Morning Woywwer's! And if you're not a woywwer, pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in! This is my desk this week, (I'm not showing you the rest as it's just too messy! In fact, I wacked my elbow so hard on the worktop, trying to squeese through to the door, I knocked myself out! Never heard of knocking yourself out by hitting your elbow! (made me laugh, well, it is a funny bone!) One second |I'm thinking I'm going to pass out, sit down quick! and the next I find my self entangeled with the loo roll tower! It's June, so... my no spend May (ha ha ha!) is over and I suddenly found a few things in my shopping bag from The Works, plus some 12x12 papers. And....
this little Gemini Mini arrived yesterday, I subscibed to PaperCraft Essentials a few months back and this was their new subscribers gift. Just right for die cutting those little dies above instead of getting the Big Shot out. And....out in Hubby's mancave... on his this weeks worktop is ...
his artical, which I mentioned a few weeks back, on how he rebuilt his dad's old rustbucket, covered in rat poop for the last 30 odd years, bike. Plus, there's my little cartoon down there in the corner. He's quite chuffed and is off around the Island (Isle of Wight) today on the bike with a fellow member of the magazine.
Another lovely atc has arived from Cindy. Thank you Cindy! Well, that's it for now. I'm still trying to get around last weeks WOYWW, but we've had internet troubles (Like everyone else) I type out a comment and it says it can't be sent, as 'they' can't connect to whatever 'they' connect to! The man arrived yesterday morning, fiddled with things but couldn't find what was wrong... then, as if by magic, it suddenly got better. (The phone's rubbish though, can't hear a ruddy thing!) Stay Safe! Thank you for stopping by!
That shop should be banned!!! But isn't it good!!! Congrats to hubby on the article and a job well done! Have a good week

I love it though. But wish it had all the stuff they have if you order on line. I'm never quick enough on line and things get grabbed out of my basket before I can check out!!
DeleteWoohoo to having a bit of a splurge and The Works is a good place to do it as you get more for your money!! That’s a good offer for new subscribers, I bet that little machine will get loads of use. Congrats to your hubby for appearing in print as well!

Well done to hubby on the article - mine likes to create articles about his model railway and we get quite thrilled when it is in Railway Modeller mag! Hope you are feeling better after your elbow bump shock! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteSad to say no ATC - unless I got it and is doesn't say Spyder on it! But then Robyn's got delivered to a neighbor and took a day or so to make it to me so.... I can't wait to pop in to The Works again, I ALWAYS find goodies I NEEEED... LOL!
ReplyDeleteBack from my first real HAIRCUT in 18 months - truly a HAPPY WOYWW!

P.S Ouchie with the elbow :/
Sorry to hear you had that fall, Lyn. Sounds painful! It looks as if you've got some fun new stuff to play with - good shop, the Works! Congratulations to your hubby for getting published. Mine got an article published in his metal detecting mag last year.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your two visits to my blog and for all your good wishes and prayers. Sorry you had to go through this too. It sounds as if my treatment is going to be fairly similar to yours.
Happy WOYWW,

Congrats on no spending in May. I haven't purchased a thing this year until last week, so how proud you must be because I'm sure your craft budget is larger than mine. LOVE those dies and what a great new "tool." Great incentive indeed. That's a lovely ATC you got, too. Happy WOYWW from # 3.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for spending again! I need one of those "no spend" months, but I'm afraid I might overspend the following month and end up worse off LOL! That's quite a good freebie to go with your subscription. I have the Sizzix Sidekick, which serves the same purpose, but I always forget to use it! I've received your AWESOME ATCs - two of them in the cute little holder (featured in my blog today) - thank you so much! Enjoy spend-again June! And try not to knock yourself out again - how is that even possible? I mean, do take care! xx zsuzsa #28
ReplyDeleteYou are so much stronger than I am - having a no spend month. I can go a long time but if ALL & Create have anything to do with it I am spending.
ReplyDeleteWell done to hubby - how good is that? And such a long article too. Congrats on the cartoon!
Will email you about the atc.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
HI Spyder! Yes, internet and computer troubles here as well. Mostly computer now that we have new internet, but FaceTime still has lots of dropped calls and pauses. So much for new "faster" internet. Oh well. I love to see a messy desk, you should have taken a picture! Although a desk full of new toys is fun too. Congratulations to your hubby on the article! Have a great week, don't knock yourself out! (but glad you are OK!) Lindart #33
ReplyDeleteglad your no spend May is over - celebrate in style indeed!! knocking yourself out by elbow is a new one on me! Take care... Helen #2
ReplyDeleteI have had two visits to The Works since we have been away. Unfortunately, quite small shops so not the full range. Did get one or two items though :). Happy WOYWW Angela #12
ReplyDeleteI suspect it was the shock that made you pass out. Take care and have a very happy and hopefully safe creative woyww, Angela x17x
ReplyDeleteI love your new die cuts. That gemni mini will come in handy I think. Love the cute ATC you got. Edwina Brown
ReplyDeleteNo spend May! Must try that, but need to add a few more months to the challenge. Have emailed you at the address you left on my blog & will pop one of Shaz’s little keepsakes in the post to you just as soon as I hear back from you with your address. Take care, love Debbie xxx
ReplyDeleteI do love those cute sparkly rainbows Lyn - such a tempting shop. Congratulations to your hubby on seeing his article in print - cool cartoon from you too. Hope you are fully recovered. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely new goodies Spyder!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so much for my package arrived today! Two super ATCs (specially love the gnome!) in a wonderful folder plus belly band. Matching envelope plus great postcard of tne needles - you may know that we are sailors!
Happy WOYWW!

Those little die-cutters are so useful aren't they? I have the Diamond Press but I don't actually use it often because I can't seem to gauge the sizes of things and they end up being too big to go through! Bye for now, Lisa-Jane #8
ReplyDeleteYes, I know I could have reused them, but it was a greater satisfaction ripping them up 🤣
ReplyDeleteHiya Spyder - No spend May - sounds very odd - I should try that - next year LOL! I am - like every one seems to be "flat out like a lizard drinkin" to use an Aussie expression LOL! Nice stuff going on on your desk Have a great week - Stay safe & well - Cheers Maurs xxx #35
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better and your elbow is okay, it is lovely when things get in a magazine well done to him
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay safe,
