It's Wednesday. It's WOYWW #611. Please come and join in, over on Stamping Ground, even though it's a very sad WOYWW this week, but don't be sad, she'll be crafting with the Angels, showing them how's it's done! Sending hugs to all who knew her, in the real world and in Blogland.
I have one more dineosour to do, and then little Oliver will have a nice surprize in the post. I moved the mess back a bit as I had a delivery from 'The Works'. About 5 things I wanted were swiped from my basket as I took too long (days actually!) My fault, must have pressed the wrong button as it kept saying 'that email is already in use' Course it is, it's me! Never mind, I have a money off thingy to use next time and a nice big box to cut up and make into something!
I made this tiny little book using one sheet from a 6x6 paper pack from Craft Box called 'The Dreamer' and another little bit to cover the cover (The Card for that was from a 'Jordon's Crunchy Crisp with Strawberries' cereal packet) The booklet has little pockets, which I haven't filled with anything yet. Apart from that, I finished off another Christmas Card and I 'played' with an old CD but...that's not quite turned out as I wanted it...so. Hubby took one look at it, and said, "Don't try and play that now, it'll ruin the machine!" Hmmm, as if I would! Anyway. Here's a closer look at the little book... sorry about the dim and slightly plurred picture. A link to one of the little noteletts in a case is HERE. If you'd like to see them. (Some folks said they were looking forward to that post) Some more noteletts are coming up later.
That's it for this week. Hubby's had his Jab yesterday and I've got mine on Friday. He said it's painless. Stay Safe! Thank you for stopping by!
Not sure if the last one went through or not as I had an internet glitch. Glad the jabs are rolling out for you. Stay safe. Sarah #6
ReplyDeleteThat usually happens to me - losing my place because of the password. They are such a pain, different ones for different things, some with this in and some with that. Still, you have some credit now and can have a real good spend next time.
ReplyDeleteGlad you retained your fingers and the dinosaurs are ready to go off.
Good luck with the jabs but it really does not hurt at all.
Hugs, Neet 17 xx
Love your little book and the idea of Shaz "crafting with the angels" makes me smile. Good luck with your jab! Enjoy your delivery, even if it wasn't exactly what you planned originally.
ReplyDeleteHugs to all on a sad WOYWW day.

Oooh - love those little dineosaurs, and the book is V Cute...
ReplyDeleteI've shared more photos of that "horse and stable" from last week's blog for you.... go check it out ;)

Hooray for getting the jab, one step closer to resuming a Normal life....well, I say normal..... ;-) I’m glad you’ve enjoyed making the dinosaurs and that you still have all your fingers!
ReplyDeleteHugs LLJ 9 xxx
Shaz sure will be crafting with Angels how lucky are they. Rip Shaz. Those dino's are very precious for a little precious..
ReplyDeleteBest wishes on Friday, you will be fine.
Hugs Tracey #3
P.S Don't forget to find that lino and cutters out xx
That little book is so cute! And well done for keeping all your fingers. I did laugh at Shaz showing the angels how it's done - I can just imagine them all rushing off to put a few extra things in their baskets from the craft shop! Much love on this difficult day, Lisa-Jane #7
ReplyDeleteThat book is so sweet, looks beautifully made. I know what you mean about craft knives, I have a super one that came from B&Q several years back, and it takes replaceable blades, so I can always have a sharp knlife.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing

I love your little book - I have that same paper collection as well. I've scanned it in, so I don't have to use the real thing LOL! I only use the real papers for stroking! Love the mental image of Shaz crafting with angels - I imagine her in a big room surrounded by craft supplies - anything she desires xx zsuzsa #31
ReplyDeleteShhh! I do that sometimes too! Some papers I can't imagine being with out! They are soooo lovely!
DeleteWell done on the dino front - they will be loved I'm sure. The little book looks good - a great bit of recycling. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteHi Lyn. Gorgeous little book - and I sneaked a look at the notelets and the "how to". What a lovely idea.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.
Margaret #29
They are so lovely! As I said, I've made a few now, every one measured slightly differently!
DeleteAww your little book is lovely. Such a lovely image of Shaz showing the Angels how to create beautiful things :) take care xx soojay 32
ReplyDeleteDinosaurs - when I was teaching pre-school we used to say dinosaurs were the international language of children. We had a couple of Japanese boys join us, they had only been in Canada a day or so and spoke no English, but once those dinosaurs came out, they were happy, and could communicate with the other children over dinosaurs! The little book is very cute as well.
ReplyDeleteShaz, is as you say, surely showing the angels how it's done! Such a sad moment in our WOYWW adventure, but we are all better for knowing her. Lindart #35
Lyn, goodness knows with all that cutting, I'd be tuckered out!!! LOL That's quite a few, mind you! LOL No slight against hubby, but isn't funny how they just speak as though we have lost our minds???? LOLOL We know very well of sharp implements anddddd.....that, that now altered CD CANNOT be played again!!! LOLOL Bless him!!!! No disrespect, I just thought that was too funny!!! Love your "little" journal. I have made one like that and really surprised myself that I could come up with something so small and it turn out alright! LOL Blessings to you and have a great rest of your week! Felicia #34
ReplyDeleteNone taken! He knows me so well! I had to tell him the CD was just a kind of blank topper not actually a real playing CD, but even saying that, he still had to remind me not to try and play it!
DeleteI love that little book - it's so sweet. Great news about the jabs, one step closer to normality. I smiled at the image of Shaz showing the Angels how to craft.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week,
Diana xx #22
Great news on the jabs front. That little book is just delicious Lyn, you are a very patient gal, that sort of fiddly would have me raging! Made me laugh about using your husband’s Stanley knife. As soon as I ask where it is, my Man gets a bit wary about what I want it for. Guarantees that I don’t have to do the cutting of whatever it is though, because I get so cross when he keeps telling me to mind my fingers that I just stop and tell him to do it!!
ReplyDeleteOne sheet of 6 x 6 paper? I need to know how you made that cute little book! Is it concertina style or sewn? That was a lot of work with the dinosaurs. Angela #21
ReplyDeleteI first saw it done with a 12x12 piece of paper years back but forgot how, then came across a couple of Youtube videos. the hardest bit is working out where to put the glue or the thin tape! you do it the same way with the 6x6 papers as you do the 12x12. Urio by b-spoke was one of them. ( talks very slow!)I'll pop back to your blog to add a link
Deletewell done on the jab date! still waiting for mine but sure it won't be long! love the little book, so cute! Helen #2
ReplyDeleteNeat booklet! I didn't notice it had a mermaid on the front until I clicked to enlarge it. So glad you didn't cut yourself; that takes talent to use cutters that well! Glad you and hubby got jabs; that's awesome!
ReplyDeleteYes, a mermaid on the front and a Unicorn on the back!
DeleteI love your tiny book! Although I have not made a tiny book in years, I think they are the most fun.
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear that you still have your fingers.
Hugz,
Chana Malkah #36
I think Shaz will also be encouraging the angels to experiment with hair colour, and asking what's with all the white clothes?? I did smile at the comment from your hubby when using his sharp knife - my hubby would just ask what did I need cutting, and then do it himself. He definitely wouldn't let me loose, as he's the paramedic that would have to clean up the blood, and deal with the severed digits! Take care, hugs Heather xx #19
ReplyDeleteI started off okay today with the visits, walked dogs and went into the cabin and now I don't know where the time went to! Shaz will never have really left us because her blog will keep her alive for us and I can tell you it wont be the last time I pop over there for some ideas when I get stuck, God Bless her. Loving your dinosaurs. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela,x18x
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the jabs!
ReplyDeleteLove your little book - from a page of 6 by 6?
Also plaesed you still have your fingers after cutting the dinosaiurs...

Your little book is adorable, and I am glad that the dinosaurs didn't nip your fingers off. It's been a sad, sad week, hasn't it. We shall all miss our lovely Shaz so much.
