Happy Puurrrday Mr Jinx!

Stop crafting and fuss me!

It's Jinxie's birthday today. He's 16 and he adopted us when he was about four. He'd come and go and then finally he stayed and has been with us ever since.

Jinx in his little house, snoozing

I asked everyone if they knew where he lived and everyone pointed back to my house!  We'd go for long walks around the village hoping (and not hoping) to find who his owners were.

Snoozing on my craft chair

It must have been about two or three years later when, we were being followed by a slow moving car, that turned around several times... creeping along....following us. Men In Black-thinking Jinx was in disguise and was really the evil Martion doomed to take over the World by using his  yellow green eyes to hypnotize us all into committing hari-kari or worse strangle ourselves with long pieces of spaghetti. But no. Thankfully, nothing like that!

We'd been home about two minutes when I heard a 'Coo-ee! Do you have a cat?' I opened the gate, by this time I realised who she must be and even knew Jinx's real name. Jinx had already gone indoors. "Yes...um....I have a cat. " said me, "Are you looking for...Bruno?"
Loves sleeping on our bed!

"Oh yes, I thought your cat looked a lot like him...he was always going off. I have his mum and sister at home." (Just round the corner) "Jinx!" I called,  "Me-yow?"  said Jinx and came out.

Jinx, trying to get into the attic

Jinx purred around my legs while me and the lady talked about him. She said, he was always going off,  and was never like that will her, and if I wanted to come and collect his vet booklet and meet his mum and sister I could, so! He was then, from that day on, no longer the 'Lodger cat'

Jinx, having a 'sun attack' on the bridge

My old craft room (bigger than this one) was made back into a bedroom (for when the grandkiddies came over) I'm sure Jinx thought we'd made it just for him!

Jinx puts up with the dogs when we have them-even to trying on Lola's coat!

Sorry about the pink cloggs...a dog chewed off the band and weirdly, I found that green one in a field the very next day!

Stop writing in here and fuss me!

No matter what I'm doing, he has to sit there! Happy Birthday Jinx!

A Late WOYWW #654 and a T for Tuesday too

Happy Wednesday...(although it is Thursday... and almost Friday, but don't tell anyone!) It was WOYWW? but somehow it never got posted. So, here's my mess, I mean my crafty bench/room, hall.. everywhere, is just a heap of stuff...I'll show you that and then you can pop over to Stamping Ground and see some real crafting. Why not join in! It's fun!

The grandkiddies stayed over and wanted to colour in some of my past digi's. Niamh used the computer to colour in and Oliver, seen at the top, used some alcohol markers I  bought from 'The Works'. Of course he wanted them "BIG' nanny" (the digis that is)where Niamh, resized hers.

Meanwhile, I was trying to finish some last minute cards but no matter how many times I stamped this tree, it wouldn't stamp... but then, can you see what I ended up doing? Stamping on my stamping platform.  I forgot to add the paper!

Then, having another look at my four step card... I'm thinking 'Harry Potter.' It's Niamh's Birthday just after Christmas and she's going to The Warner Brothers Harry Potter theme Park and this would do nicely with a door cut into the stairs, with Harry Potter peeping out! Has anyone already done that?

Here's the work top, at last. It was worse. I've been hunting for the front door key since Monday, so moved some stuff. I know I had it in my hand on the way out, but what happened to it when I came back in? I even made John move the car forward incase it was under there!
I looked everywhere and....? Look... I've just spotted it in the photo! Plus Hot Chocolate of course (Cookies already eatten!)

I did promise some puppy pictures last week... so here's Duke and Dexter, with John giving them a treat! Dexter's the puppy, he's six months old.

And last, Mr Jinx chilling out in the spare room... I'd just changed the bed once the Grandkiddies had gone home. Anyone would think I'd made it just for him!  That's it from me. And, seeing I'm soooo late I'd like to add this to T for Tuesday and WOYWW #654! Stay Safe!

WOYWW!? #652 A little bit of santa and a cheeky cat

First!! Happy December!! Then, Afternoon all you crafty  WOYWWers!? Yes I'm late. (I think I'll make that my middle name) Honestly, I go out with two dogs yesterday afternoon. Go down on the beach. Cold, but not too bad, had Hubby with me. It was getting dark, so we thought we'd head back. It's strange how my van heads to the nearest dog friendly pub, whenever hubby's with me! Later, we took the pooches back to their house; they were zapped out. We come home and then... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!! What happened? I was snoring  the rest of the evening! Anyway, I'm now where I should've been about 7o'clock this morning! I got started on this weeks freebie and as you can see from the picture above, I was invaded by Jinx. He's sitting on my drawing! You can guess what he's saying. "Feed Me!!"

