My blog has now be running for a year. Although I did have a few attempts at starting one before, but failed miserably!! With my small brain, I did find it quite hard working out what everything meant!! What to do with it, and where to put it once I'd got it!! But, finally I worked it out and if I can do it, anyone can!!!
Not only is it my blog's birthday but it's also my birthday next month (and it's me and him indoors wedding anniversary the month after that) and I've had well over 22,000 hits!! Which isn't too bad for an ordinary blog not doing anything much more than showing off a few hand made cards (and talking too much!).

So I thought it would be a good idea to do a bit of a 'thing' with the candy. The more followers who enter, the more there will be!! (so don't all rush at once!)

But first the hard part... this is a 'Followers' Candy...

1. I'd love you to 'post' my Candy on your blog and/or side bar with a link back here. That's the important one, and I will be checking!!
2. Then I'd love you to have a guess at how many flowers are in my Flower drum!! There's 15 compartments, filled with all kinds of flowers, different kinds of paper, silk, felt, self-sticking, glittery, even a few padded ones. There's very large flowers as well as very small ones!

I will count them all now, and put the number into a tiny envelope, so if I just happen to use a few in the next couple of weeks, the number that's in there NOW is the number I want you to guess!!!

3. You can have an extra guess if you find a post with no comments!! Comment that you've found it and then nip back here for your extra go! (I'll be adding a few more for you to find!!
So, whoever is first to comment here will be able to have two guesses!!)

I'll start the candy off with an assortment of Peel offs stickers.... the more people who guess the more the candy will grow!! And as it grows I will add more pictures...
In case of a tie, the candy will be shared! if no one guesses the correct amount, the followers closest to the right number (higher or lower) will be put into a hat (their guesses not them. ) given a good shake and will be chosen by Frog the Cat!! So???

My Weekly Followers Blog Candy

I thought I'd better do it properly! And as you can see, I've been playing with my new toy! I made this Candy Banner, took loads of pictures and then couldn't decide which one to use...so I used them all!
Just to recap, Blog Candy every week (Saturday/Sunday) from now until the end of September for one lovely random follower. If you want to put this banner on your side bar with a link back here that would be lovely and of course earn you an extra point!! (and what do points make....nice game.. nice game... ) I'm making up GoodyBags full of all sorts, bits and pieces, such as... Stamped Images, Die-cuts, Peel-offs, Papers, Glitter, Buttons, Ribbons, Brads, old socks, anything I can think off. One question you could answer is,

"What wouldn't you like to find in your goody bag if you won? Well...it's no good me giving you John's old slippers if you don't want them!

With any luck there'll be a couple more posts today, but you may have to scroll down for them...I'm going to play with the time thingy again...just to see what happens!

Dragonfly: ATC. and Blog Candy!

Sorry! You've guessed, there's no space rocket tonight, but I did print it out, so all I have to do is cut round it, add a few 3D stickers and Bob's your uncle... (who is Bob, doesn't anyone know) but I did finish this ATC. It's taken me ages! The main image was a freebie over on June's lovely Blog a few weeks ago and she had a challenge to alter it in any way. Of course slow silly cloggs here forgot and then couldn't think how to finish it. I wanted a mirror reflection in the centre to look like water, but ended layering silver embossing power and then stamping into it with a dragonfly stamp from Paperartsy. Not quite how I saw it in my head ...but then by head's full of sawdust and strawberries most of the time.

Sadly, I've also got another picture of the wasps nest. When my dad rung me to say he'd be round first thing with his smoke gun to 'see to' the wasps, I actually heard myself trying to put him off! Then I remembered the child I knew who was attached by a whole nest and only last week someone in the next road had to be taken to hospital as they suffered a bad reaction with just one sting. Anyway dad was very determined and as he used to be a bee keeper has a few 'helpful' gadgets. As he approached the hedge armed with his smoke gun and his magic wasp killing puffer, I warned him they were angry and wouldn't take prisoners! He said, 'They wouldn't worry me!' and as I warned him again, the first attack wave flew straight out at him! In all his years (he's 83) he said he'd never known such an angry mob and assured me, they had to go. Anyway enough of wasps...they give me the hebegebies!!! (worse than spiders do!)

After having a bit of a win last week, over on Lisa's lovely blog, I've decided seeing I've been blogging for just about four months now and have reached over 10,000 hits I'm going to give away some Blog Candy in a way of a thank you to all my followers for their lovely comments and support! Lisa has been doing a weekly surprise for her followers and I thought I'd do the same... So, all you have to do to be in with a chance to win some bits and pieces, is to call in and say hi! (which is what you've all been doing anyway!)
