My Bugaboo Friday Freebie Card.

It's Friday! Which mean "It's Friday Freebie" over on the Bug!! (If he's not there yet, he will be soon!...it's probably still yesterday in America!) Don't you just louve him! It's Stock Monkey, with a pencil, ready for any project you want to make and he's free all this coming week over on Bugaboo! HERE . And see what the Bug-Team have made HERE
See more of his friends HERE and while you're there look out for yesterdays Oldie but Goodie Thursday Creations made by the Bug-team with Images from awhile ago but still 'Goodies'!
Here's my Guest Designer Card: All the Green, yellow and red lines all the way round the card and on the layers, were coloured with Promarkers.
The topper starts off with yellow and green Promarker edging a card, then some wording in black and white, which I did on the computer, then monkey cut out with my deckled edged Nestabilities, so some of him gets cut off. Then to make him whole again, I've covered him with another monkey, then covered that monkey with a monkey with one leg, and lastly, covered that monkey with another monkey's head, paw (hand?) and paw holding the apple. (that's a lot of monkeys!!)
I touched him up (in a nice way!) with a white gel pen. His face got a bit creased where I 'curled' the paper with my finger in the palm of my hand. The 'back 2 skool' was done on the computer, in bold. (white on black)
The Font is a freebie, linked it before. It's called Billy Bear's Crayons, or Google the name or download it @ Billybear4kids(link on side bar)
Freebie Papers: The large black board type paper comes from Free Digital Scrap Booking. I've linked them loads of times so you've probably got it, if not stay a while, loads of papers for you to download, join their News Letter for up dates and talking about News Letters, join Bugaboo's New Letter too, get to know about everything Bugaboo before everyone else and get a freebie!!!
Back later to add the right links if they're wrong, more pictures, coz I forgot to take any of the inside and to add more challenges... coz I've lost my notebook... again...

Bug Has a New Bubble!

It's Tuesday, which means, I can change my socks.. nah only kidding, I did that yesterday! It means it's new release day over in the Bugaboo digi Store, and look who came to play in my craft room! Isn't he just too darn cute!?! Wouldn't he make a great birthday or invitation to a party card!?
This is Bubble's Birthday Present all ready for a party! Pop over and see him and some of his friends and some more cards made by the bug team over on Catch the Bug .
My Card: I printed out Bubble a couple of times. Coloured with Promakers. Cut out one image with a scalloped Nestibilitie, cut the other one out, snipping off the bow, the top of the hat and those fiddly bits and stuck it over the top using gel glue.
Then, with the same five colours I used on the digi I striped a piece of A4 heavy paper and used that as backing, inside and out, after I first edged the pearl card with a Turquoise ProMaker.
I've added felt flowers. I fixed the sequins in the centres using gel glue.
There's some some plastic swirly bits that came as part of a party set of backless buttons, tiny green heart gems, fixed on with a quickie glue pen, a ribbon and a lace boarder using a Martha Stewart punch, (inked a little bit) The sentiment was done on the computer. The Font is a freebie its called Ackident download it there or Google the name.

New Release Tuesday; A Bugaboo Sock Monkey

It's another Bugaboo card!! I'm on a roll...no honestly...someone left a cheese and tomato roll on my seat!
This is Sock Monkey, Bugaboo's latest new release for this Tuesday! Don't be fooled, steal his last banana and he'll throw Monkey Poo at you!!
You'll find a few more cards using him over on Catch The Bug HERE or pop over to the store and have a look at more Monkey digi's and his friends HERE, but don't forget to duck!
My Card. First I edged the whole card with a red Promarker, then used the brightest papers I could find, because of course Monkey's love bright things. (That lets me off the hook then!) Most likely the papers all came as freebies from Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine... but I might be wrong, I've had them for ages and I've used the actual papers and not a printed download.
I've added a sticky foam bug, (there's a theme going on here) Foam flowers and the word Fun, cut out using my Big-shot, and some of my first ever die-cuts from waaay back.
I've used Nesties for the topper and the inside. Also added a few odd brads that were rolling about on my desk top and really wanted using!
I've left the inside of the card blank for now, just added those bright coloured papers, with a white space to write a message or just 'Happy Birthday'.
The sentiment on the front of the card was done on the computer, white on black.
The font is a freebie. It's called Flowerchild and you can download it HERE (or just google the name) Don't you think he's cute? That's it, I'm off to peel the squashed tomato from my shorts, thank you for stopping by! I'd love to enter him into a few...

