I really want to have a go at Ceri the Crafters July- #Gelypostcardplay... so that's a post card sized bit of art, every day throughout July. I'm not home at the moment, not until this has all started but I do have a few crafty things with me, glue, bit of 12x12, white acrylic paint, some ink to stamp with and, a small bag of til receipts...
I've now cut the 12x12 into six postcard size bits of card, ready to start adding other things and some paint pulls off from my Geli plate.Ceri's already stated on his and has a 'conveyor belt' style, of loads of geli printing he has in his stash all in piles ready to use! Even if I don't actually join in, I can always turn them into ATC's, belly bands, tuck spots, tags, tabs or pockets. Or, as my brother-law-would say, add them to the skip pile!😂 But I don't plan on dying just yet! I have too many things to finish! Thank you for stopping by!Friday, 21 June 2024

It's A Wednesday FREEBIE!
Just in time for a Wednesday Freebie! Here's Scruffy Dog...although he did start off as a fox... scanned in first thing this morning, a very quick scribble, to my laptop from my new printer/scanner. They seem to like each other, (the printer and the laptop I mean) Go HERE to download him and if you do, and fancy doing something with him, you'll be up for another freebie of your choice. Comment if you can. No saving anywhere without a watermark, but a link back here is always welcome! Thank you for stopping by!
What's on your WorkTop Wednesday!? #785-Lots of bits!
And what's on my Worktop? This was on mine, but it's now all packed up, and in my case, so I can have a play with it while I'm here. It's a freebie from VectoriaDesigns. There's even a tutorial on YouTube on how to put it together.
My old printer has finally given up the ghost, so...I bought a new printer, Yay!! It's sooo good, being able to print again! So I've printed out loads of digi papers and will spend any spare time, while I'm here, making up some little folders. This one above is the Gentleman Cats. I didn't do it as described. I first made the little specimen folders smaller... cut out the window, then made a tag that fitted inside the window and added the pussy cat gentlemen...
Then I watched the tutorial again and started with the printing of the gentlemen cats on to acetate then printed out the specimen folders to the right size... Will show you next week, how it all turns out...(No you won't!) If you can't wait, here's a link to a quicky Look! And another to the main, 'how to' tutorial and don't forget,The Gentlemen Cats downloads are freebies! That's all from me for now! Happy WOYWW pop over to Sarah's Craft Shed and join in! Thank you for stopping by!
T for Tuesday...just a little late
Hello! I'm Late T for Tuesday, (join in over on alteredbooklover) including last week as well... aw well, never mind. I'm not here, I'm somewhere else, house/dog sitting, which is why I've been awol for ages and because last week was John's birthday week and I wasn't really in the right place to blog. So I booked a slot to take rubbish to the tip instead...oohooo... in the car- (John will be really moaning at me!) they still want me to pay if I use my van, even though I paid for 12 visits last year and only used one... meanies. So, once that was booked, I just did the garden. (The pots in the background had just arrived for Amazon) The weeds are still winning, after that, a bit of cutting and glueing, (with paper, not weeds) probably going to add that to my WOYWW post later. I still managed to take photo's of my boring breakfast... including last weeks...waffle waffle....(fast forward if you like...) more waffle. So you're not going to get out of seeing that!
Last weeks breakfast |
AND!! I even have some from last week, coz I miss you all... I tried the Alpro Oat milk, as daughter came over and being Vegan, doesn't drink cows milk... Coudn't waste it, have tried it before but went back to 'normal' milk, but tried it on my Shreddies, and it wasn't half bad!
I love those little Tea for One teapots, and if I see one in a charity shop, I usually buy it... This one was as cheap as chips... My cold drink today was Mixed Berries, nice. (It's still made from different teas. No sugar)
The best icecream ever! |
Well, that's it for now... I'll just leave you with one last picture. Hope you've had a great week so far! Happy T day...Thank you for stopping by.

What's on YOUR WorkTop Wednesday!?#783 A bit of Edwardian Diary
Hi it's later...very much later... I got waylaid, and hours and hours have flown by... and I haven't been able to 'play' yet, so I'll just show you the pictures I took earlier...
The tag I made a while back using pages from Edith's book, inked up with added labels and a flower.
Jumping forward a bit...Here's another bargain of the week, this little black swivel thingy from the charity shop, was a fiver. In the background you can just see the larger white one I also bought a few years back for £4 also from the charity shop. Then my box of tags.

Back from being away House/dog sitting over the weekend, this was todays breakfast and back to drinking the Elderflower and lemonaid, made from different teas. And, lookie see, no crafty mess in the background for once... Now, My Bargain of the Week, has to be 'The Concise British Flora in Colour', book. Bought form a Charity shop.

Oh a Bit of dOOdling- An Always Freebie!
What day is it today!? I don't know...anyway, I haven't done any freebies for ages as I haven't been home or had my printer/scanner with me. And as I'm rubbish at drawing straight onto my laptop, I just couldn't come up with anything that didn't look as if a two year old had drawn it. So, I've done this; 'It's Just O's' It's going to be an always freebie, so do with it as you wish. It's just doodling, and quite honestly, very therapeutic! Have a go! So Happy Always Freebie on a Monday! Just click and save. Thank you for stopping by!
Here's A Purple one...
And a coloured one.

Sunny Saturday! Tom's belated Birthday Card!
It was son-in-law's birthday a little while back, I did go to his birthday party the week before but didn't get to see him on his birthday as was busy, doing other things for other people. Lesson learnt! Don't do other things for other people coz you'll just have a melt down. Which I did! Less said on that...back to Tom's Card!!
As you can see, I've used the Lawnfawn Magic Iris diecut, which I bought from Craftstash, when there was a little bit off. (Plus 10% for being a VIP) Always wanted one, got one, and then didn't use it til now! Probably coz I thought I'd make a hash of it.
So, I made a 'practise' one first, cos there were a few swear words... but it was ok in the end! A lot easier than I thought it would be! As you can see, I've made one of my favourite cards. What I call, 'make up your mind' fun fold card. (As it's two cards, one opens one way and the other card opens the other way...) I Covered it in the muddest backing paper I could find, as Tom loves running marathons...including the big mud marathon, then added loads of cogs, wheels, and clocks, very simular to his 40th birthday card seen here (Oh! er...I nearly used that same blue clock backing paper!) There is a difference, the Magic Iris on the front.... open it up and there's the hidden 50th coloured (with Promarkers) sticker inside.
The Back, showing pocket for birthday money |
The back holds a pocket with a little homemade envelope containing birthday money. Normally if there's a pressy there's no birthday money! (Well, you're only 50 once, aren't you!) Anyway, Tom liked his birthday pressy so much, he stripped off in the carpark where we all met up and put it on! (Shoulda taken a Picture!) There's more pictures of Toms fabulous birthday cake on a T for Tuesday Post, he didn't get his card then, because, basically... I hadn't finished it! and I forgot his pressy. (So many holes in my head, things just keep falling out!) Well, that's it from me. Hoping to find some challenges! Thank you for stopping by!!
