Happy Birthday Karen-Doggy waterfall Card-plus links to freebies

It was Karen's Birthday yesterday, who's Karen? (I can hear you say)Well, at the moment she has pink hair and runs the cattery where my very much missed Mr Jinx would board when me and hubby John were  away for a few days or a week. She also breeds shitshoes...sorry.. Shih Tzu's  and has informed me that she will most likely start preparing things for puppies next year.

Anyway. A birthday card had to be made and seeing I had one of my Melt Down's on Friday, I think I loaded a freebie and then, the rest of the day just vanished and I didn't even get to start her card, so???? first thing Saturday morning about 5ish, I started and by midday I was still in my pyjamas...but the card was done! Still trying to use up scraps where possible.... Most of these papers are freebies from Gathered You can find the doggy papers here, but you may have to sign in first. Loads of papers from past Paper Inspirations and CardMaking magazines and also PaperCraft issue 147 Barking Mad

Debs (sis in law) also dog walks Karens dogs, and on numerous occasions I have too!) contacted me to be at The Riverside Inn by 1.30 and for once I arrived early. (At this stage I will add, I was no longer wearing my pyjamas!) There were five of us in the end, and we had a fantastic meal, I had a Sticky Chicken Starter, Cod and Chips, and  finished with a Chocolate Bomb! (don't tell the diabetic Nurse!)

Yum all day long!!! I now have eaten soooo much in one day that I won't need feeding til next Tuesday!! Back to the card...

Yes, inside there's a sideways waterfall...which I cut out with a die and then forgot how to make it!!! So, voice in head suddenly yelled, 'Just do it!!!' so I did, and it worked and I managed not to glue it all together in the wrong places!! The pink frames are a cheat! They're just a pink Promarker, then there's 'smooth' bluish glitter card from The Works. There's also a few dots of Nuvo Jewel Drops but they're so translucent you can't see them.

Finishing with one of the last pictures Karen sent me of Mr Jinx while John and I were celebrating his last  birthday with all the family, riding that zip wire! in Cornwall.  Have a great Day! Hoping to find some Challenges!

Thank you for stopping by!

It's Wednesday! WOYWW?! #659

It's Wednesday, WOYWW? So it must be What's On Your Work Top Time! I missed  last week...as I was doing dogs-in a retired sort of way. Completely K%a*ker^d now! Popover to Stamping Ground and join in with loads of other crafty worktop people. The top picture is the left side. Below is the right side...

Stuff mainly left over from making b-i-l's birthday card. I first called it a flip 'n' flop but it was a Twist and Pop...
The phone box in the background was saved from someone elses recycle bin about five years ago, it's suddenly reappered, but I still can't think what to do with it! And below.... the dogs...

Don't worry, they're only playing!

And last but not least...can't miss out Mr Jinx snoozing on my chair this morning!  Don't forget to pop over to Stamping Ground and join in! This weeks Wednesday Freebie is HERE. That's it from me! Thank you for stopping by.

It's Time for T stands for Tuesday and The 2nd on The Second

Morning or Evening fellow T Stands For Tuesday. As I type this, it's sort of just gone midnight here, our clocks went back over the weekend, so it's really only just gone 11 on Monday evening, so, I'm early in a Time Travelling sort of way! On my desk there's a nearly empty Tea mug with a cat doing her exercises, this one is 'Lunges' There's also few die-cuts from some goodies I found at the Charity Craft shop. I'll use them later.
Not sure if this is a Tyrannosaurus or a Tarbosaurus! But he was very big and roared very loudly! Taken at The Eden  Project. It's very hot and steamy down in the
Cornwallish Jungle!

I don't think Mr Jinx would've liked him! "Giv me Treats!"

And a Blast from the Past to celebrate the end of Oc'tomb'er, when I was on the Quirky Crafts DT Team. "Giv Us A Treat!" this was for 2nd on T Second post ( 2nd on The Second at Altered Book Lover)  but I couldn't find anything on a Tuesday on the 2nd back in the past, or anything to include a rainbow... but there is red and orange and yellow in it! So this was the closest I could get! This one was on a  Monday in October 2014!
Now,  back to this month.... The picture above shows us at a Town meeting we went to. That's us with our backs to you!  They want to build 170 odd houses, bungalows and flats (flats??crazy!!)in a small field in a tiny country lane near a Nature Reserve.
"No way, José”!

The Grandkiddies are now out of self isolation! They're feeling fine and  are having lots of fun!

And, did you know? It's only 53 more days till Christmas!! Happy November!! Have a great 'T For Tuesday' day. Thank you for stopping by!

