Happy GroundHog Day with a Friday Freebie! And a moan about a banned post!

My GroundHog Day didn't start off too well! Checking my phone for the second time at about 5ish this morning, I noticed a message stating that one of my posts from March 11th 2011 has been banned for its content and had been taken down. What-what- what??? WHY? And I have to change -whatever is wrong with it, before it can be reinstated.

coloured on my laptop

It was a St Patrick's Day card with my little leprechaun sitting on a toadstool celebrating that he'd found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It had at least fifty comments from blogs and people all over the world, some not with us any more, including a rare one from John. And of course, loads of links to freebies, papers, fonts, challenges and new followers etc, which I know some of those links are no good now. If that's what's offensive, I can't take the links out of the post, if it's been taken down, can I?  Anyway??? I'm stumped! Who do I complain to? Most of the smaller pictures on that post had already disappeared, years ago, leaving a larger one at the bottom of the post, as blogger probably saved them to a site that also no longer exists, and I was left with a line of triangles with an exclamation mark instead. Yes. Last night I did re-add a picture of that card to that post! Is that why they've banned it!? So, this morning this weeks very late freebie (on a Friday) is a new dancing Leprechaun on a toadstool....  GO HERE TO DOWNLOAD HIM! (I am thinking of doing a rainbow background to go behind the PGN image of this...what do you think?)

On the brighter side....I can now spell Leprechaun without looking it up everytime!

UPDATE! at 7.30 this morning, via email,  before this post had been published my old post from 2011 has been reinstated!  Thank you!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Happy St Patrick's Day!  I've picked one of my digi's to do a St Patrick's card today. I did have an idea in my head what colours and papers, only.... my printer ran out of ink and I knew I'd make a lovely mess....or put the wrong colour in the wot'sname, so left that to good ol' Hubby.

So...I had to hunt out some papers that were either already printed or in a paper pad...I chose these....nothing to do with St Patricks day at all! But Freebies from #112 QuickCards Made Easy, way back in April 2013. (GO HERE)I loved the colours and those little dragonflies. So I cut the pearl card I used yesterday into 11inches by 5 and a half and scored at 5 and a half, then coloured all the edging using a Turquoise Promarker to make it look like layers, then coloured in my little Leprechaun using the same sort of colours, added a gem rainbow (The Works) and die cut the words 'For You' and 'Cheers' in the same pearl card coloured with the Turquoise Promarker.

My horse shoe punch was rubbish and wouldn't cut out the card, so I just used baco foil.  I wanted to add a shamrock as I know I must have a punch or a die somewhere, as there's one on yesterdays card... I might pull it off! Anyway, I couldn't find it. The inside I've made a pocket for money or a gift card and may add a circle die in white to write on...The stitched square die-cut come from Craft,  a set of 8 from places like the Range, Hobby Craft or Trago Mills. Here I've 'framed' the Leprechaun. The die cut sentiments are freebie from Crafty Magazines.  Inside there's some cloud papers, I will add a link if I can find them for free!

The little candi buttons were cream, so I just coloured them the same and the ticky-tacky paper they're fixed to are from a New Year set of  freebie Doggy party papers from 'Gathered'. Here   You might have to sign in. I might add some Stickles gold to the gold in the pot. I think they need to sparkle a little bit more! That's it for now. Thank you from stopping by!

March The 17th? It's St Patrick's Day! (With Links To Freebie Papers)

Well, I forgot! The only day I can wear my St Patricks Day T Shirt and I didn't, again. I was going to post a new little leprechaun but...well, there's always next year!  The post was already half written so I thought I'd add a couple of oldies I made years ago. Only the links to the freebie papers didn't work, so, name change, now called SummerTime Designs Again. Go here to find the top pictures papers. 'Owl always Love Spring' and I'll find the new link to the other papers later.  I'm back...link to the bottom cards papers 'A Little Spring In Your Step' Ilove the rainbows in both sets of papers, and every leprechaun has to have his rainbow because that's where he'll find his pot of gold!  Happy St Patrick's Day, what's left of it! Thanks for stopping by.

Stay safe!

It's F-F-Friday!!

Yesterday it was blowing a hoolie, luckily today was nice and sunny. Hubby, John, baked me some yummy brownies, (coz it's my birthday tomorrow) so I could take them to work to share with the workmen. I carefully cut the (large crunchy top with a very soft sticky chocolaty centre) 12x12 square into nice man-size chomping pieces, put some on a plate, wrapped a couple more pieces up for the gardener, left one bit for little me and a few more for the 'family' who were out. Off I went telling the two Labrador's to... stay. You've guessed it, by the time I came back from the workmen's cabin and the gardeners greenhouse, the two naughty Labradors and finished off what was left of the brownies!!
They looked up at me as if to say, "Yummy Yum Lyn, that was sooo much nicer than those dried old bones you usually give us! Any more?"
John's promised to make me some more... But enough of that. It's card time! And look, I've made one using my own digi. Most of Tuesday evening I was doodling. It turned out to be a dancing Leprechaun, but by the time I moved from the table, in the sitting room where I'd been drawing, to the hall... I was telling myself. Nope...he's no good. I quickly grabbed another bit of paper, it now being well past midnight, and scribbled this one out in about five minutes... plus the time tidying him up on the computer/Wacom.
I've 3D-ed him and the top bit of the mushroom, coloured with ProMarkers and added a bit of gold glitter to his 'gold'.
I really wanted to add a Good Luck charm or horse shoe, but didn't have any... (I hunted everywhere) even tried to make one using shrink-plastic...but it looked like a lost claw from some vulture-like bird. So I gave up on that idea and used the fiddle and the heart instead.
Freebies.? Well yes (of course) The Leprechaun digi, (until next week, scroll down to download him and join in with Spot The Difference and win a digi ) and the papers, and font. I just knew I had rainbow papers somewhere and remembered they came from Summer Drigg's fabulous blog. It's called, 'Owl Always Love Spring' kit and you can download it HERE
The font is called 'Black Boys On Mopeds' and you can download that HERE
Before I nip off to add those 'green' challenges I've found...
