It's Wednesday! So what's on your worktop today!? Go and link up with Julia's Stamping Ground and show us your crafty space! I love my little Gemini mini (it arrived last week) but the plates are already bending waaaaay out of shape. Yes I know there's a mess and not much creative stuff going on (that will be shown in the next post) and I have tried to tidy, but it takes sooo long to put things away that there's never any time left to craft! There's about three- no four different die-sets all mixed up and some colouring going on here and below....
...this amazing Silverwolf tribute/keepsake from Debbie (Tattered Rocks)! (You forgot to send me your addy Debbie! Please send! Short post from me today as I'm feeding cats and gardens and watering fish at three different places for the next few weeks (and Lola the little tiny dog is coming over this week too) and Boudie Boo and Jess called in to say hello! (dogs I used to look after) and, I'm waaaay behind with card making! (and there's a pile on ironing in the corner, but we won't mention that!...the ironing board has the bigshot plus on it anyway...poor thing's legs are bowing, BigShots are really heavy!) Crash!!! Oh no, just popped back to add links and a shelf has just fallen down! Luckily it's a bottom one, so not too bad! (oh, is that where that stamp set got to!!) So!! That's it for now (freebie will be late! Sorry.... it's either going to be a weird dragon or an odd looking donkey... or something else! Now, nip over to Stamping Ground and join in! Catch you all later, thank you for stopping by!
So glad my atc's and atc coins arrived at last - sorry you had to wait for them.
ReplyDeleteI am so out of touch these days with die cutting machines I will have to look up the little Gemini to see what it does. It all went out the window when i stopped demonstrating at shows.
Hugs, Neet 10 xx
I always get such a smile on my face when I read you very entertaining posts. I loved the ATC(s) you sent and agree Debbie is a star. You must shore up that ironing board. I went looking for a Cuttlebug the other day and they seem to be used only. I am so over a massive die cutting machine and wish I had not gifted my Big Shot (not Pro) to the local craft club. The size really suits me better these days. Oh well...
ReplyDeleteTrying for an early start this week!
Happy WOYWW

Your desk looks very busy today . Can't believe how busy and generous Debbie has been with her Shaz tributes. We are all so lucky. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteThe piece by Debbie is gorgeous, bet you're really pleased with that. Glad I'm not the only one that has several things on the go at a time. I try to tidy things away but it just takes up valuable crafting time. Nice collection of ATCs too. Have a lovely week and a very creative woyww, Angela x17xa
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about Gemini machines but should the plates be warping already? Are you stronger than you think os are the plates not well made?! Debbie’s work is fantastic, I was lucky enough to get a Shaz reminder too xx
ReplyDeleteHugs LLJ 7 xx
Gorgeous gifts :-) You seem really, really busy right now :-D
ReplyDeleteI have used your " Under The Sea " backing paper on a project here - https://suzy-ikesworld.blogspot.com/2021/06/craftlandia-monthly-challenge.html

Don't forget you can go choose any digi you want Sue, I think I must own you millions!!
DeleteI’m just grabbing a quick break and catching up with all my favourite blogs while I get the chance...the world and his wife are needing sewing at the mo so I’m keeping busy.
ReplyDeleteI really love reading your posts and yes I did manage to get all my sewing done before we went away....but have had lots more since we got home.
Hugs,

Same like the ATCs still keep poring in! Debbie is a star for sure - and these wonderful keepsakes will keep Shaz's memory alive for many years to come! Lucky you were not under that shelf when it came down! Happy WOYWW! xx zsuzsa #21
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that you should keep one of the plates on those die cutters for the top. It won't get marks on it that way. The one I was given has marks on both plates, so it won't help me unless I buy a new one. However, I also read that if your plate warps, turn it over every time you use it. Then it will straighten out. Not sure about the Gemini, though. Still, you have some wonderful images you created. Love, love, love all the ATCs and Debbie's gift is fabulous. Happy WOYWW from # 5.
ReplyDeleteAre you remembering to flip and turn your plates with the Gemini? I haven’t done any die cutting for ages and I have new dies still waiting for their first cut! So many “I must do that” things lining up on my list. Happy WOYWW Angela #9
ReplyDeleteWHat great ATCs you have there Lyn. Aren't we lucky indeed that Debbie has been so generous creating the SHaz tributes for us all. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Lyn, a crash!! I'm glad it wasn't the Big Shot at least. Hope there wasn't too much damage. It sounds as if you are really busy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit, and I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the kitties. Those empty shelves won't be empty for long, I am sure!
Happy WOYWW,

Love seeing your ATC's you received. Looks like you have been busy as well. Hopefully the shelf goes back up easy. Edwina Brown
ReplyDeleteSo pleased that my ATC arrived!
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling about Crafting v. Tidying!
Happy WOYWW!

Happy Belated WOYWW. I recently got the Gemini Midi, only used it a few times and yes the plates are warping. I think that is a 'thing' with a lot of the diecutting machines. I have been researching this, and one suggestion is to keep turning the plates and using them on different sides, plus putting the dies in different areas each time. Some people heat a dish of water in the microwave and then put the plates in to straighten them up. There are also YouTube videos showing a different sandwich, and also using a 'healing plate' to get them straight again. Will look into it more. Ali x #24
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit. Had lots to do outdoors with our beautiful weather. Now storms in the forecast I have 3 of the little triangle teabags they are so cute and never found them again mine are a silky fabric. I think I picked them up on vacation once. Love your ATC photos Have a fun week
ReplyDeleteDebbie's tribute to Shaz is really wonderful. Something to treasure. Hope you fixed the shelf - it could have been a disaster. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteMy ATCs have arrived safely - thank you! How upsetting and frustrating to have a shelf fall down - I hope there wasn't too much damage. Happy Belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#23)
ReplyDeleteAs long as they work, the plates will be fine…but somewhere on you tube there’s a tube for heating them up in the oven, weighed down with all sorts to get the flat again…may be under cuttlebug plates if you’re searching. I turn mine so that they stay relatively flat. As I’m late, you’re nearly half way through another lively week, hope it’s going well!
ReplyDeleteooh thats not great that the plates for the new die cutter have bent already! Excellent on getting one of Debbies amazing tributes to Shaz too. As to the ironing, must admit I have been hanging mine in a steamy bathroom when we shower and after a couple days a lot of it seems "ok" so halved my pile!! Shirts however, still need a session :-(
