It's A Guy Thing, Brother!

Thought I'd make a Guy card after all the girlie cards I made over the weekend! This is Mr Fix it, he's in my Didi Digi store coz he's mine! Not so cute. In fact, I probably wouldn't want to meet a giant rabbit in a dark alley carrying that spanner or the hammer!!
I've mainly done this card because of an email I had over the weekend, to do a male card and use the colours seen...to add the code I've been given and then well, just see what happens I guess! The brads are all from Woodware, screws, hammer, spanner, saw, scissors and the 'Brothers' cider tops are from Brother's Drinks, and seeing I know one of the four brother's family very well, I kind of have a few of their bottle tops!! (Cider's pretty good too!) Have you seen their TV ad?? Here tis.
I've coloured Mr Fix It with Promakers and also done a bit of dry embossing, tearing and inking. He also comes without the 'Mr Fix It ' on his pocket, just so he can be flipped (other wise it would read backwards wouldn't it!) Okay....let's press the button and see what happens...probably blow my computer up! Did you see the end of Lost?? Was it really rubbish?? (Linxwithin Challenge details have now been removed)

It's A Girly Quirky-ness! Shaker Card

It's that Quirky time again, or it should be, when the Quirky Craft's Challenge Blog starts off with a new Challenge,. Thank you to every one who entered last time, there were some really lovely Chocolate and Cream projects! We'll soon let you know who the winners are! Now the next fortnightly Challenge is a really nice easy one. We want you to go all....

'Girly Girly!!'

Anything you consider to be really girlie, lots of bling and sparkle, gems, feathers, make-up, dresses, handbags, shoes, or just something very simple, like a lovely photograph and a few swirls, in fact anything, you consider 'Girly' we'd love to see it over on the Quirky Craft's Challenge...

I'm not really girlie but I decided it was about time I did another Shaker card (That's my motto, if in doubt, do a shaker card!) and added a few flowers, tear drop gems, a gem butterfly, a dotty bow, a sparkly flip flop and a paper frill, oh and loads of sticklers Glitter too!
The lovely papers are 'My Minds Eye' (Pretty Please Spring Papers) and were a freebie with Cardmaking and PaperCraft Magazine a few months ago. Tilda was coloured with Promakers, of course. I haven't put a sentiment on, but it will be a birthday card. I have a few June birthdays coming up! Well ,there you have it! Come and join in!! Thanks for stopping by!

OSAAT's 'NEW' Challenge!

One Stitch at a Time's New Challenge starts over on the Challenge blog any second now. Pop over to find out who won and who your top three were for last weeks, Fury Friends Challenge. Did you guess this weeks new challenge? It was quite a good clue I gave you! This weeks New Challenge over on One Stitch At A Time is...
To use something new!!!
And for those of you who didn't see me buying them (a few posts down)... my new crafty item I used in the making of this card (besides the lovely fairy image) was... My New Promakers! I was such a happy bunny, seeing them for only £4.74 that I bought six packets! I now have loads more new colours. So Me and John will be living on Beans on Toast for the next week! (Only kidding....just beans!)
The lovely fairy image you all must have seen, can be found over in the Stitchy Bear Store. She's one of the Flower Fairies this one's by Stitchy and is called Butterfly Love There's another one called Flower Fairy by Lil Diva Stamps.
I've used my Promakers to colour her, Micro Glitter on her wings and bodice and a dash of a white gel pen. The flower is from Cardmaker's and Papercraft 'Reader's Page' winnings (yay!!)
I've also used a cuttlebug embossing folder through my Big Shot, and also a large scalloped circle from Nestabilities. The Butterflies are Tim Coffey, K & Company, embossed Stickers (slightly talced so they don't stick all the way down) The paper is a scrap booking sheet cut to fit a (new, bought it yesterday!) textured linen effect dark blue card and folded back (I was going to cut half way around the circle but my craft knife is a bit iffy, and I just know it would tear the paper through such thick card, so my tip is always use a sharp craft knife!!) I'll find out the name of the papers and add it later. The font is a freebie. It's called Frosty, you may already have it but if not, you can download it for free HERE (It has tiny snow flakes on it, but they were too small to see.)So?? What are you all wanting for? Pop over and see what all the over DT members have made and then, I just KNOW you all have something new you're dying to use!!! So, go get crafting!! Don't forget, anything goes, as long as it's new!! (No. New under wear does not count!) Thank you for stopping by.

