Happy WOYWW! It's no lie, (about having two desks) coz we're not home, (this is on timer) and we're still dog sitting and very lumpy it is too! (and a little smelly!) Dog's really weren't made to be sat on!
Here's my desk at home as I left it...don't look too closely..there's a DT card waiting to be put together. The black lines on that paper? Well, that's one of my cheats. Instead of fixing on black card (or any colour card) I draw round the edges of the pearl card I'm going to use, with whatever colour suits my theme, in this case black... saves a lot of time and card!
And.... (there's more)...here's the second desk, the (Kitchen/diner) worktop where we're dog sitting... And perching on it is...no, not a dog....My Patchwork Piggy!!! I showed him to you last Tuesday, unfinished (almost nude!) and this is what he looks like now...
And.... (there's more)...here's the second desk, the (Kitchen/diner) worktop where we're dog sitting... And perching on it is...no, not a dog....My Patchwork Piggy!!! I showed him to you last Tuesday, unfinished (almost nude!) and this is what he looks like now...
All fired up and shiny, although, not quite as I thought he would look like, (actually a little bit better!) but not bad for my first try, and all my own work... well the painting bit is! Must remember next time how the underneath paint shows through any pant painted over the top. Still, I got his pink cheeks just the way I wanted them, showing through the stippled pale blue, even though the patchwork is a bit wonky! So that's it...
That's what's on my 'home' workdesk this Wednesday and 'here' where the dogs are...! Beats all that mess I usualy show you. So??? Want to join in? Easy! Just pop over the The Stamping Ground and sign in to the biggest crafty blog hop ever! This is on timer, hope to 'see' you when I get home!! Bye for now!
Hi Lyn, love the pig, you did a wonderful job on it. And your desk looks like you had a lot going on before leaving home. I need to make something for the challenge. #18
ReplyDeleteI've done that exact same trick with drawing around the edge with a black pen! Poor doggy being lumpy and smelly! Is he old? Love how the little piggy turned out.

ReplyDeleteCute little piggy. But of course, I still like seeing your desk, even though you aren't there. At first I was having a terrible time leaving comments on blogs tonight. They didn't want to post. NOW I get "service unavailable when I try to leave a comment. Happy WOYWW from # 7.

Lyn - make a notebook - even though you don't really want to - every time you fire - because one day you will do an amazing thing and be unable to repeat it, MAKE NOTES, I'm jumping up and down and waving at my mac to get your attention, you will forget if you don't note it,
ReplyDeleteright that's it, I'm making you a pottery journal - it will take some time & you'll need to let me have your addie via FB, but eventually you will get your notebook...then I will seriously expect notations...