It's Time For T for Tuesday, Day

It is Tuesday here, about half past Three in the morning, and all is quiet. Mr Jinx the cat, is snoring and my cup of Hot Chocolate, is cold and me? I'm still Tidying up.  Above is my said mug with Monkey on it who used to advertise PG Tips Tea. I got it from a Charity shop for £1.50 complete with Monkey wearing a fressing gown!  There's a spoon in it because I love to add a dollop of Nutella. I haven't bought Nutella since waaay before the Lockdown.  I wouldn't buy it because of the hoo-haa about Palm Oil. Orangutans, The Rain Forest, child labour and cancer, it's been staring at me every time I open the cupboard door, hubby bought it, it was on offer.

Here's my Tidying up... Any scraps I have usually get die cut. I lost the 'A' a few weeks back, it fell on the floor at my feet, and then, disappeared into another dimension before I could bend down and pick it up, so I was glad I had a few already cut out.

 Before!

The grandkiddies and been Tie dying again and...! Have some orders!

After!

I'll have to ask if they could do me one with a spiders-web!

And then, left over from a post I did last week, we have The Tree.

 In the Hall at Home.

I had a practice at home first, although the hall wall wasn't really long enough and they wanted it longer and not so wiggly...so continuing from last week.... here's the first bit of black paint on the orange wall...

The start of the tree
T for Tree... it grew a bit bigger...

 A bit more...

Oliver supervising

 Almost finished

Well, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaay past my bed time...in fact I'll be getting up soon!  So, have a Happy T for Tuesday and I'll see you later, over at  The Altered Book Lover!  It's night night from me... and night night from Mr Jinx! Bye For Now!

It's T stands For Tuesday.

Hi Crafty Tuesday People! I'm in the middle of 'tidying' up, on this T for Tuesday, Tuesday, and pouring myself a cuppa Tea. Thought I'd use this little teapot with a kitty cat having a nap! And talking about  a kitty cat having a nap...Here's Mr Jinx sitting on the edge of my desk earlier...  "Lyn, look at me, I'm talking to you!"

...obviously he was trying to get my attention. He quickly turned to look back at my chair...

( a bit blurry )...where it was very untidy with tons of folders...
.....(and a very good picture of my radiator!) So I moved the files....

....and Mr Jinx quickly moved in, to take a nap! Who said cats can't talk!?

Earlier I was wondering how I was going use  Sharon's (Foxy Stamping) ATc's and other goodies. Probably fix them Together on one page...

Over The weekend, I was house sitting, Two Terrible Terriers!
Jack and Boudie-Boo (they're not really terrible!)

I also looked after, Tiny Lola this week!
She's actually snoozing on top of a giant Polar Bear!
A snowy Picture from Facebook
But What do you see?

See you all later over at Elisabeths !!

What's On Your Worktop Wednesday!? #632

Well, I haven't seen my work bench for quite a while now....I did tidy, in my own way, but then I had Happy Mail!! I'll tell you about that later, but first you have to click over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in! Ohhooo, we are not alone! Well, I'm not. I had Lola sleeping on one side of my chair, and last night it was Mr Jinx on the other and tonight Jinx is here and Lola has wrapped herself up in a blanket! The first picture of my work bench is a lot like yesterdays, but  different so,I will, as I go on, move stuff back to show you ATC's from woywwers and Happy Mail! I'd show you Lola the Chihuahua but it's too dark to see her. (I'll try and add something later) First picture, I've been sorting out my A4 stamps and 'filling' them. At least my cup has changed from yesterday! (sorry about pictures. My Camera's getting very old!)
Then we have Happy Mail from Anne,(Copperbeech Crafts)-the strawberry ATC, a late WOYWW and in the middle Christine aka Bishopsmate sent me some plates to try on my Gemini Mini after I said I'd only had it a few weeks and it was warping really badly! Thank you to everyone who told me what to do with them. It did work for a while but they are still bending badly! The plates Christine sent are Sizzix ones and didn't fit  the Gemini but fitted my old Bigshot, which won't cut hardly any of the thin dies I have (not unless I stuff it with sheets of different thicknesses of card...and then it only really embosses!) Anyway, as you can see, with the little plates it cut everything easily! The other ATC is also from Christine too! Thank you! In the background I'm making little notelets again, only smaller this time. I wasn't going to make the envelopes but decided to this afternoon.(Pictures are a bit blurry) as I only needed to use one 6x6 sheet of paper per envelope, cut down to five and a quarter and score at...Uh!? (where's the insert button on this new laptop? My old one would give me the fractions (and other weird things, so I wouldn't have to print them... here it is...no, doesn't do anything!) Anyway...
Then there's the freebie, not finished that yet. Behind him are ATC's for The T for Tuesday Swap...just the backs, can't show you the fronts yet! Oh and another empty cup...it's thirsty work typing this! Then,  if we move the freebie out of the way...

