It's What's On YOUR Worktop! #612

AAAAGH! It's Wednesday again!! And Welcome to WOYWW #112 My Golly-Gosh! Time is running wild! If you want to join in... Just click up there and you'll find yourself over on the Stamping Ground as if by magic. Simples!

This week it's about winnings, lost and found things and drawers. If you look on the shelf above, you'll see a bookmark (with horses) from our freezing swimming crafter Caro... I'd just found it under my desk, where it had fallen out from the back of one of the drawers, so I feel a bit of a fraud this week, as I was doing something crafty and then, I wasn't, coz I couldn't find my bank Card and the last time I used it was by my Laptop, buying stuff from The Works; found The Works loyalty card but no bank card. Decided it MUST've fallen down the back of the desk... soooo- I should think there's just as much stuff under by desk as well as stuff that's been pushed out and fallen down the back from the drawers. No way of getting to it, so of course the whole lot had to be pulled out. (and other stuff pushed out into the hall to make way) Anyway, never found the bank card... but there's still the rest of the craft room to go through yet!

Won two prizes last week, (and a top three) these lovely stamps and die-cut Gnomes from Crafty Hazels Christmas Challenge and some digi's from a Promarkers Challenge!

Had jab last Friday, fine until early Saturday morning and then I was suddenly shivering!  So the weekend ended up being a bit of a 'Catch up' with what's on the box weekend... which still leaves piles of crafty stuff on my desk and the drawers on floor, while I still hunt for that Bank Card....the one with the Black Horse on it.

And talking of drawers, Lady Pam went on a walk about again, first she said she was going to Sainsbury's and then, changed it to, going to a funeral... at 2:30 in the morning, in the dark with her pushy wheely thing! Luckily her neighbour's son saw her and brought her back. We tell her, probably not enough, to, 'Stay in Doors and Wear Your drawers!' (she laughs!) Her lovely carer Helen, took her out in the car the next day, down to the beach to watch the waves. Pam had her hot water bottle and they had ice cream!

That's it I think! Last picture shows stuff that come in the post, freebies from mags  and some of the other stuff lost at the back of my desk! (I needed those fairy lights at Christmas!!) So, if you don't feel like crafting, go dig out your drawers... you'll never know what you might find! Then go and visit Stamping Ground! Bye For now! Stay Safe!  Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Congratulations on your win! I have that stamp set with the dies and I love it!

I also saw a couple of my favorite Martha Stewart punches. I have five draws full of those punches. I need to revisit them. I don't really care about trends anymore. I am using my old stuff.

I hope you have a happy resolution to your bank card mystery. I am currently in search of my Driver's License and my State ID. The last time I had them was when I voted in January. Now, they are no where to be found. The Hubster says they are probably stuck in the middle of one of my paper stacks!

Have a great remainder of the week!

    Happy WoyWW!

  4. I do hope you find your bank card Lyn, although you will be saving money while it remains lost at least. It's funny what turns up once you start looking for something else. Congratulations on winning those prizes. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #11

  5. Oh hecky thump, sounds as if you need a big tidy up. Worrying not finding that bank card but I guess at least you know it is in the house. That puts a stop to pandemic shopping for the time being. A blessing in disguise.
Sorry to hear about Lady Pam, not really sure who she is in relation to you but she looks awfully sweet on her photo. Is it your mum?
Hope you find the card but in the meantime, stay safe and well
    Hugs, Neet 13 xx

  7. Well done on winning those prizes but i'm sorry to here about your bank card, I used mine as a paint scrapper last week by mistake as i'd been paying some online bills. I hope it just appears soon for you. Sounds like your weekend with the shivers was a good opportunity to relax in front of the TV, take care of yourself and I hope lady Pam stays where she should be, I have many tales to tell of wanderers having worked in many care homes.

  8. Morning Lyn. Oh what a beautiful fun post! I do so hope you find your bank card!! important if you absolutely NEED to get more stuff from the Works!! On hands and knees, to the back of the desk it will soon be, drawers to be sorted, etc., as I really must get my hall stairs and landing decorated! EEK. Great prizes there on your desk. I used to enjoy entering Hazel's challenges - must start again before too long! Thanks for reminding me about them.
    Take care. God bless.

  9. Ah Lyn, my Mum used to do the middle of the night wandering, it seems an age ago in the story of her progressive dementia, but I won’t ever forget the far it gave my Dad, or the kindness of strangers who saw her wandering a busy road at 4am. Your desk is a picture, and the madness of losing the bank card, oh I feel for you. I find myself looking in the same place because I’m convinced about where I had it last, and I’m often wrong. You did check that you didn’t put it straight back into your purse, didn’t you?! Good luck on the hunt. The gnome set is sweet, they seem to be big in stamping right now, I’ve got a couple of woodware gnome stamps by Francoise, and I see Hotchpotch Tracey is showing one on her desk today.