OSAAT's A New Sneak Peak

Okay, I thought I'd give you a bit of a sneak peak of my DT card for OSAAT's New Challenge that starts tomorrow at noon. (Anything to get that scarrry video off the top. I really must stop eating so many Chocolate buttons!! And no, that wasn't a clue!)
Well, what d'you think?? Bit of glitter? Embossing? Pop back tomorrow at noon and all will be revealed, in the nicest possible way!! (No Naked Office here!!)
Hi, ((wave))) and a big hello to new follower Paul!! Known for lots of craftiness. 'Bring on the Buddly Challenge,' also the 'ATC Swappers' where anyone can join in with swapping ATC's every month. For June, the theme will be 'Animal Antics' and also 'Crafty Blogocks' Great fan of Bugaboo! (me too!)
That's it for now...thanks for stopping by, back later!

Lyn Goes Shopping For Promarkers: Video

I could say this is my sneak peak for One Stitch At a Time's new Challenge, which starts tomorrow at noon (Sunday)...but I won't, coz it's not...but it is a clue. John caught me on camera, at Hobby Craft this afternoon after I made him drive all the way over there, in the wind and rain, to buy some Promarkers as they were only £4.74 for a packet of five. Luckily for me I had more money in my purse than I realised and bought six packets. Can you tell, I was a very happy bunny!!
But me thinks...no more chocolate buttons for me!

More ATC's CM&PC Swap

I do a bit of a ATC swap over on the Cardmaking & Papercraft forum and this month I wanted to see Anything that flies. These are mine. (so I'll keep them small!) I think I put anything I could find that flies on them, but not airplanes. Butterflies ,dragonflies, fairies, birds, ladybirds. time-flies, doves, bats...

We had some really good ones this time and there was a little prize for the winner..

These are the Button Fairies and the Dragon by NantyLornar (I claimed the Star Trek one!) Bit of a trekkie

These lovely Bird ATC's were made by Piglet with an extra one for me. Thank you Jan!

These were made by Caro. Butterflies and a Dragonfly. Lots on Inking on these to get the colour right, then stamp embossing. Here's some more, Caro made.

These were from Kerrmiya (The bottom flower one for me as a RAK thank you) The butterflies in the bottom right are fabric, and I love the little butterfly-watches. This was the over all winner, chosen by Frog the cat, my mum and hubby John!
Piglet has chosen Texture and/or Teddy Bears for next months swap. (June..already!!) Anyone can come and join in.
That's it for now! Catch you all later!!

Latest Pictures of Mason Rain

I'm a cool dude!

Just found these pictures of Mason on Face Book. It's the only communication we have, other then Skype, (when the wind's blowing in the right direction!) He's growing sooo big so fast! He's sooo cute, just wanna give him a hug!

ATC's: A Tall Tale

Here's my four ATC's for Paul's monthly Swap. This month the theme was 'Tall Tales' (Ok, who thought of a giraffe?) Tales, as in stories...not tails...well, actually I was going to do that, (something with a long tail...but seeing my last lot were so yucky, after I mislaid the originals, and rushed doing some more and then only sent three off (still haven't found them!) I emailed Paul and told him to bin them!! (Yes they were that bad!!)
So....I hope these ATC's are okay.
I kept it very simple and went with the white rabbit from 'Alice in Wonderland,' seeing he was the only fairy tale character I had. I drew my own back ground and then 3D-ed the white rabbit and fixed him on with 3D foam pads. Coloured with Promakers. Three with trees and one with a Castle. The font I've linked before, so just Google Scoopy Doo free font and you should find it otherwise scroll down a bit! Oh..all right, lazy bones here's the Link.
Hope they're okay this time! But who could go wrong with that lovely white rabbit?! Super cute! He's by Bugaboo Stamps. See loads more of their Digi's in their shop and don't forget to hunt out their freebies too!!

