What's OnYour Worktop ...um Ironing board Wednesday?! #738, WOYWW,

Well, there is some ironing that needs doing, but that's on the floor, meanwhile...I'm still in sorting out mode. So this is my work space this Wednesday for WOYWW?! I'm sorting out papers, there's a sheet that I've printed out on one of my coffee stained papers. I think it's come out really nice in a 'not too grungy way'. There's a few new diecuts that need a home. I like to get them on to a magnet a.s.a.p., coz I know I'll lose those little tiny bits! Also on the ironing board is some Tim Holts papers and my first ever Journal, which you've seen bits of. I was hoping to film the inside instead of just taking pictures but thanks to DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) I've been in tears most of the day as they are going to fine me! (Or even lock me up) So...this first bit was typed out 7 o'clock this morning...this next bit is hours later...

I had a letter this morning saying I was being fined, 'pay now to settle it out of court' because one of John's bikes, the GL 650 Silverwing, is not insured. I managed to get it MOTed, had to wait ages for what is called the V5c because I couldn't find the original one anywhere. (Had to pay for a new one) Then at that very moment of me picking up the phone, Francis, (my Airedale man who I've known for years) arrived to put the other little blue bike's battery on charge, as that is up for sale.  What's sooooo frustrating, I've told the DVLA sooo many times, the bike is on private land, I can't move, or get on it, let alone ride it!

Anyway I got on the phone and as far as I know, it's been sorted. (But I was blubbering quite a bit) The bike is now SORN....when I first heard that term, I thought someone would turn up to saw it up into scrap!  Silly me. What's sooo maddening though, the bike, in just a few weeks, will not need any of this because it will be classed as an Hysterical Vintage Vehicle.. (OOps! I've just asked my phone to help with the spelling, it often does.....I think it should be Historical Vintage Vehicle...!) So tonight, I have to fill in a form asking them not to fine me, and write a letter explaining my situation, (which I've already done three times!) I was actually told by one of their people months ago, the bike would be okay as it is.

A picture to finish. Eldest Daughter is away with family and other grandparents to Iceland. One of Tom's brothers lives there and Tom's been posting pictures of the Rumbling Volcano!

Bit scarrrry if you ask me! Well, that's it for now...I wonder if that link to Stamping Ground is still working? Let's see! YES!! Thanks for stopping by!

Time For Tea Tuesday, Green Bag Day and Happy Mail Day!

I think Last Weeks T Stands for Tuesday's 10th anniversary went very well! (And no one noticed that one of Jo's ATC swaps she sent me  was a bit warped and slightly nibbled by a snail after being left out all night, so I won't mention it. I also sent off a few more last week via snail mail so hoping for some happy mail probaly by this time next week! The lady at the post office was very mean and wouldn't put nice pretty stamps on the envelope and said it had to have a lable. Dah! Anyway! Above is my half eaten breakfast this morning. Bit Boring but pushed back in a heap behind it you can just spy some Tim Holtz papers that I'm using to make a small journal with. It's not quite finished yet so I'll show it off when it is.

Tuesday is green bag day, every two weeks, (or not) they come and collect our garden waste. In spite of all the weeding (Oh my aching back!) and cutting and up rooting) they aren't quite full!  So out with the clippers and the hedge behind had a bit of a hair cut. Looks so much better now.
My 'I'm in the Garden' sign, could do with a bit of a paint. And I'm beginning to think my rainbow window needs to come down...
After having a nag about the post, some happy mail arrived from Jo! (I was up a ladder trying to fix the senor light that won't go off!) All the way from the USA. That was quick! Even the postman said, "That iz pretty envelope, all zee way from America."
A spiderweb ATC...a card, a little sewn shapy thingy, some die-cuts, a sentiment and some lovely stamps on the envelope! Thank you Jo!
That's it from me, don't forget last weeks freebie will be gone by tomorrow. (Mouses Mushroom) I'm off to put a squirt of Deep Heat in my back and have a cup of coffee! (and a choccy biscuit!) Then I'll do a bit of finishing off that journal and will add links so you can make one too! Happy T Day!! Thank you for stopping by!

This Weeks Wednesday Freebie. Just! CLOSED

I bet you thought there wasn't going to be a freebie this week...me too! I've done another Mushroom...well it could be a toadstool, but seeing I'm calling it 'Mouse's Mushroom', it's a mushroom!  Go HERE to download it without its watermark. No sharing please, just send people here, because the more times it's downloaded, the longer it stays. A comment would be lovely! Thank you for stopping by!

