Morning everyone!! Another Wednesday, another WOYWW and another wander around the World to see what everyone has been doing all week. Me? Not a lot. I have managed to get all the 'gold' on all the corners of my box (the bits that will still be seen after I've covered the other bits with decorative papers) I then decided that one of my other boxes could do with the same treatment, so have painted the corners of that gold too.
I also found the magazine from last year, which I was looking for last week, with the 'Make Me' article, which gave me the idea.
The only trouble is, they used The Mariposa Collection papers, which have a 'golden' inlay, and look beautiful, and of course, can I find them over here in the UK? No.... but I'll keep searching!! With any luck, this is what my box will look like when it's finished!
Right, I'd better stop typing this and get cracking on drawing this weeks freebie digi. Meanwhile if you feel the sudden urge to come and show us all your crafty space, hop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in!! It's that simple!!! Thank you for stopping by!!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the peek! Sarah (at 4)
Good luck with your paper search.... the box will look fab.
ReplyDeleteOh! It think that it will turn out Fab! Maybe you could dig up a gold pen or paint if you cannot find the gold inlay paper? Anyway, glad that you found the magazine, and thanks for sharing youe WOYWW! -Amanda
ReplyDeleteWell done for finding the magazine - that's quite amazing! I've been searching high and low for my last P45 and as yet, no luck, oo er....
ReplyDeleteI like your little circle of glittery goodness (in the 2nd shot) mmmm, sparkle......
Have fun this week, hugs, LLJ xxxx
I love your desk. It makes me want to come over and play! good luck with the paper hunt.
ReplyDeleteGlad you've started your box! it will look great. If it's the DCWV Mariposa papers you are after if you search Mariposa in the Crafts section on ebay a few options come up... there are a few 12 x 12 pads on there for around £20 which is full price really but if that's what you really want... Also I'm sure The Range do it too if you have one near you. Good luck x
ReplyDeleteHi Lyn. Right, sit yourself down girl! Here's a link http://www.diestodiefor.com/proddetail.php?prod=dcwv-mariposa
ReplyDeleteIt's in stock and on offer for £12.
The stack is 8" x 8" - not sure if that's big enough, I think they might do 12" x 12" papers as well.
If it's 8" x 8" you're after I have a brand spanking new, totally unused stack here right beside me! I bought it as the papers do look stunning (the gold inlay is sumptuous!) but, a lot of the papers aren't right for cards so I've never used it. Yours for £5 plus whatever the postage would be. Drop me an email chick if you're interested, I won't be offended if you decide to buy from dies to die for. di_wray@hotmail.com

ReplyDeleteIt seems you always find things when your looking for something else! I think the unit will be wonderful! Thanks for the peek!
ReplyDeleteThe gold will be fab. I'm pretty sure the DCWV Mariposa collection was here at the time...trouble is they replace them all so fast now, huh! Doesn't matter - you'll still have a cracking set of drawers, whatever you choose to use.
ReplyDeleteHi hun

Hello Lyn, I'm really looking forward to seeing this project when completed. Isn't it frustrating when you can't source papers that seem to be freely available in the US, especially if you've set your heart on them. Thanks for the Witchy digi - she's terrific. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #51
ReplyDeleteLyn, I'm impressed you found your magazine. That in itself is a feat. Let's hope finding the gold inlay paper will go as well. Happy WOYWW.