  11. Happy WOYWW. Hope that bank card turns up soon. One thought - have you put it away where it should be, in your wallet?! I struggle to be creative (or just live) with mess around me, so regularly have a good tidy and clear out of my craft room. Been selling some stash again (stuff that was given to me to test/review and I knew that I wouldn't use again) and there will be more going (a local lady who is new to cardmaking contacted me, and she is buying whatever I no longer want). Congrats on the prizes. I might enter some more challenges soon - I miss that side of crafting. Ali x #26

  12. I hate losing stuff - it's such a waste of time spending hours looking and so annoying. Now Lyn - not heard about your Lady Pam before. Just wondered if she would like a twiddle mitt. If you think it would be useful send me a colour/theme and I will make one specially. xx Jo

  13. I hope you do find that bank card! Is is possible that you accidentally threw it away? I have had several stencils go missing and the only way I can imagine is that I threw them out somehow. Look in between stacks of paper - it might be hiding there somewhere! Congrats on your wins - those stamps are pretty cute! xx zsuzsa #27

  14. Yay, nice to win something that is going to be useful and well used! Sorry you didn’t find your bank card but lots of other things which might come in handy. My hubby felt really rough after his first jab, very achy and fluey for a couple of days.

  15. LOL! Love that sentiment about staying indoors! Totally with you on the "move one thing and the rest of the house needs moving too". Nothing is ever simply move one thing and that's the end of it! Loving those mushroom / toadstool stamps. Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #14

  16. It's always lovely to win something and they look great fun. I'm sure the card will turn up. My hubby is terrible when he looses stuff he takes the whole house to pieces. I have tried to teach him to back track on stuff but it's hard work. It's good that you are feeling a bit under the weather after the jab as it's a sign that your body is building up the antibodies you need to fight off the Virus. Have a lovely week and happy woyww, Angela x19x

  17. Hi Lyn, congratulations on your wins! It’s so hard when a relative wanders. My Mum had a phase of that. She was living 250 miles away in sheltered accommodation with onsite carers. I ended up fitting a detector to her door, linked to my phone, so I could phone the carers when she went out alone. Btw can you suspend your card from an app till you find it? If so it will give you a bit of piece of mind.
Take care, stay safe and happy WOYWW

  18. Hi Lyn, I hope your card has turned up in the piles since then. That just about freezes my brain reading that one and its not even mine. Love the colors on those gnome pieces too :) ~Stacy #34

  19. Well done on your prizes Lyn. As more and more are getting the vaccine, the end of this awful situation looks to be in sight. Although I don’t think it will completely go away. Good luck with finding your bank card it is so frustrating when you can’t find things. Happy WOYWW Angela #31

  20. Oh I would be in a blind panic if I couldn't find my bank card! But lovely to find stuff isn't it - like my birds. Then watch the ripples - now Julia made birds! Maybe I should clean under MY desk lol! Did you get the AZ jab? Literally everyone I know who got that one had the same flu-y miserable feeling for days, up to a week, after the jb. I had the Pizer one and nothing bu a sore arm and a bit of an itch. NOW I am worried that means it isn't working! How funny. Congrats on your win - I never win stuff but then maybe because I think I never win so I never really enter. Sorry I'm late but yesterday was madness!

Oh no! I'm late for WOYWW!

  21. Hi there. Thanks for popping by. Glad you liked the purple lol Your post has made me chuckle. Hope bank card turns up! I 'lost' a card after shopping athme Regis even I visited mum some years ago. We trudged all way back up the hill calling in all shops I had been in. On point of phoning company to cancel card. One last check in my purse. There it was! I swear it wasn't there first time I looked! Take care. Anne x 37

  22. Well done with the tidying up, even if it was because of stuff falling down behind. I hope the bank card has turned up. It's really inconvenient to lose them! I remember once putting mine on the conveyor belt with my shopping in the supermarket, and it disappeared inside the housing of the conveyor belt! It was highly embarrassing because there was a great queue behind me that had to be diverted to another checkout while they called an engineer who demolished the whole thing in order to retrieve my card! Ooops.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  25. Thanks for your return visit, Lyn, and I'm glad you enjoyed the kitties and my various bits and pieces. Sorry you are struggling with your non-dairy milk and the absence of sugar. I remember when I was a teenager, giving up sugar in coffee and it took me a year not to pull a face at the first bitter mouthful each time! I couldn't go back now, though. I adore my home-made almond milk in both tea and coffee, but my hubby prefers the bought almond milk which has a lot less flavour. Each to their own! Non-dairy is certainly much healthier for you.

Hope to see you later today on the next WOYWW!