ZzzZzzing In The Garden (Part Two) Secret Revealed!

It's funny how making one card, leads to making more cards and gives you more ideas. I always said when I used to draw my strip cartoons, 'every cartoon should create at least five more' so the drawing of a daily cartoon for a newspaper should come easy!
A few posts down I showed you how I made my double Z Card. (This'll be the last one, honest!) In that first post I also showed you a picture of the same style of card, facing the other way, in fact, backwards. Well, this gave me another idea. Because you have to join two cards together, you are in fact, if you don't cover it all in glue, creating or able to create, a pocket! A little secret place at the back of the card (Or in this case, at the front!)
In fact so secret, it might be missed! So with a bit of snipping and punching on one of these back parts of the card, then colouring the edge of the pearl card with black, to give the illusion of matting. (Promarkers don't bleed though pearl card) and hey presto, I've made two cards out of one idea.
Same papers as the card below. (Kate Knight) Not so much add ons because it would make it too bulky, because, this is the same card. Of course if this was a completely new card (with nothing on the other side) I would then add more to this side. It could do with a couple of flowers, couldn't it!?! There is glitter!
The font is a freebie. It's called Hybrid Hibiscus
Inside the pocket, I was going to push a thin packet of seeds. Off I went to hunt one down, knowing I had loads of seed packets somewhere. Could find any?? No! And then, (made a cup of tea, biscuits, etc) forgot all about talking the photo of the pocket!
Anyway...fast forward... I've now used the pocket to hide some money! (Not much, coz I'm broke!)
The image I used this time is Hedgie with His Sunflower...(One of mine!) Hedgie has been 3D-ed. I printed the first PNG image straight onto the sky background.
Hope you like my 'Hidden Pocket Backward Double Z Card... there's a mouthful! One tip I have is, this image is only fixed to the card at the top, so that when you close it and tie the ribbon it can still go under the topper. Oh and here's the card naked after edging it with a black Promarker...That's it! Secret Revealed! Thank you for stopping by!

ZzZzzzing In The Garden.

Yes, I'm Snooozzzing in the garden, not! but it is very sunny so I could be! The bee's are buzzing and the flowers have started coming through, so I should be in the garden...but...well...it's nicer here in my Craft Room (with the Visiting Cat fast asleep next to me!)
I've made another Double Z card, so thought I'd show you, and at the same time remind you about Quirky Craft's latest challenge. "First Signs of Spring" AND to use a double Z card! (I've shown you how I made mine in the post below) Don't forget to read the Quirky Rules!
This time I've used some papers from a 6x6 paper stack, which came free with CardMaking & Paper Craft Magazine a while back. They're by Kate Knight called Totally Tropical Summer Papers. It's worth a visit as they always have loads of freebie papers to download. The little sticker is from a set, which was also a freebie from the same magazine ages ago.
The Blue sky papers came from....(Hang on, just looking!) 'Let's Fly Away' 6x6 paper Stack freebie with Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine, also a little while back.
I've used my own digi 'Hedgie with His Watering Can', I've 3D-ed him and coloured him with Promarkers. I've also coloured the flowers and the fern leaves with Promarkers too.
The freebie font I used inside the card is called Good Dog, you can download two types of it HERE
I've added Stickles Glitter to the papers to add a bit of bling and also used Nesties, Memory-Box, XCut and Martha Stewart Dies and Punches. Ribbon and that odd tangle of wool is from my stash. I've made this card with a couple of challenges in mind...making sure I don't enter too many others! Oopps, nearly forgot!! This card hides a secret! I'll show you what in the next post!! (I forgot to take the picture!) Thank you for dropping by!!

Zzzzz Wake Up! It's Quirky Well Spring!!