PS, if anyone would like it in png, just let me know!

 CLOSED

It's WOYWW time! #737-Mostly in the Kitchen.

Hello to all you Woywwers! It's Wednesday again and time, if we can,  Link up with Stamping Ground! (I can't add a link here either) Update!! Yes I can! Hope you are all fit and well. This week I've been crafting in the Kitchen making this wrap-a-round box from a cat food box. (the one I'm copying, was the box my phone came in, which I've decorated)

I've also been doing all sorts of stuff, nothing whatsoever to do with crafting (motor bikes, more bikes, electric bike, tools and things in the garage, mowing, mending, lights not working etc etc) although, the 'tidying' up of my craft room, is getting along just dandy! I've cleared it all out, I can see the floor and the bench is almost visable too...my bedroom, on the other hand - I can't get in the door! No matter... I can see the light at the end of the tunnel (There's a tunnel?) and as I said above... there's always the kitchen!

I was very pleased with how my wrap-a-round box turned out! Definitely going to make another one.

Yesterday was Elizabeth and Bleubeard's, from Altered Book Lovers 10th Aniversary, so have been over the last few weeks making my ATC's for the swap. I used playing cards for a couple...um...I was thinking of doing Alice in Wonderland with the Queen yelling 'Off With Her Head!'

But this one turned out to be a bit too bloody! Shanouki from 'Full Deck Challenge said, 'Turn  Yucky into Yummy' so, I had another go!

Here's a few more that I made for the swap, including the little 'folder pockets' to put them in.

I took these pictures out in the garden and the wind kept blowing them off the table...(which is why a couple of them were left outside over night and got nibbled by a snail) Here's one of the pocket folders. Some had two, three, four or even seven pockets! I loved making them and they are soooo easy.

The one  below has five pockets in all and I used velcro dots to close it, while the one above I used the JourNey lable mounted on card as a stopper

I've also been watching junk journal / Altered Art/ Mixed Media/Glue books etc Youtube vids so made my very first cover by covering a brown envelope in torn book pages (seen below) I then covered it with some tissue paper from W.H.Smith and Mod Podge and added stickers (I do love that 'world' tissue paper, I must look out for something different!)

Here's the torn pages...I used a glue stick to stick them to the brown envelope (and a little bit of collall glue too)

...and to end with....I found this a little bit naughty but quite funny! There really wasn't a need to add the M or the W, was there!

That's it! Have a great week. Happy WoYwW!? I should be able to link, if I use my phone, stand on my head, face west and turn off the WiFi! Thank you for stopping by!!

Ten Years Of T sTands For TueSday!

I made it! On the ten year anniversary of Bleubeard and Elizabeths Altered Book Lovers T stands for Tuesday. There was a big swap of ATc's, most have already gone off, I still have a few left, if anyone fancies one, let me know! My Partner for the swap, (lucky me!) was Jo from Lets Art Journal and this is what she sent me!

Then when you turn the folder over....

More lovely little works of art!

Jo used playing cards and teabags. Muggins here, tried T bags but they didn't turn out so good....perhaps I shoulda taken the tea out first!

I also had a go at using playing cards with a bit more success! But then went back to making the 'normal' ATC card.

Here are my Atc's, altered playing cards, tags, and pocket folders. I forgot to take a picture of the ones I sent to Jo, but they're in there somewhere! I bit of a mixture. There's only about three or maybe four altered playing cards...so that's when I attacked a tea bag...ummm, nothing you want to see! Honest! so then I went back to making the ATC's, 'normally''.

Here's the tags, they pop into the paper bag holder

And here's some of the pockets and Atc's I made...then went on and made quite a few  more...

Some had two pockets.... others three or four... one had six and I think I could've made one with 7!

Well, Elizabeth said to add the number TEN to our post, so I used my breakfast this morning!

Have a great week everyone!  I'd better go and link up, as I told Elizabeth at seven o'clock this morning (Monday) that this post would be done by midnight! Thank you to Jo from Lets Art Journal and Thank you to you for stopping by!

I just had to pop back and add this...

This weeks Forever Freebie.... and What I made with it!