We have *three new followers! two new ones and one I missed!! Yay!! So, hi and a big (((wave))) to Katie-Louise, who I've only just spotted! (sorry! unless maybe you were out the back and in the dark with no link! Blogger does shove you in half way down the list if you suddenly have a picture! John's always moaning that he never got a mention!) Katie has a fabulous blog with some really cute cards, so pop over and say hi. Then really out the back and in the dark with no picture is Jamie Morgan ((Hi) Now, I did do a bit of 'Sherlock Holming' and I'm pretty sure you'll find Jamie over on Jamie Loves Paper. another WOYWW fan! with a lovely blog. Then it's ((Hi)) to Sandy O (Sandy...now, who's singing that song from Grease?!) Sandy has a lovely blog, it's called Paper Transformer Fabby-doozy!
I'd like to enter this ATC into a Wednesday Challenge, I've just come across, it's to use your favourite stamp. Well, I love all my stamps! And I love all these little bugaboo Digi stamps just as much!! I'm off to find more challenges. Thank you for stopping by!

WOYWW?

Morning Bloggers!! Isn't it odd that the word, blog and bloggers, still has a red wavy line under it. Is it in the dictionary? Is it a word? Does any one care? Nah! Course not, because Bloggers from all over the world, (Bognor, Maidstone and Brighton included) all meet up today for...
What's on your Workdesk Wednesday?

If you've not done it before, why not? Go and do it now! But bewared, it's very addictive.
As you can see... I did tidy up... five seconds later it was a mess again. I did try. Honest! The first pictures are my craft room. (taken round about Midnight )I've put the spiky head 'Top Cat' on the shelf this week as he quite like being spotted last week! He talks, 'Meow. And juss 'wemember', I'm the Topcat, meow, that's right!" Most of this mess is left over from cards I made over the week end... Empty frothy coffee cup is new though, just finished it! ...(with extra chocolate of course) Oh look, embossing lid's off! Better go and put that on right now!
I've hidden something on my bench in amongst all the clutter 'specially for you Anne (Liverpool Lou) I wonder if you can spot them!
The bottom pictures are my dinning table, where I've had to spread out once again. I'm in the middle of finishing off some ATC's for a swap I do on one of the forums I'm on and the card I made yesterday, sent off...and forgot to sign.(Oh well, we can't all be brain-boxes, can we!)
In one of the pictures you can just spy a can of Pledge... but hubby says, 'That just means you buy Pledge, it doesn't prove you dust!' (cheeky!) But I do dust sometimes! Honest!
The drink, isn't mine, it's hubby's! (I don't have ice) and there's more than coke and ice in that glass! He was being a right slave driver last night. He's taking over the digi store! "Hurry up!" he keeps telling me. "More Digi's needed" and "Where's the Freebie...I'll put it in now..."
So this week I've done two freebies. One is here at the bottom of this post (and will stay there just one week!) and the other has been hidden by John over in the didi digi store, Spyder's Other Corner.
Now, if you do grab a digi store banner for your sidebar, let me know because I'm doing Monthly Candy for Banner holders as a way of a thank you!
I'll be back later to day, as I'm at 'work' as usual on a Wednesday, so this is on timer... and yes...I am very tempted to take my laptop with me!
So, that's what on my workdesk this Wednesday, (and my dining table!) Pop over to Julia's the crafty genius behind all this, and join in!
Next week Julia's celebrating a YEAR of WOYWW!! And she has a little make something challenge for you...so watch out for that!!
Thank you to everyone who called in last week and thank you for stopping by this week too!