At last, Happy Mail!! I have the Lawn Fawn Bundle! Magic Iris. I've wanted this for months. Waaaaay back in March, my birthday, I nearly bought it then, but even with a money offer off the price and a freebie unicorn, I didn't fill my basket because I was told I'd probably pay twice as much because of USA taxes. (If anyone knows if that's not true, let me know!) Anyway, I can't wait to play with these! That's it! I've promised to be in bed before midnight! (I didn't say which Midnight!) Don't forget to pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground!  oh...just one more picture!

Jinx sez Hi...he's feeling a lot better after his all day visit to the vets last week (plus two other days) and has to go again on Friday. That's it!! Thanks for stopping by! Bye Bye for now!!

What's On Your WorkTop Wednesday #609...or it could still be Tuesday...

Yes, but no, even though it was Ground Hog Day yesturday, it's Wednesday! And time to nip over to the Stamping Ground and join in with the longest blog hop ever! Probably! I'm going to be quick to day (Really? Is that Possible?) And as there's nothing of interest going on, on my worktop... (hubby sez show 'em the kitchen and the flippin' hall) Shhh!

I've at last finished doing granddaughter Niamh and her friend some notelets, (I'll blog about them later and add a link)  and a little mini album for Niamh (and I have a horrid feeling I didn't take a finished picture)  using the papers on the top there. I've also been making boxes to put things in, to post off. Done that. Our village Post Office has gone, it's a long work to the next village or a short drive into town... no way José! So, we drove to the other village. And then the power stearing went on the car... just like that, not like that, but, just like that.

Oho. Here comes the cat, Hello Jinx! I also had a go at covering this ummm? what's it called?? coaster!  with a spider's web tissue... only I think I should've painted it white not black, because you couldn't see the web at all! I have more...

I've also covered another broken biscuit-box to house my stamps in. I never realised how hard it is to be so busy! And not actually have anything to show for it!
Got this die from a charity  shop before Christmas, it was only 50p. but, what is it...just a bit of diecutting frilliness, anyone know? I've been pushed out of my seat by the said Mr Jinx who looks a bit shocked (He had to climb over boxes of stuff to get to me coz I'm using the floor again.) That's it! Come and join in WOYWW over on the Stamping Ground!
Bye for now!

Mr Jinx looking a bit stunned and squashed coz I was sitting there too!

What's On Your Worktop Wednesday #602

Morning! It's Wednesday again...every two or three days it seems to come around again! Then we all get 'together' over on STAMPING GROUND, to have a nosey at everyone's worktops! So come and join in! This is what's on my workbench this Wednesday, last night...two o'clock this morning!

Yes....I say slowly, the two snowpeople were going to be this weeks freebie, but I haven't inked round it  yet, it's still all pencil, and once the pencil's gone it won't look the same, and I quite like it like that! Sooo, you'll have a 'Stitched Robin' instead.  My Snarky cats  stamps arrived... (Yay!) had a bit of a practice.
Then, last week, we ventured out side...went into town...scary!! Found a nice little bargan, a fold away Anna Griffin Cuttlebug in a charity shop with spare plates and rubber mats 'n' stuff. Looks like it's hardly been used. So some little grandaughter might be getting a surprise! Shh! Don't say anything! Underneath are some stamps I had two sets of and never used. A little owl, fox, squirrel and a rabbit.  They probably gave me the idea for the stitched robin.
The other end of my worktop... a picture of my dad with his little dog and one of my ponies. My BigShot Plus.  You should've see my workspace this moring! Well...you couldn't! It was heaped up with stuff, it took me all day! Hubby said, "Oh it must be Wednesday tomorrow, you're tidying up!" and then added, "Don't forget all the bits of paper down the hall, and the fact we can't get to the front door or the kitchen. (Cheek) Well actually, we haven't been able to use the front door for most of the week as I'd towed my pile of six Really Usefull Boxes down the hall, to give me more room. The boxes are on wheels. I asked Hubby to put some wheels on a plank of wood to make a kinda 'flatbed' trolley... he's such a clever soul and a good cook too!

Here's the trolly. Those really useful boxes are really heavy! I'm also making good use of the 'Wild Bird Fat Balls' containers too!' They hold some of my stamps/embossing folders/ dies that come 'free' with magazines. It's really hard to decide wheither to put all the dies together or all the stamps or all the embossing folders...coz most of them go with what they come with and some of those dies are very tiny!

Just one more picture, just to let you know that Mr Jinx has been helping write this post! He's 'sharing! my chair! That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to call into Stamping Ground! Stay Safe! Ow! Jinx! Mind where you put those claws!
