What's On MY Worktop This Wednesday?! #610

Well, that would be telling, wouldn't it! So I'll show you some pictures instead!  But First, nip over to Stamping Ground and join in, it's easy! Even I can do it!

As you can see, my desk is tidy-ish  Or nearly empty. I'm in the middle of doing this weeks digi and watching a crafty lady on YouTube. I've had a good tidy up of my end wall peg-board, the bench is bit empty looking as my BigShots' are probably on the bed in the spare room.

To answer questions from last week; first the die. I put the picture of that die on one of the Face Book crafty pages and they were most helpful and even found pictures... It should have another bit. It's an Anne Griffin Cuttlebug Fretwork 1 Metal cut and emboss die. And here's a pic from the internet. (I didn't make the card!)

Next, the car and it's steering. Hubby Googled it and it appears that some Citroen C3's suddenly get this fault. So, if the car is under 10 years old, which it is, just  take it to a main dealer Citroen Garage (who didn't know anything about this) and the big guys at Citroen Head Office will pay for it to be done! Free of Charge!) Which they did! Super! Of course the day we had to take it in, some bright spark chose to close all the roads leading to and coming from the garage and it took us, (me in my van and John in the car) twice as long to find a way to get there! Traffic was chaotic! Now, if they'd closed the road in the first lockdown, the roads were empty, not a sauage about (but of course the garage would've been closed too!)

It's nearly half past two in the morning,  (actually it was five o' clock once I'd finished the freebie) Then I got an email from 'gofile' with a link to the freebie! so will go do that now, it's10.30 bet it doesn't work! (only jpeg) My desk will be completely messed up by two this afternoon, as I'm going to be doing something with an old CD...oops Jinx has just come in...better go! Thanks for popping by! Come and join in with WOYWW!? See you there.

**Quick Up date.  One last added picture as I'm still here... Oliver (grandson) video linked me to draw him some dineosaurs, stick them on cardboard, cut them out so he can draw round them and post them to him. So here they are Oliver...they'll be stuck on cardboard and in the post as soon as they're done! GRrrRRrrr!

  1. Ha! I love those dinosaurs! What a great idea for him. I've seen so many lovely relationships maintained over various tech with grandparents and godparents etc reading and drawing with their little people. Definitely hugs all around today, Lisa-Jane #10

  4. Awww. Distance grandmothering. So sweet! You have a lot of stamina if you can manage to stay up and stay productive like that - me? I want my bed by 10:30, although I am usually awake by 5am.

Lucky you got the freebie repair - but even more important that the steering fail didn't result in an injury!!

And the die is really lovely. I'm sure any card you make will rival the sample.

    Happy WOYWW!

  6. Your Grandma Kudos will soar after that quick dino turnaround, lol! Hope Oliver has a lot of fun with them, wonder what he’ll request next time? Hooray for getting your car mended for free, blimey that doesn’t happen very often. I’m glad that you got to the bottom of the unknown die too!
    Hugs LLJ 9 xx

  7. You were up until 5 in the morning? Crazy woman! I've just visited your FB page and saw some picture of Jinx - he's so beautiful! Truly majestic! Is he a special breed? We've noticed as well that there's much more traffic in this lockdown than the first one - people are just not taking it as seriously. Hope you'll get more sleep tonight! zsuzsa #24

  8. Lovely post, Lyn! Your cut-out dinosaurs are brilliant and are sure to score a hit with Oliver. My Godmother used to make me things to use to make things myself - I think she was a very important influence on my creativity in my early formative years! Kids so love to be encouraged with such things.

I hope you get the missing piece for that die. It's really pretty.

I'm so glad the car problem was sorted free of charge, but what a sweat getting there to do it! Poor you.

Thank you for visiting. I nearly lost your comment because I returned to my computer to find that Ruby had tried editing it!!! She's always walking over the keyboard of my laptop these days and altering things. I managed to retrieve it OK though. I'm glad you like the latest cat face - perhaps it will grow on me but it didn't come out quite how I wanted, after all those hours of frustrating work! People do seem to like it, though. My breakfast smoothie bowls are brilliant. I'm going to make another one tomorrow. I am maintaining a steady, healthy weight with my whole-food plant-based lifestyle. I lost a lot of weight doing the 5:2 (intermittent fasting) diet over several years, which wasn't much fun, and when I gave that up in favour of WFPB I continued to lose weight by eating as much as I want - just the right stuff, real food!! At one time I never thought I'd be slim again but I've lost a total of 5 stone. And I don't exercise. Actually, you can't exercise away a bad diet!

    Happy WOYWW,

PS Just noticed your comment about Spam - lol! Brilliant.

  13. The dinosaurs are a great idea - I don't know a child who doesn't love dinoasaurs! Glad you got your car sorted and for free too - that was lucky, and highly unusual too.

  14. You are such a versatile artist. I nearly wrote drawer, but you dont want to be one of those!! Your grandson will be thrilled with the images, and what a good idea the templates are! Isn’t the internet great, to provide a solution to the die and even point you in the direction of a pic. So will you use it now? The missing bit won’t hurt a design really, will it?! Constantly amazed by your (lack of) sleep pattern, I just don’t know how you manage. Great news about the car.

  17. Great dinosaurs, my friend's daughter's 5th birthday is today and it's dinosaurs all round.

Your story about the dog murderer was not unlike what my mother said about my new husband when I was so sick during pregnancy. She said he was trying to poison me. She is so toxic! How has it taken me so long to get away from her! Nice to see you geocaching, you can always just photograph the log book if it's too wet to sign, and initial nano ones (the tiny ones). Thanks for the visit BJ#18

  18. Hi Lyn. Great dinosaurs for your grandson! How lovely that he wanted you to draw them for him - and then, of course, make the templates... So glad you found out more about that die - I'm sure you will use it. A grand tidy - I love your peg board!! Wow - good news re the car - all sorted, and a still solvent bank account! - win, win.
    Take care. God bless.

  19. Hi Lyn, I'm late this week getting round everyone as mum is in a nursing home and we had to take her some stuff yesterday as well as going for our vaccine. I thought I stayed up late to craft but you've beaten me Lol! Loving the dinosaurs. Wishing you a very happy belated woyww, Angela x18x

  20. HI Spyder! What a beautiful die, it's always nice to see what other people do with dies like that! Glad you got your car sorted out, funny that the Citroen garage didn't know anything about the problem!
How nice that you are Grandson's go to person for crafty things!
In regards to your comment on mine - I have 2 sewing machines, both have given up the ghost and need repairing since I started using them for paper. I don't know if that is the reason they are broken, other people seem to be using theirs with no problem on paper. Probably they are both just old. The first one I got when I was about 16, and the other one when I was in my 30's, so both are over 30 years old! The tags are supposed to be hand stitched, and those that can do. I used to be able to but with my eyes and hands it's much more difficult! Thanks for your visit, have a good week, and stay safe, Lindart #32

  24. I am grinning that you were able to get the dino's done for him and that is fun. ( my mil just got an iPhone and it only took me 7 months to convince her ( and one facetime call with her oldest dgd & her youngest dd to do it.) :) that is a gorgeous die too. ~Stacy #37
