Hi Peoples! Arrgghh!! At last I've got (John's got) the Christmas Tree and decorations down from the attic and I've started dressing the tree with all the little knick-knacks I've collected over the years. There's hundreds of them...
I just know, one day the tree's going to topple over from the weight and squish me under it!! All you'll see is my feet sticking out, like the Wicked Witch of the East! (Note to self, don't tempt fate and wear those stripy socks and curly toed slippers any more!)
This is the Christmas card I made for my youngest daughter Maria and her hubby Jesse. (I've shown you Mason's already) Hope it gets all the way to Money Creek, which is about an hours drive from Seattle. They don't have a postman, they have to collect it, so I hope it's not snowing over there yet!
All the backing paper's I used were freebies from two different Christmas paper stacks that came with Crafty Magazines. The image was a gift from a forum friend, waaay back before I had any stamps or papers. The red flower started off life as a white flower, a packet I won on a blog hop, and coloured with a crimson ProMarker to match the little girl's heart and mittens. The ribbon was cut from the inside of a new blouse! (doing well so far!)
The Font is a freebie, it's called AL Serenade and you can download it HERE and the lovely Diecut, Frosty Border came from Joanna Sheen and I just love it!!! (Every card I make from now on will have one on it!)
Last week two stamps I ordered from Tracy and Dies To Die For, arrived with some lovely little sample diecuts, which I thought was a very nice touch! Thank you! So now I've totally fallen in love with these Memory Box dies.
I've also added a little bit of Stickles Glitter and micro glitter and about nine tiny brads, I did cheat a bit on the matting. The red card I had didn't match so I just coloured the edge of white card with the crimson Promarker.
This card has six layers, seven if you count the flowers. I came across a challenge doing layers and of course I've forgotten where. Hopefully, I'll remember and add it to my list!