I called this weeks freebie  (see below) "It's not all black and white...." and as you can see, it's not! I printed off a sheet, coloured it with the rainbow colours of Tim Holtz Distress Inks...gave it a bit of a splintz with water and then splattered some white paint and some gold  cosmic shimmer. Then sorted out a few die cuts  and added butterflies, lables and tiny gems.... not bad really! What will you do!? Or, what shall I do next!? Happy CrAfTiNg! Thanks for stopping by!

This Weeks Wednesday Freebie....forever!

Here's this weeks freebie...sorry it's late. (No change there!) I've decided it's going to be an always freebie, as I'm having trouble with getting my black ink, black! As the digis I've done and just printed off look a bit sickly in washi grey!

I've called it, "It's in the eyes-not all black & white with hidden numbers." (I might change that! You'll see why in the next post!) So, just click on the image and save to your  device! Show me what you do! A comment would be lovely!

This is what I made with it...

What's On Your Worktop (TV Table)Wednesday.... #735

Late again, at least I'm consistent. Happy WOYWW. I'm not rushing, coz I know I'll have to do backward flips to get linked into Stamping Ground and it takes ages! I was trying last night, and suddenly thought I'd left a light on in the bedroom...but it was the SUN shinning in through the window @ 5 o'clock.  I still can't show you my 'real' work top, it's still a mess of total confusion, and so is the floor. At least I can show you something that I started after a tree fell on me.

Let me quickly add, it was a Lawn Fawn tree I made probably a year ago... it needed a home, so, out came the pop up box thingy diecuts and I made a purple stage for it...just have to add a few little critters having a party and some small bunting I think.

Along side is another box I covered with tissue and Mod Plode, I mean Podge, to make a small container for my Lawn Fawn Dies and other small stamps and dies.  I sorted them out, put them on magnets, white side for stamps and magnetic black side for the dies. Just gotta find a place to put it now. The little name file thing on the front (what are they called?) is a bit rubbish because if you use them, they pull out....maybe a bit of hot glue would help. Well, that's it from me. Will try my best to visit. Happy WOYWW! But without the links its sometimes very hard to find you... Thank you for stopping by!

T stands for TUeSdAY....or nearenough!

AS always I'm late joining The T ParTy over on Bleubeard and Elizabeth's AlTered Book Lovers Blog...but I guess, beTTer laTe than never, or as my old MaThs Teacher used to say, BeTTer Never LaTe... Been quite busy doing stuff like....laying artificial grass over a crumbly path and ripping up old books I found whilst in the attic and the days and nights seem to drift into one long splodge of, nothingness. Above is my cold cup of TEA and some Mod Splodge and the ripped up pages. Might dip all those strips into some cold coffee later!
selfie of me and Lola at the party

I had Lola for the weekend. A few weeks back she was attached by....the vet said....a cat. She was left completely paralysed in both back legs. Lola...she was a showgirl. With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down- I'll stop there, you know the song. Anyway, as soon as I saw her, I said straight away, that I thought she'd most likely been grabbed and then dropped by a big bird, because there were no scratches to her anywhere except a large claw  gouge in her side and like pin holes further down, and  I mean, a cat couldn't leave a dog  paralysed, even if it was bigger than her!

Grass. 😱It looks better than it did.

At one point the vet suggested amputating the worse leg😡 and even having her put down. No! 😱 I think I may have said this before... I'll come back to it in a minute...

Views of Party...Lots of food and drink. There was a bouncy slide there too!

Some weeks before I'd been invited to a party, and the evening before, had a message from Caroline, asking if I'd do some face painting in the afternoon of the party, coz there'd be loads of kids. I used to do a lot of Face Painting, decades ago! Dressed as a Clown. So that meant a trip up the ladder and into the Attic... scarrry place. I found my bag... also think I found some woodworm! (must get that seen to, just in case)

Anyway, Lola loved the party, the kiddies loved Lola and took her off on a trolly for a ride around the field. (See that little red trolly in the picture...oh, let me add quickly that Lola is fully recovered, maybe has the odd drag of one of her feet, but she mangaed to pull Tigger, the large hot water bottle cover, all the way down the hall to the living room. (This is usually the first thing she does when she comes to stay)

Yesterday Caroline nipped round with some flowers as a thank you for doing the Face Painting...and said I had another booking! (as I said to Angela, not what I thought I'd be doing in 2023!)

Above, another cold cup of tea and the start of a pop up card. It's really late so I'd better post this! Pop over to AlTered Book Lovers to see more Tuesday teasers. More tomorrow in WOYWW. Thanks for stopping by.
