MORNING all you WOYWW's!? A quick post from me today.. (No way!) as I'm running late, chasing my tail and that's not easy! I've been trying to make this Easter Bunny card, but they never turn out right when you haven't got the right dies...or papers...or flowers.
I started the card and half way through decided to double check the You Tube video I'd followed a few days back and then wished I'd used a square card and my checkered paper instead. I did have a much tidier desk when I started... but then I forgot where I'd put those googley eyes! Yep... my ears aren't big enough either! (The rabbit's, not mine!) That's it from me... (really?!) freebie coming up...or maybe it's already down below. Stay Safe! Keep on crafting! Happy WOYWW!?

LOL! I do that all the time - see somethig inspiring, start making it, then realize I really should have made note, or watched it more than once, or even sometimes WATCHED IT TO THE END. And I have to stop watching stuff on 1.5 or 2x speed, with the chipmunk voice muted. DOH! I think the card looks cute, but I know what you mean when it doesn't match the image in your head...never happy. Off to check the freebie....

Oh, he's cute. I love the slightly smaller ears :-D x
ReplyDeleteI only clean my desk when I have finished a project and now I realise why it is taking me so long to finish. Have a creative week.

Lol at your post , sounds familiar . Have a good day Helen #1
ReplyDelete*hangs head in shame* Oh the amount of times I’ve been mid project and then realised that I can’t go any further unless I deviate from the instructions or buy more stash. Put it this way, it isn’t the stash option I go for, lol! I think the paper and bunny are both lovely.

But I love your bunny! It's so cute with those googly eyes and small ears! And I thing that paper is the perfect background as well. Try looking at it through different eyes and you'll see its charm too! Have a lovely week! xx zsuzsa #28
ReplyDeleteLove your bunny - he's just fine, and googly eyes make up for anything!! Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, love n hugs, Cindy #27

I do that all the time with tutorials, think I know what to do and then have to go back and check. I really prefer step by step inside of video, but it’s mostly videos these days. You latest drawing is brilliant. So many gnomes around at the moment, all very similar, but yours are much nicer.
ReplyDeleteForgot to put Have a great week and happy WOYWW Angela #3
ReplyDeleteThe card is so sweet, love it. Take care my friend and have a happy woyww, Angela x19x
ReplyDeleteThe bunny card is sweet! I know exactly what you mean though, about revisiting the tutorial or Pinterest only to find that the vague background pattern or choice of colour actually was central to the whole look of the thing. Doesn’t matter, it inspired you and that’s the point!
ReplyDeleteI still think that bunny looks cute Lyn. Hope you manage to finish to your satisfaction. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
ReplyDeleteLOL! I like the bunny poking around the corner! But yes, right with you on the video front "Yes I know where this is going, I can do it myself"... nope! Spring blessings, Lisa-Jane #7
ReplyDeleteI love the bunny card - he's so cute and the ears look fine to me. I had to laugh at you saying about getting half way through a project and not having the right stuff - I think most of us have been there, and I've also ordered the things and then can't remember what the heck they were for when they finally arrived!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week,
Diana xx #24
Hee hee, been there, done that and got the tee shirt :-) Anne x 26
ReplyDeleteYour post made me giggle - sounds like the story of my life!
ReplyDeleteYour bunny turned out lovely anyway!
Happy WOYWW!

Well he's a cutey bunny all the same. I've not made ANY Easter cards yet - oh my!
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm a bit late this week but I was digging a pond Wednesday then food shopping and trying to source some plants yesterday whilst the boys replaced some fence panels then I had to go clear up the garden AGAIN. Thanks for the visit BJ#9
I love the utter unplannedness of all this, Lyn! The small-eared rabbit is delightful - I bet it's a recognised breed! Anyway, who says the Easter Bunny has big ears? Lol! I love an untidy desk - it shows creativity. Wish mine was a bit messier these days... The rest of the room is a tip. Always gets like that when I'm not using it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and your fun comment! Glad you enjoyed the juxtaposition of kitty bums and chickpea hummus. Life's never dull chez Shosh...
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #22
I think we all do that - start something, carry on, thinking we know what we are doing, get stuck, look back at the instruction video (or whatever) and realise where we went wrong. Well, that is me all over! I am sure the bunny card will be perfect and hope we ge4t to see it next week.

ps. Sorry I am so late but my back is really bad plus I have had 267 spam comments to delete since Wednesday. So time consuming, especially when you don't feel like bothering. Someone obviously is targeting me.
LOL. Your post sounds like every crafter ever. Where do we find things? And why is the desk always messy! Thanks for your earlier visit. It’s already time for this week’s WOYWW but it’s always good to peek!
