It's a WOYWW day, so hop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in! I've been turning my home inside out all week looking for a small white folded envelope with thirty pounds in it. I remember taking said envelope and putting in down while I very quickly nipped out to say hello to a doggy friend who'd come to visit. I then remember moving the envelope to.....Where? Haven't a clue! So, this week I have been going over and into everything in my crafty room to find this white envelope. I even searched the recycle bin in the kitchen...twice... hold that thought. As you can see there's not much happening on my bench this week. (John's finished card from the other week is HERE) and I'm still looking for a die cut letter 'A' that's mysteriously gone missing. Yep, I checked my magnets to see if it got suck there and no, it hadn't. I found some stamps without a home, so put them all together in a small Really Useful Box and will slowing put them back where they should be. I bought Die Cutting Esentials magazine this week coz I really liked the look of the dies. And some 12x12 papers from the Range. (first time in there for nearly two years!) And there's this weeks freebie Robot before I changed his head! A week had passed and still no white envelope... hubby reminded me on Monday that it was garden waste day on Tuesday... So off I went to fetch the hedge cutters and the green garden waste bags. There was a bit off brown messy debris in the bottom of one of the bags. I shook it and then frowned... who put that in there, that's not garden waste! It was a bit of paper, half hidden... a white folded envelope... and inside, a bit damp....was thirty pounds. So it had been in the garden recycle bag all week... How?? I haven't a clue. Odd that my brain had been telling me to check the recycle bin in the kitchen though, Hmm? I promise more actual crafting next week... in the meantime, check out Stamping Ground and see what the other woywwers have been up to! Thank you for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteHi Lyn, I am so glad you found the envelope and the money inside, even if a little damp! It is so frustrating when you know “it must be somewhere”. Happy WOYWW and have a great week Angela #7
ReplyDeleteOh that cute little visitor ! So glad you found your envelope. I've had that happen and it's scary. But I too am missing my A wanted to add a name to an envelope and I've searched to no avail yet Enjoy a great week
ReplyDeleteSO glad that envelope turned up before it went out with the recycling Lyn. Lola is cute! Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #9
ReplyDeleteGlad you found the money! our mind does funny things to us... we've all been there with the "I know it put it somewhere!" Happy WOYWW Helen #11
ReplyDeleteI spent hours tonight looking for the letter N, and finally found it. It seems we spend so much time looking for something, then when we find it, we wonder how it got where it did. At least your story turned out with a very happy ending.
ReplyDeleteLola is a little doll. Happy WOYWW from # 12.
Sweet little Lola! had to smile at your story about the money…I was going to comment that I’ve done the same, looked a million times in the same area, emptied it practically, only to find it wasn't even the right area to be fixed on. Glad it’s all turned out though, however strangely! Am liking the robot, is that the changed head or the new head? a words you never thought you’d type, I can tell you!!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. Glad you found that envie and the £30. What on earth was it doing in a garden recycling bag?! A mystery that will never be solved. Lola is so cute. Chihuahua is a breed that I always wanted. I must admit that being without a dog is difficult at times, but I am also enjoying the freedom (simple things like leaving the front door open on a nice day). Ali x #15
ReplyDeleteI can imagine the frustration looking for that envelope but a blessing you found it. The robot image looks very cute as does Lola. Our dog goes into her crate when she has had enough of us hee hee.. Happy WoywW Tracey x
ReplyDeleteHow on earth did it send up in the garden recycling??! Hooray for finding it though, at least the new notes are plasticky and can be saved. I hope you spend it on something frivolous after all that angst!!
ReplyDeleteHugs LLJ 14 xx
LOL! My dad used to tell me to recite the little poem "Dear Saint Anthony, please come around. Something is lost and cannot be found" but the recycling bin?? How odd. I love the "glamour shot" of Lola - quite cute, as is the robot!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

Enjoy your visit from Lola! She looks like butter wouldn’t melt, she’s not above “recycling” for you, is she? It’s so frustrating when you mislay things. I swear there are black holes here.
ReplyDeleteTake care and happy WOYWW

Thank goodness you found it! I know the problems of being 'distracted' and then . . .
ReplyDeleteI have decided not to buy anymore stash as I won't be able to use all that I have . . . . please feel free to make a note of the date I said that cos the die cutting mag is one of my favourites!!!
have a good week

Hope to get your parcel posted off later this week, I haven't forgotten, it's ready to go.
That is bizarre - that money is destined for craft stash I think!! I keep seeing that mandala die everywhere - I think I am going to fold it's really calling to me. I really don't need it but.... better go and check the recycling bin...Have a good week, stay safe, stay well, love n hugs Cindy #18
ReplyDeleteEveryone seems to have doggy photos this week! So cute! Lucky you found the £30 - I have things going missing all the time - I think I just absent mindedly misplace things and don't even get me started on missing stamps or dies - that's what we get for being disorganised! Guilty as charged! Must check out that magazine! Happy WOYWW! xx zsuzsa #31
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you found the envelope, although was a mystery that it ended up in the garden waste bag! I love your house guest, isn't she a sweetie pie.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week,
Diana xx #28
Your sweet visitor made all the previous out of sorts.....almost worth it! LOL So glad you found the mysterious envelope! But in the garden bin????? The last place I would look and.....the last place I would think it would have landed! It would drive me crazy until I backtracked that whole story in my brain! LOL Have an awesome rest of your week! Felicia #30
ReplyDeleteLola is gorgeous! I'm so glad that you found the envelope in the end - that type of thing happens to me and drives me potty. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe, with love & God bless, Caro xxx (#29)
ReplyDeleteVery glad you found your envelope in the nick of time. A lovely little visitor. Elaine
ReplyDeleteLove the robot on your desk. So glad you found your money. It is so silly the things we do at times. Cup doggie you had for a visit. Edwina Brown
ReplyDeleteI got the BIGGEST surprise today. I received a gift from you. I have not opened it yet, because I wanted to immediately come from my mailbox to let you know I have received it. I will share it next Wednesday for WOYWW 631. You have my heartfelt gratitude, because I only made two ATCs this year. You surprised me well and you are such a sweetie for thinking of me, too.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found the lost envelope! Cool stuff on your desk and what an adorable Lola!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and have a great week!

What a relief that you found that envelope with the money in it, Lyn, but what a mystery how it got there! I seem to spend a terrible amount of time looking for things these days... Lola is adorable! Not surprised she'd rather sleep on the settee than in a cage! Sensible girl.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW,

Sorry I'm late this week just got a bit distracted. What an interesting week you've had though I'm pleased it's not just me that mislays stuff. My hubby even tries to put the kettle in the fridge sometimes. I think we get distracted and forget what we're doing sometimes but at least the money turned up in the end. Have a happy belated woyww, Angela x23x
ReplyDeleteLola looks so sweet! What a cutie! I hate it when I misplace things, and I do it all the time. I feel your pain; it makes me nuts when I do that!
ReplyDeleteSo pleased you found the envelope!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!
Stay safe and keep well!

Calling All Crafters! – My Blog!
I had a letter die (it was also an N) go missing and I looked "everywhere" and in the end, contacted the company and they sent me a new one out for free... about a month later I found the original one stuck to the underside of a rug with some washi tape lol Happy belated WOYWW! Elle #35, EOTC
ReplyDeleteThanks for your return visit, Lyn. Sorry to hear you went through it as well - they say I have to have the lymph nodes removed to check that there's no cancer there. It seems that that part of the operation has more potential for causing problems than the lumpectomy itself, but we shall see. Thank you for all your good wishes for me and my little family! The kitties will miss having me around on Friday.
