Once more this is on timer and I'm not here. (I'm hiding somewhere!) No, I'm not, I'm at work, wrestling again with hoovers, dogs and maybe a few chickens, so I apologise in advance for my lateness in calling in to see your crafty creations!
Once again we plunge bravely into the wonders of the world of crafting and craftiness, visiting, (being nosy) other people's crafting space whether it be under the stairs, on top of the washing machine, under the bed, on the floor or even out in the shed. Today's the Day that Crafter's of the World Unite!! Be it only for a day on Julia's fabulous blog spot of...
This week I'm afraid I haven't tidied up. (There's no surprise there then!) In fact, it's worse than ever. I've spread from my craft room down the hall and into the living room again, where, as you can see, I have been very productive! (as a bull in a china shop)
Because, today's the day, I've bravely pressed that magic button and allowed you all into Spyder's Other Corner! It's been there for ages, hiding out the back and today we've opened the doors and let you all in... No Champagne or strawberries, but there is a freebie. I hope you like it!Hubby John helped and has built me, not a nice new craft desk but a mini shop of digi images, swiping anything he could lay his hands on that didn't run away!! (Even the cat had to hide!) In fact, there's a few that will have to come off, never to be seen again!! (which will leave me with about five images!)
So, after you've clicked the link on my side bar, it will lead you to 'Dragonsmoore... Spyder's Other Corner'. (Why Dragonsmoore?) Well, that's another (very long) story...never ending in fact!! And maybe I'll explain it one day, when you've fallen asleep and can't hear me. I'd love to know what you think... be it good, bad, or even ugly!!
Here's a picture of what's going on in the living room at the moment. This was taken late last night. I'm in the middle of drawing a Teddy, who you'll find over in my, Didi- Digi Shop along with a few of his friends...(and if that doesn't scare you off, nothing will!!) On the card you can just see in the corner of the picture is Hoppety. I'm hoping to finish him using the sketch over on Midnight Madness.
Unfortunately, my craft room's become a dumping ground. A few things left out from the last card I made. And yes!! To answer a question from last week, that's a picture of me and him on our wedding day, which I posted about midnight on April the 12th, so no one would notice!! (People never scroll down!!)
If I swing round, it's just as bad! (so we won't do that!!) and there's no way you're seeing the floor... no I mean it... there's no way anyone can see the floor!! (At least we've rediscovered the colour of the living room carpet!)
And now just to prove and say thank you to John for all his patience and help in finding out things and learning all about layering and making banners and other things, (even though his 'colouring' is pretty bad!!) Here he is (last night) in the kitchen, not cooking, but playing with his laptop and still working on the digi-ness!! Aw Bless him!
Now, if you want to join in with WOYWW. just take a picture of where you do your crafting and what you're up to and come and visit!! But I warn you, it's very addictive!! But you'll meet some fabulous people!!

ReplyDeleteRe the art journal, this is the first one I've done, but I'm going to stick 2 pages together at least. I made some pages for a journal for the retreat I'm going to and those are a few posts back if you want to look. I stuck 3 sheets of paper together with mod podge for those and once I'd added paint they dried lovely and stiff.
I got the art journal from here

Lyn, I love the freebie teddy, thanks so much! And I'm off to visit the shop after I've visited the DT blogs. And, lol, you need to borrow Stitchy's whip and let hubby know that if he's going to be in the kitchen, it's a given that, whatever else he's doing, he also needs to be whipping you up some chocolatey goodness for you :P
ReplyDeleteI know. You don't have to remind me. I'm late, I'm late, for this very important date. But I'm here now, snooping and enjoying your wonderful post, messiness (err...creativity), and your darling husband, known as the good sport!
