Evening Crafty People! I'm late, I'm late!~For a very important date! Yes, you've guessed it! Alice in Wonderland! Today's been so busy I feel like I really have fallen down a rabbit hole! I'm here again with postcard No: 25 of #cerithecrafter's July challenge #gelypostcardplay, and this is one of my favourite stories! Of course it's completely impossible to get everything on one tiny postcard but I've tried my best!
The card started off being a blueish/purple colour with stencil shapes and wiggles, including those tear drops, which I changed into fish on card No:22, then I cut some dotty green geli-paper into a shape, which I added as 'grass' at the bottom, because I knew I needed a base for Alice to stand on. Then came the 'fun' part. Getting those tissue flamingos to stick over all that and stay where they were meant to go! Finicky birds, flamingos! yep, that went a bit wrinkley too, 'specilay the corner, but never mind. I found a leafy rose, which I'd stamped onto some red geli-rolled tissue and fixed it over the offending corner.
But that was a bit wrinkly too, so I decided to cover it with that little door. Then I had more 'fun' with Stamperia rub ons! Alice lost half of her head....the key wasn't too bad, but the smaller clock...well, I meant to do that! I cut the cat's head from a topper, then found an Alice wearing a crown...(Queen Alice) so I snipped that off her and popped it onto the other Alice's head, hiding the fact that she had no forehead...good cover up!
The little sign and I think the door, is from Lawn Fawn. I added the key at the top and the number 25 at the bottom, and that was it. Done! Yay! Wish I could've got the rabbit in there somewhere...I had visions of him sticking his head out from behind the door, and the Queen of Hearts shouting, 'off with his head!' Well, that's it from me today! Catch up tomorrow! Thank you for stopping by!