And then, these came from CraftStash. Papercraft Society Boxes! (I now have four) These were Half Price!! (part of their Black Friday deal) So I had to have two! One's by Helen Griffin and the gnome one is by Olga Direktorenko. The boxes are just piled up on top of my earlier desk, before I cleared it, pushed it back, to do the drawing, which of course made Mr Jinx think I'd cleared the space for him.

I showed these stamps last week I think. I got them from the Crafty Charity shop. They're not all there but then, after looking for some freebie downloads I found the whole set as digi stamps by, none other than Helen Griffin! I love these cute little critters, and Santa.

But.... now this next bit is even weirder!! Sam Calcott was busy showing us how to make a Flip Flop card and was using a Raymond Briggs Santa Stamp from a 2018 Papercraft Essentials Magazine.  I can remember picking this mag up.... but after hunting for it, remembered I'd put it back! (sigh) Now the next day, I did a bit of shopping and was heading for the Charity Crafty Shop, when a little voice in my head said, 'have a quick look in there'. (another charity shop) I nearly didn't, as it only usually has clothes and china and old socks...and even big knickers, but as I opened the door, there, on the first shelf, all on its own was the same Raymond Briggs Santa, complete with all the stamps, papers and foiled die-cuts! I didn't do a double take, I grabbed it thinking I must be dreaming!

So, I've been doing a little jig ever since. No wonder I'm so tired! I've coloured a couple in, and hopefully will put them out later in the week...just have to get the flopping and the flipping bit worked out, only I think I've mastered the 'Flippin' bit already! That's me done, pop over to Stamping Ground and join in, so we can see 'What's on Your Worktop Wednesday!' Thank you for stopping by!

It's Time for T stands for Tuesday and The 2nd on The Second

Morning or Evening fellow T Stands For Tuesday. As I type this, it's sort of just gone midnight here, our clocks went back over the weekend, so it's really only just gone 11 on Monday evening, so, I'm early in a Time Travelling sort of way! On my desk there's a nearly empty Tea mug with a cat doing her exercises, this one is 'Lunges' There's also few die-cuts from some goodies I found at the Charity Craft shop. I'll use them later.
Not sure if this is a Tyrannosaurus or a Tarbosaurus! But he was very big and roared very loudly! Taken at The Eden  Project. It's very hot and steamy down in the
Cornwallish Jungle!

I don't think Mr Jinx would've liked him! "Giv me Treats!"

And a Blast from the Past to celebrate the end of Oc'tomb'er, when I was on the Quirky Crafts DT Team. "Giv Us A Treat!" this was for 2nd on T Second post ( 2nd on The Second at Altered Book Lover)  but I couldn't find anything on a Tuesday on the 2nd back in the past, or anything to include a rainbow... but there is red and orange and yellow in it! So this was the closest I could get! This one was on a  Monday in October 2014!
Now,  back to this month.... The picture above shows us at a Town meeting we went to. That's us with our backs to you!  They want to build 170 odd houses, bungalows and flats (flats??crazy!!)in a small field in a tiny country lane near a Nature Reserve.
"No way, José”!

The Grandkiddies are now out of self isolation! They're feeling fine and  are having lots of fun!

And, did you know? It's only 53 more days till Christmas!! Happy November!! Have a great 'T For Tuesday' day. Thank you for stopping by!

It's Time For Tea Tuesday- 8th Anniversary!

Here's what I am working on this week. It was quite unbusy, but then things happened. Mr Jinks was nipped off to the vets again, he's ok in fact at this moment he's trying to push me out of my chair!  And then I had happy mail! That will, in someway still be there for  woyww's post tomorrow. Also, almost hidden but not quite are some of the ATC's, which I've made for the Tea for Tuesday 8th Anniversary!! but of course you aren't allowed to see them yet! (so, naughty Lyn. go and take that picture out now!)