Sorry! 'I Picked this for you.' Bear, is now in the digi Store

But there's another freebie on the latest Wednesday's post

Sundae On Tuesday

Hello peoples! It's been a really lovely day today! (shhh! Don't tempt fate!) Here's today's card and as you can see I'm still on my quest to use up all my printed papers, mainly because my printer has gone on strike. It has ink but does not want to use it. Bit like - horse to water- can't make it drink, but they do like to swim! (another story, which I reminisced with the man in the pet shop the other day... me, wearing nothing more than a very skimpy pair of cut down jeans, bikini top...horse...sea and sand. I'm beginning to think I dreamt it all now)
Back to the job in hand, (which in my case, is a Harry Potter mouse, with red flashing scar light!) One card quickly made for a forum birthday! (Not too late this time) I found the insert first, which I have already used on another card ages ago ... I make them, and then scan them in so when I'm in a hurry all I have to do is print them out... but... yes... the darn printer!!! This is the original insert, as I must've used the scanned one last time. The green leaves are cut from this paper felt stuff. Have no idea what it's called. It's soft like felt but it tears like paper, left over from my Play School days.
And...suddenly I realise something...what??? Oh Poo!! Ummm.... I've posted this card off... with a few stamped images... with no hand made by Lyn on the back, no little Loony Lyn cartoon, no email... and wait for it.... UNSIGNED!! Oh! Poo!! Oh well, too late now! So if you get this card... it's from me!!
I'm sorry the card is a bit sparse, as I only had printed the Ice Cream Sundaes and the insert and one tiny bit of backing paper, which nearly fitted the front of the card, but not quite... Papers and the Ice Cream Sundeas, for those of you who don't recognise them and haven't seem them before, because they've been very quiet lately but now they're back, Tinker & Co and you can download them from HERE free!! Yes...Free... and HERE (that woke you up didn't it!) Hunt out their new web site store and their blog for other freebies too!
That's it for now...tomorrow it's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. I'll be at work so my post will be on timer. Also look out for two freebie didi digi's from me tomorrow...one on Wednesday's post and there'll be another freebie 'hiding' in my didi digi shop Spyder's Other Corner! Thanks for stopping by!!

OSAAT's Furry Challenge

Morning everyone! Or g'day if you live in Australia!
New Challenge starts today at Noon. Pop over to see who won last weeks challenge, and who the top three are! I've picked mine but I think they're using Mr Linky because there were some amazing makes and no one could make up their mind! But!!! you're gonna love this weeks Challenge even better, because it's... drum roll please Sid....

Furry Friends!!

Okay, so my sneak peak didn't give anything away. (But then again, it wasn't meant to!!) How do you like this cute furry teddy bear with his best friend, the dragon. I like dragons!
The image is by the lovely Janette and is called George and the Dragon, and here he is in his Knights Templar outfit... ok, so George wasn't a Knight's Temple, but many people believe they held high regard for him, which is very puzzling, as St George is only a legend, but then, George wasn't a Teddy Bear either!!
This lovely image is available over in the Stitchy Bear Store, or HERE for George and The Dragon (don't forget there's 50% off all the digi-ness until the end of May!!)

I just think this makes a lovely little boy's birthday Card and if his birthday party's are anything like my girl's birthday party's used to be, thirty little kids, themed, fancy dress, what better than having a 'George and the Dragon Party', where all the boys can be knights, (and stab each other with their swords) and all the girls can be damsels in distress, with long flowing party dresses!! (or, to be politically correct... the other way round, if they want to!!)

Bit of trivia- the sword that supposedly killed the Dragon was called Ascalon the name also used by Winston Churchill for his personal aircraft during World War 2. you never know, that might come in handy one day.

