Happy WOYWW!? I don't know how long this is going to last, me posting every day like I used to...but, I'm on a roll...not a ham roll or one of those ...well, you know what I mean. I've found, if I fill my head with loads of things to do, it's exhausting, but, on the good side, I'm not having so many meltdowns!
Up early...or to bed late, same difference, I've been playing, and I mean playing, with my GelPlate, as I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's fun! I've only got a few masks and stencils, mostly freebies from craft mags, but I have been collecting 'stuff.' Anyway! This so far, is what I did first thing before I realised...I needed breakfast!
Hunger hits me like a rock! And I have to eat....(and that doesn't mean, dipping a spoon into the Nuttella jar Lyn. Hmmm) So I'm linking up with Stamping Ground, today, from my kitchen! -I made some cards in the craft room in the week and I can't get in there now! Definitely no room to paint! I've just got two gel prints and two rollers and I'm using the paper that I have. That's it for now. See you over on Stamping Ground later! Thank you for stopping by.
The thing about gel plate printing is it can turn out fab stuff with very few supplies and very little experience! Check out Crooked Little Studio, I think is her handle on YouTube and tik tok. She does these great three random colour challenges with just a frond from some plant as her pattern thing. They are all lovely and very minimalistic. The most important thing? HAVE FUN! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's WOYWW day and I'm determined to be on time

ohoo will do! she sounds just what I need!
DeleteLooks to me as if you're doing exactly what the gel plate was invented for...playing and pulling great prints based on the 'try this, try that' technique. Looks great to me! Hope you had a good breakfast!
ReplyDeleteI copied someone who drew on theirs with a Posca pen but mine didn't work as well as hers...will keep practising!
DeleteWell done for playing with your geli plate, if I am not careful mine will disintegrate before I have used it! Happy WOYWW Angela #12
ReplyDeleteWell, I stared at mine for months! I bought them last year, all thanks to Ceri The Crafter, but I REALLY want to make some thing amazing!!
DeleteI love my Gel plate but when I get it out I can't stop, it's so addictive. Pleased you're enjoying using yours. Sending happy woyww hugs, Angela x9x
ReplyDeleteThank you Angela! I need more space to spread!
DeleteLooks like you are having fun with those gel plates and brayers Lyn. The nice thing about them is you can mark make with so many things before actually printing and they vwork with paint and ink. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2
ReplyDeleteThe Nutella comment made me smile! There is no better breakfast in my opinion, or snakc, lunch, dinner, pre-dessert... Glad you're having fun with the gel plate, I really must get mine out! Lisa-Jane #11 https://www.prettymypage.co.uk/
ReplyDeleteI sooo love Nutella....I stopped buying it for ages and then there it was on sale on the shelf at the supermarket...calling to me, a giant jar of yummmmmy chocolate!
DeleteI have never used my gel plate - I tried one at a class once and had to get one... its around here somewhere.... mind you there is no space for the prints to dry! Carry on playing and having fun. Looks like you're having some great "pulls" Happy WOYWW Helen #3
ReplyDeleteMy prints go everywhere, usually on the floor!
DeleteWell, you are off to a great start, rolling right along with your Gelli plate! I keep threating to start using mine again and seeing all the fabulous Gelli prints in the WOYWW hop may turn the threat into a reality!

DeleteWOW those papers are super. I really need to have a better play with my new gelli plate. Hugs BJ#15
ReplyDeleteGel plates are such super things . . .. I have an A4 size plate and managed to find an A4 size stamp . . . such variations on a theme that one can lose oneself for hours . . . . necessary sometimes . . . .
ReplyDeleteEnjoy