Hi guys, wakey wakey it's that Quirky time again! And it's officially spring here in the New Forest. (England) I thought it was about time I made my DT card and be on time too! So here it is!
It's Diane's turn to set the theme over on the Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog, and she has decided this fortnightly challenge will be....
First Signs of Spring!
using a
Double Z Fold Card!
So, TWO things for you to think about! For the card makers out there Diane would love you to make a double Z fold card. Splitcoaststampers have a great tutorial and a video to show you how to make the card if you don't already know. For the non-card makers perhaps you can create an exploding box filled with butterflies or snowdrops or a scrap page, which has a secret page that folds out revealing the first signs of spring... naughty rabbits suddenly come to mind!
The challenge this time is sponsored by The Stamping Boutique and they have very kindly offered the winner 5 Digi Stamps of their choice!
I have actually made one of these Z cards before, but didn't know what it was called! (thought I was being clever and making something new! As if!) So I decided to go along with the same idea, using two square cards~(stuck together) as I'm rubbish at measuring, so if you are too, here's a reminder how I did it...here. But I will do another 'How To' in the next post.
The backing paper's I used were a freebie 6x6 paper stack by Kate Knight called Spring Fling with CardMaking & Paper Craft Magazine Feb issue 101. They also came with matching chipboards!
I've used two digital images from our Sponsor, The Stamping Boutique, 'Tulips' and 'Spring' coloured with Promarkers. I recycled the butterfly on the front from something someone sent me, and coloured with a dark red using a Promaker, (it was blue) I've added a Memory-Box swirl, peel off corners, and inside peel off flowers, another butterfly and loads of Stickles Glitter to the flowers on the paper. It's all held closed with some dark pink spotty ribbon from my stash.
Now, this not only makes a nice card this way round, but if you turn it back to front, it also makes another nice card! I've just done this one very quickly, using papers from the same paper stack. You could add sentiments to the side panels and some extra flowers. Two cards for one!
So, that's the Challenge, make a Double Z card with a Spring Theme!
New Follower! Hi and a BIG {{wave}} to Gayle who is out the back and in the dark, you'll know her fabulous blog gaylepage-robak- A Stamping Touch. Pop over and see some of her fab creations! That's is for now, don't forget to pop over to the Challenge blog to see what everyone else has come up with and the winners of the last challenge.

It's Quirky Snowing...

Hello!! This is my second DT card this Sunday for the challenge over on Quirky Craft's Challenge Blog. (I know...I nearly fainted too!) It's was my turn to set the theme and decided it should be something very easy. Snow!
I used one of our sponsors digi's Little Tree by Limited Runs. Coloured with Promakers (of course)
Backing Papers. I've used 'Cosy Collection Papers', which came free from Quick Cards made Easy Magazine issue 93. (worth clicking the link, you won't find these papers but you will find links to other freebie papers. You may have to 'sign in') I've layered the papers onto matt silver card. I used Nestabilities Scalloped Circles and a Martha Steward border punch, plus some red reindeer ribbon from DoCrafts and grey/silver eyelash wool from my stash. I've also used Liquid Appliqué on the tree...I love the way that stuff bubbles up when you heat it. The Large snowflake I bought on line years ago...I think I had a bag of 50 of them! (49 to go!) I added some micro glitter to it and there's also some micro glitter on the little girls clothing. Her buttons have a 'smidging' of red Stickles glitter.
The sentiment was made on my laptop so therefore The font is a freebie. I'm sure I've linked it before, it's called Cute Pop, which you can down load HERE or Google the name.
I've had Emma and Tom (daughter and S-I-L) here today... making their Christmas Cards, so it's been quite a crafty afternoon! Wish I'd taken some pictures!
New Follower! Hi and a big ((wave)) to Manderly who I'm sure will start her blog soon!! Thank you for following! Monday tomorrow...I type that just to remind myself! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary Tom and Emma...

