Bugaboo has a new release today, this cute baby calf! It's not my official GDT card but I wanted to make one anyway and have a practice at adding the Bugaboo Bear logo (Yay!!) See what everyone else has done with this cute baby calf over on Catch The bug!
Of course, because I was in a hurry, everything went wrong!!! (we've off to Stornaway, (Scotland) going to stay over at Debs, meaning, I now have one day less to get everything ready) I added the logo easy last night on my Soccer girl but could I remember how I did it this morning?? No!
And this is about my fourth attempt at making the card!!! Stopped about two this morning, started again at 7 and it's now gone midday!! Never mind I've done it now, that's all that counts!!
The Card...I decided to make an Easel card using the digi twice to look like twins and do a bit of 3D-ing.
I edged the card with a black Promarker, covered with my own stripy paper, using Promarkers, which will be added as a freebie in the next post. I printed out the calf a few times, as I was going to decoupage both of them...Now, make sure when you copy, that they are all the SAME size!
My first try they were different sizes, which I didn't notice until I'd cut them all out! and of course you can't do a bit of 3D-ing if the digi's aren't the same size... I gave up on the first card, the second got black finger marks on it coz it got all gluey and even pulling bits off and cutting other bits out couldn't save it!
Anyway, I've added brads, a ribbon, a little button, a teddy button and a nappy pin. The bit which holds the Easel up is a folded piece of card cut out with a border punch. I made the sentiment on the computer.
The Font is a freebie! I've linked it before. It's called Black boys on mopeds download it HERE or Google the name.
That's it for now. Really sorry there's no new freebie this Wednesday ...old one will stay there til next week now, I'll email it out when I get back. Hidden freebie is still there and so is last weeks.
I've put my WOYWW on Timer but I doubt I'll be able to link it or pop in to see you...(I might, as John is taking his little Net book and his dongle~ but Google shut me down after I used his dongle in a field, thought the Russians or the Arabs were hi jacking my Gmail! very scary and there's no telly at the Croft, and no internet! (but there is a lot of sheep!)
Saturday is Alistair's birthday. We're meeting all his brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews and nieces. We'll be scattering his ashes near the loch where he used to fish, next to the croft. It's where he wanted to be. Strangely, even though he died so suddenly, only a month before, he'd told Debs that's where he'd like to be.
Back to the card!! I'd love to enter it into a few....

Hi Lynn,
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute baby card. Little moo cows are adorable.
I hope you all have a nice day to scatter your friend's ashes. It's interesting that he had just mentioned where he'd like his final resting place to be.
Hugs,
Kay
Super cute and fun idea to use two digi's for twins. Love the diagonal patterned paper that you chose. Thanks for joining us this week at One Stitch at a Time for our use a digi challenge.
