One More Christmas Pocket Card

I've only a few Christmas cards left...(oh goody, I can hear you say) well, I like to post them here because it's a good way of checking up on what I've done and see the changes in my styles...well...I think they're getting better. I hope they are! Visiting other people blogs gives me loads of inspiration and challenges me to have a go at something different, although, there's loads of things I make that don't make it here!
This is the other Pocket Christmas card I mentioned about before. I made him (or her) at the same time as I made the other one, using my Stampin' Up papers and stickers (which I won, yay!!) the same red peel offs and some acetate along the bottom.
At one time I thought this was one of my 'missing cards' but luckily it had been filed away in one of my 'useful boxes' and when I went to remake it, there is was, grinning at me! (Phew!)
I'm glad I added the golden snowflake flower, (It's missing from the second picture) I think it fills in that gap at the top just right, shame I didn't take a closer picture of it!
I used a Woodware flower punch, but then put the flower in the palm of my hand and then sort of circled my finger round and round the centre of it until the flower curled up, then added the golden snowflake with a dollop of silicone glue and the red gem using my 2 in1 glue pen, a bit like a Quickie glue pen, when that was dry I fixed it to the card and added the fern leaves.
The inside of the card is near enough the same as the other pocket card only I didn't cut out a half circle in the 'pocket'. The inside snowflake was punched out using a very large Dovecraft punch, which I was very lucky to get for half price!I think the Quirky Forum Challenge starts up again tomorrow (Sunday) I'll give you a sneak peak of my DT make when I've made something! A clue?? Hmmm, well, I'm going to be using a colour I don't think I've ever used before!! And!!! I have a prize to give to one of my followers! Who?? I'll let you know tomorrow!

A Christmas Card for Mum and Dad

This Tilda card I made for my Mum and Dad. I used Papermania papers and my Stampin' Up prize papers over some gold miri card that I fixed on to a folded green card, then of course I couldn't find an envelope for it! You've probably spotted that I quite liked these papers as I did a few similar cards, one being Tom's and Emma's card, which I posted here on January 1st. The Christmas Tree brads I think were from Woodware, the image was a swap, which I've had for ages but only just found Christmas Eve! (Yes I was still making cards Christmas morning!) I haven't found her to buy yet, so I'm not sure of her real name but if you've seen her let me know! She has wings, so does that make her an angel?? I hope so, because after doing a spot of blog hopping I found The ABC Christmas Challenge blog. This time round the Challenge is A is for Angel, anyway, I think she's an angel so I'm going to put her into the challenge! Pop over and have a look, I bet you have an angel card that'll fit in with this challenge too! There's also some blog candy going too, all you have to do it post about it and add this badge to your side bar. I did turn off the word variation, it was off for about two to three weeks, but I'm afraid I was swamped with spam...so I'm sorry guys...it's gone back on!! (No...I've taken it off again...)
Back to the card!! The red dotty ribbon is from my stash. I used double sided tape to fix the ribbon and silicone to add the bow. As you can see, it was a little too wide, so, a sprinkling of gold micro glitter hid the extra stickiness! Sorry for being a terrible blogger lately. To make up for it I've added a few more posts down below...! Hmmm...that sounds a little painful!

Christmas Pocket Card (And a link to 2021!)

I love making Pocket cards. I made two, very similar, but different, if you know what I mean. I'll post the other one later. I used my Stampin' Up winnings double sided scrapbook paper for this, only, I say, (making a bit of a face) it could've been a little thicker, lovely scrapbooking paper, but not so good for cards, but that's my fault coz I liked it so much and just had to use it! (actually, my hand was shaking as I picked up scissors! I didn't really want to cut into them!)The image was a swap and as far as I can remember this is the first time I've used it. If you know what she's called please let me know! The red peel offs (Snowflake and Merry Christmas) I'd bought half price. All the papers were new as I'd just won them and I've used my new scalloped Nesties circle! Even though I'd made Pocket cards before I've never added acetate in this way. So!! I'm going to enter this card into Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog as their new challenge for the New Year is NEW! I hope I'm not too late! As you can see, I've folded the card to make a little pocket at the back to add a few surprizes, like, stamped images. In the picture I've added my new Penny Black 'Snowy' Stamp image, but I don't think he was left in there, I think he got out as I have a feeling I made him into a card somewhere...hope he wasn't one of the cards I mislaid...oh well, if he was, never mind, now I have the stamp I can make trillions of him!!