I'm a bit late, as Tom and Emma's 3rd wedding anniversary was on the 11th, so with any luck they should have received this card by now. (It was still a bit sticky when I posted it!)
Doesn't seem three years ago that I was wearing my mother of the bride hat! Anyway, the papers are a mixture of Pink Petticoat (inside) and some fairy papers , which I've forgotten the name of, as I've had them for ages and Summer Papers 'quite contrary' by My Minds Eye! (that came free with Cardmaking and PaperCraft Magazine months ago) I used up some of the scraps, which is why the inside patterned panel is a bit short, added more hearts to make it look as though it was supposed to be like that. (No one will know!)
The stamped image is by Sarah Kay, which I won last year. Coloured with Promarkers and covered with lots of Stickles glitter glue.
The flowers I'm sure were a freebie from a Magazine, I've added gems.
The ribbon was from my local (not very crafty) craft shop. The little heart charm I'm sure I won that too, from Sue from one of the House Mouse blog hops. The embossed butterflies came from Create and Craft in a boxed set of cards, which came with their own add on embellishments. I've used, Nesties, Woodware punches and Martha Stewart border and fern punches
The font is a freebie, I've linked it before, it's called Ancestory SF. Download it HERE or Google the name.

For this challenge we're sponsored by the lovely Digital Delights by Louby Loo who have provided some great jungle images for us on the team to use, including our GDT too! This is my make... coloured with ProMarkers.... I've used Dillon the Lion, which I've decoupaged, (printed him four times, the first one, I changed to PNG and printed him straight onto the paper animal paper, also available from our sponsors, so I didn't have to cut round his tail) The other tiger and giraffe papers are from Freedownload digitals. (There's loads of other papers. Link always on my side bar) The two fonts I've used are freebies. Crazy Loot BTN Inline and Apple Boy BTN (some sites do charge for this one) Other things used, Pink Petticoat paper (the green grass) black card (from Trago Mills) Nestabilities scalloped circles, Woodware paw punch, X cut border punch and as you can see, I couldn't make up my mind about the eye-wool...
So, over to you!! Make anything crafty you like with a Jungle Theme... Lions, monkeys, zebras, fur look papers, Jungle leaves, big paw prints. Come up with something fantastic and join in! Back 2 Skool!

I don't really need a 'back to school card', but I thought I'd make one anyway (just in case!) using my latest digi. Found HERE in my store. I once made a card for Oscar, Tom's (son-in-law) little 'nephew', only trouble with that digi was, hubby, who quickly became an expert on copy-writes and other digi artists, wouldn't let me put it in my digi store! (meanie) as he thought it was too much like another well known hedgie, so this year, I did a Mole, can't go wrong with a mole! Here's one of my Back to School hedgehogs on an ATC from last year Here what do you think?(Nah! It's nothing like it, is it!)
Anyway here he is, Digger the Mole, looking all Moley and off to school... Hopefully they'll soon teach him to spell and not make mole hills in the lawn!
Coloured with Promarkers. The brads are soft plastic. There's an Apple, a pencil, an A+, a star and there's also a little yellow school house and a yellow school bus, just like they have over in the USA (but not here in England)
The black and white backing blackboard type paper is a freebie, it's called back 2 school and you can download it HERE. Scroll down to the bottom of the sites page. There's loads of other things, so you'll want to book mark this site if you haven't already!
The light numbered papers (designed by Hot Off The press) was a freebie from Craft's Beautiful Magazine way back in 2007! Yes, I've found them for you HERE. Because it's wwwaay back there are no pictures and you will have to login/register so I would paste and copy the page first, which is...
http://www.crafts-beautiful.com/index.php/download/pattern_pack_backing_papers_crafts_aug07/
then login and then paste in the above address, otherwise you'll never find it! I don't think the paper is as large as they were in the mag, but you will get some templates too, which might be useful! Or, in the meantime CardMaking & PaperCraft Magazine have some fabulous pink banner papers HERE called Happy Days! I haven't used mine yet.
The sentiment I did on the computer using a black background and white writing and cut out with Nestabilities.
The font is a freebie I've used before, but if you missed it you can download Billy Bear's Crayons HERE where you'll find loads of kiddie type fonts to download!
I 3D-ed Digger The Mole to make him 'pop' a bit and added Glossy Accents to his glasses, so they shine! I also used my new thin ProMarker nibs to colour them! He'll be in my Digi Store very soon! 99p (quick plug there!)
New Followers: Hi and a big ((wave!!) to LauraB, who's a Crafty Little Woman fab blog with journals and other things, pop over and say hi! and Chris with no link and out the back and in the dark Lynn b! But I think this might be you, My cards n stuff ! Lovely blog! Now, I did type this out last week, so I hope all my challenges are still open! Thank you for popping by!
