I showed you most of my ATC's last week, for WOYWW's 13th Anniversary. 'Connections'. Here they are finished and set out before they went off to their new homes, after I'd added a few more bits. Everyone should be showing off theirs today, although the ones from across the pond will take ages yet. Why not pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and see! ATC's everywhere I should think! I added Gems and numbers...and then decided to join the map up. That's why the numbers don't match, but the map does. On the back I've put which one is 'connected' to which...so, #9 will be connected to #4 and #8, number 2 in the middle will be connected to four others... like a secret code! Some arrived the next day, some on Friday and more on Monday....eeeks! I thought, I haven't done enough! So rushed around like a headless carrot and made eight more. This time in 'Portrait'. ...that must be enough now (although someone did 40!) Anyway, to cut a long story short...I suddenly realised, I'd posted every ones and only really needed to make one more-or they could've had #9 with the different envelope, but I'd decided to keep that one, I rather liked the idea of keeping, Seven of Nine too and desperately wanted to add StarTrek's Voyager to it... (I didn't there wasn't any room!) I'm a little bit disappointed that there's no Elizabeth Line but I guess that'll take another three years and cost another billion pounds! Here are the ATC's that arrived so far...bloody brilliant!
First we have 'Julia's house's- connecting, then there's Annie's and Jo's with a card, bottom row, Jan, Lunch Lady, along with a little card, then it's Angela's (made her's in her caravan!) followed by Caro and and Helen H ! Now then??? seeing I made some more, (called Second Addition Connection) when I didn't need to...there's a few still going spare... Number One and two have gone. If you'd like one, just let me know!Last weeks Wednesday freebie is still available here, this weeks will be a bit late, as I'm very busy and the computer keeps doing silly things! Tom's pop up box Birthday card is finished and is here (with links to freebie papers) and.... I'm working on a DT card, below on the little table in the living room.
All good fun, oh, and we have little Lola (she was a show girl...) the Chihuahua coming
I LOVED your ATC, the Mornington Crescent reference made me hoot (as a massive fan of I’m Sorry..) And each time I hear the name Lola the song lyrics appear in my weird brain so I hope you have fun with the little dog!

Cor you’ve been busy! I love the connection of numbers and maps, clever idea Lyn, and great fun. You will take the Washi and bubble wrap off the ATC from me now that it’s safe and sound won’t you - just didn’t want the wire piercing the envelopes! That pop up card looks devilish, I think in my list of characteristics for Deskers I haven’t actually met yet, I might have to write ‘likes a project’ next to your name! Have fun with Lola, try not to stay up all night tripping the light fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI can’t even sign in to Google to comment properly here, hopes this is third time lucky! I love the ATCs Lyn, and such a clever idea to number the connections of the map, I love it! And that pop up card looks like another work of art, next to your name on my mental list of Desker characteristics, I’m going to say ‘likes a project’ about you! Julia x
ReplyDeleteThis weird new box tricked me once but I think I have it now! Sorry no comment from me last week :( But yes, you have been busy indeed. My ATC perhaps isn't fab at depicting the "connections" but then that is me all over - missing the important bit in my excitement to begin. But WE all know we are connected, and have been for 13 years!
ReplyDeleteHappy start of year 14!!

DeleteThanks lots for your ATC its fab - you are a clever crafter! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteOoh send me a picture of Lola please! I would like to get another chihuahua in the future, although my husband is saying no at the moment! My daughter has 6 dogs now which is a little OTT considering her heath.
ReplyDeleteYour map idea was very clever for your ATC’s and you have received some lovely ones too. I live the idea of 7 of 9, surely you could have managed a tiny Voyager! Happy WOYWW. Angela #16
Yes, I wish I did now! I mean...'Star Trekking across the universe, is a great connection!' Will send picture of Lola!

ReplyDeleteI love your secret connecting ATCs! How creative! Tom's card is awesome! Is he a referee? My hubby was a referee years ago (probably why he's had 2 knee replacements). Have fun with Lola, I'm sure she will be a bundle of energy! Have a great week, Lindart #26
ReplyDeleteLove your ATC's that you made as well as the ones you received. Great job on the ones you made. You can always use the extras to make cards with. Edwina Brown
