What's On Your WorkTop Wednesday #609...or it could still be Tuesday...

Yes, but no, even though it was Ground Hog Day yesturday, it's Wednesday! And time to nip over to the Stamping Ground and join in with the longest blog hop ever! Probably! I'm going to be quick to day (Really? Is that Possible?) And as there's nothing of interest going on, on my worktop... (hubby sez show 'em the kitchen and the flippin' hall) Shhh!

I've at last finished doing granddaughter Niamh and her friend some notelets, (I'll blog about them later and add a link)  and a little mini album for Niamh (and I have a horrid feeling I didn't take a finished picture)  using the papers on the top there. I've also been making boxes to put things in, to post off. Done that. Our village Post Office has gone, it's a long work to the next village or a short drive into town... no way José! So, we drove to the other village. And then the power stearing went on the car... just like that, not like that, but, just like that.

Oho. Here comes the cat, Hello Jinx! I also had a go at covering this ummm? what's it called?? coaster!  with a spider's web tissue... only I think I should've painted it white not black, because you couldn't see the web at all! I have more...

I've also covered another broken biscuit-box to house my stamps in. I never realised how hard it is to be so busy! And not actually have anything to show for it!
Got this die from a charity  shop before Christmas, it was only 50p. but, what is it...just a bit of diecutting frilliness, anyone know? I've been pushed out of my seat by the said Mr Jinx who looks a bit shocked (He had to climb over boxes of stuff to get to me coz I'm using the floor again.) That's it! Come and join in WOYWW over on the Stamping Ground!
Bye for now!

Mr Jinx looking a bit stunned and squashed coz I was sitting there too!

  3. Lots of sorting going on there, it seems to be a common thread for this lockdown among us crafters! No idea what the frilly die is but it looks like a lovely doily combo to house a title / sentiment of some sort over the top? Maybe? Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #2

    1. I've found out what the die is, and it's missing a bit, but as you say, who cares! I think I'll SteamPunk it!

    2. so what was the die? And what bit is missing? Do share next week! (Otherwise it's like asking someone how you keep an idiot in suspense, and then saying "I'll tell you tomorrow" hehehe)

  5. My usual problem is that I start a project and then think of another and start that and before you know it there's lots going on and nothing gets finished. Interesting die but can't think what the original plan was for it. Sorry to hear about the car and hope it gets fixed soon. Hugs for Jinx too. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x16x

  6. Mr Jinx looks as he knows who rules the roost in your house! He’s defying you to get him off his perch there, lol! I’m glad you’re having fun creating and sorting, the notebooks sound sweet and I’m sure will be loved greatly.
    Hugs LLJ 6 xx

  7. Hi Lyn. Ouch! That sounds like it could be an expensive garage bill... Hope it isn't too bad! I'm with Lisa Jane - no idea what that die really is - but... I'm sure your lovely creative brain will work out something to do with it - and for only 50p. The colour of the die possibly suggests Spellbinders?
    Take care. God bless.

  10. Mr Jinx looks as if he has found space to rest. I frequently think Ihave spent hours doing something with little to show until the project is finished. Have a great week Angela #17

  11. Sorry about your car! I hope that is resolve without huge expense. I'm trying to cover old cigar boxes to hold my Washi tape collection. I completely understand what it feels like to work and work but not have a creative project to show. Sometimes life is simply about maintenance!

  14. Fab post - a busy desk, certainly! Shame about your car - mine has cost a fortune in the last 12 months but we can't afford to replace it just yet. At the moment we have no heat pump for the heating/air con and have been quoted £350 for a new one! Yikes. Need to source a second hand one from somewhere...

  15. That's lock down all over - very busy but nothing to show for it! I love the die - it looks a little steampunk to me in a wwird sort of way. I do hope your car feels better soon without too much of a medical bill. Love Mr Jinx - he looks like he's really owning that spot now he's got it!
Have a good week, stay safe and well,

  16. Lots of activity going on there - and I'm sorry to hear about your car problems, which I hope don't turn out too expensive. Jinx is a beautiful kitty! I nearly squashed Lily a lot worse than that the other day when I nearly sat on her!! I managed to stop myself just in time when the settee didn't feel quite right! Ruby always likes lying on top of her because she's so soft but I don't think she'd have survived the full weight of Shoshi even despite all my weight loss lol!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  17. Thanks for your return visit, Lyn, and your episode of the single grape made me laugh! Typical! I hope you didn't eat it all at once. I thought I'd ordered 3 courgettes once, and they sent 3 packs of courgettes - far too many for me to deal with, so they had to go back! Tesco is pretty good at returns with no questions asked.

Sorry you are struggling to train your new computer to your way of thinking. What my dad used to say about anything that didn't behave, you need to take it down to the bottom of the garden and give it a good thrashing to show it who's boss!

Our kitties tell us what they want in no uncertain terms. They have completely different voices for different things, Ruby especially. She makes the most unpleasant noise when she's demanding feeding - as hard to ignore as a crying baby!!

    Have a great week,

  19. I certainly know what you mean about being so busy with nothing to show for it! Feels like my default setting. The die is pretty, think it needs to be embossed to show up all the detail - looks like a spellbinder to me but no idea what it might be for!! Sorry to hear about the car what a pain! Our PO is only up the road and I still moan about going there. Happy bleated WOYWW , stay safe, stay well, Cindy #19

  20. Hello Mr Jinx! Aren't you adorable! Groundhog Day was when my DD moved into her new house, wouldn't that be a horrible thing to do day after day! I know the feeling of being busy and not really having anything to show for it. But you do seem to be busy, and that's great! Stay safe and warm, Lindart #33
