for loads of inspirations and also her lovely take on this weeks Quirky Crafts Challenge, Board Games!
Thank you for stopping by!