Ok. I started making these little cards. I've made them before HERE using the 12x12 papers. These are the smaller, 6x6, I'll make a little box case for then to go into. This time I've used bought cards and envelopes instead of making my own so they're smaller and I had a die cut that was just the right size!  A nice and quick little gift for grandaughter next time I see her. In the middle of the picture  are two late (or extra!) ATC's from Woywwers and some cutting plates, so I'll mention them tomorrow!

Here's my cup of cold tea this week! No biscuits though...I have a fasting blood test coming up...not that it will make much difference! Also, there's a glimse of some of my A4 stamps, which I keep in document folders and the envelope of the anniversary card I posted yesterday and...one more picture...
Jinx, finally wiggled into a space beside me on my chair and fell fast asleep! Well, he'll need that as we have Lola the Chihuahua coming today...so, I'll say night night...as I have to be up early to collect her! Happy Tea For Tuesday 8th Anniversary! Thank you for stopping by!

Two Sleeping Beauties!

Look at this...the two men in my life!  Tired and worn out after a hard days night! The Lodger cat  Jinxy and hubby John! Having a ...catnap! Oh, by the way,  after all this time, I now know Jinxy's real name, anyone care to guess?

Thank you

To everyone who has called in, sent emails, hugs, commented and even sent cards and prayers, wishing myself and by family every kind of love and comfort after my dad suddenly passed away last Tuesday, I would love to say a very big Thank you! You are all amazing. Things are not going to be, and haven't been the same for most of this year but in 'Blogland' I've always found it to be a magical place where people are very kind and wish everyone the happiness they dream of and deserve. Thank you for following, Thank you for joining in with some of my silly games and challenges. Thank you for liking some of my not so good freebies and some that weren't too bad! Hopefully I'll be back to 'normal', if I ever was 'normal', as soon as possible..
Some of you have asked about Jinxy our lodger cat. He is still with us, it's been nearly a year now. I think he's decided...he is home

The Window Men!

We've been shopping for new blinds today for my new windows!! Yay!! I actually got John to go to Ikea!! (although they didn't have what we wanted) But never mind that!! We're still in a bit of a mess. My long white crafty work bench is still leaning against the wall in the hall. Dust is everywhere, so there's no change there!
So, here's a few before and after pictures of those doors and windows. Our old ones were pretty dia! The Living room.... we had ivy trying to grow through the door! Oh look, you can see my runner beans. Not growing very quickly this year! And see the rose over the trellis, would you believe there's a pigeon nesting in there! The kitchen window was worse! I think only the paint was holding the glass in! But then The Window Men arrived!! da da!!!!
...dressed in their super fast green T Shirts and in seconds they had started with their hammering and slicing and other noisy things men do with windowy takey outty things.... Out came the bedroom window!!! (yes, I know...change the wall paper...it's on my list!) But even rarer, these Window Working Men didn't stop for tea and biscuits, once!!! Nor lunch, just kept on going!
And the bathroom window had two of the Wonder Window men, crowbarring it out! Y'know, I once locked myself out and got in through that top window! I know, it's hard to believe I was ever that thin! Soon it wasn't long before they had the kitchen window out too! (Say cheese boys!) How d'you like my tiling? My first attempt...it might look random, but there is a pattern. I forgot to take a picture of John's office window so it's straight round to my...
...old craft room window (the wood on the wall along the bottom holds up my crafty bench) Very very cold room, you can feel the wind blowing in through the gaps in the windows. Looking through the window you can see I did manage to cut the hedge! (need to tidy the garden now)It didn't take long to start sawing out the window frames of my crafty room once the glass came out!
The following day they started on the living room window and door, covering everything with dust covers...(Stopped sawing to say cheese!) Meanwhile out came the front door and it's glass side panel!

then back round to the living room back door and window again, and it wasn't long before The Window Men had sawn through the wood...

ready to take out the glass....

Even the rain didn't stop them knocking down the wall with a grinding cutting saw thing...

and a chisel and hammer....

and this is what they look like now!!
Next job?? New gutters, conservatory and a bigger patio! (In my dreams!)
*
Oh...and for those who have asked about Jinx our 'lodger cat', who isn't ours, 'Can he still get in? Did we replace the old cat flap in the new side door???' Yes. Well, it seemed the right thing to do, after all, I might want to get another cat one day! Although...
...Jinxy finds meowing in at the new French doors so much easier!
'Let me in!'