Back to the card. I've sort of followed a sketch from over on Card Making and Paper Crafts ... but...not quite! Because they had a space for a sentiment and I don't think this needs one, so I've added the buttons instead. I've used, Pink Petticoat papers (I'm on a mission to use all my printed pp papers! and some of them have been in my folders for years!) I inked all the edges with dark blue chalk ink. Martha Stewart cobweb punch. The Image, as I said, is by Stamping Dragon Designs. I coloured it using my Promaker pens. The banner was made by scribbling colours on to card and then just drawing triangles and cutting them out... and yes... I spelt birthday wrong! But then again I always do! Luckily I spotted it and managed to put it right without ripping any backing paper (phew-grrr, but a lot more than that came out of my craft room this morning!!)

I had it in my head that I would use a 'heart' punch for the little flags, bend the top over the gold cord and just leave the pointy bits but (!!!) out of all my trillion punches, I've only got a large thin one and two very small fat ones, no good at all. So I just scribbled some colours and drew in the little triangle's...and then you (not me) stick the flags on with tiny 3D foam squares, in the right order to spell 'Happy Birthday' or in my case, Happy Brithday.

I re-took the photo's this morning with the sun just peeping over the bungalow roof. I quite like the shadows it makes! (or...maybe I should pretend that I drew them!)
Have fun with this challenge, remember you can do any crafty thing you want... ATC, Scrapbook page, Fatpage, Exploding box, Inchie, Tag, Card, Altered Art, anything crafty to include a furry friend! (But please don't cover your guinea pig with PVA glue!!)
Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday Tom

We're running out of idea's for things for Tom to do on his birthday. We've sent him to a racing track one year, that was fun, so he could zoom round and round with other like-mined people at a ninety miles an hour! Even John had ago!! (although he didn't drive, an 'expert' took him round!! Doing 120mph around a race track is completely different to going down the M1...not that I've actually done that...and not that any one has, cos of course it's against the law, so there) When he came back John muttered something about wearing the wrong coloured trousers!
Last year we send Tom canoing.
This year we couldn't think, then John had an idea and I made the card... (last night, talk about last minute!!) and knowing that he'd be here first thing this morning as Emma (our daughter ) needed her brakes changing on her Mini, and seeing it's John's day off, that's what he's doing now. There he is...sitting on a mat in the drive! Unfortunately the back brakes are so tightly fixed in, even with the right tool, John couldn't get them off

Here's the card. Can you guess where we were going to send him??? Yes... For an Archery, lessen. I guess the green tights gave it away.
But no, a new surprise plan is being thought up as I type, as an old injury,(which he actually did years ago doing just that. (Playing Robin Hood no doubt) means he can't take up the challenge.

So, we'll have to come up with a new one!! Which is just as well, as I missed a word off the front of the card and it's given me a chance to change that .
Meanwhile, luckily plan B is still in place... a cook book and a meal out tonight! Tom does like his food!! And plan C??? We've just got to check we can get the tickets, but he's gonna love this, but can't tell you here, because he might read this!!

I used Dustin Pike's 'Squirrel' with he's nuts, which was already coloured. The little paper brads were from Shelly and K.T. Thank you!! The wording was done on my computer. The font is called Scooby Doo.
The little 'speech bubble' was also done on the computer and can be found by clicking the drawing button.

Hi to new Follower Jo, (((wave))) better known by most as Trimgym from the one and only TrimCraft Forum and of course Challenge Blog! Pop over and say hi. Jo Has some fabulous makes to show you!!
Don't forget to scroll down to Yesterday's Post for my freebie Elephant, Eddy! (sorry, Eddy's now available in the Digi store, new freebie on the latest WOYW Wednesday post!)
Bye for now!!

WOYWW.. Or where's my desk!

Hello Peoples!! ((wave)) Thank you to everyone who commented on last week's WOYWW. It was fantastic to see so many newbies!!
This 'What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday', is definitely spreading World Wide!! I got lost somewhere in the middle and had to back track as Mr Blogger was being very finiky! (Is that a word? If it is, it's spelt wrong! But I know what I mean!)
Once more, I'm at work. (and Mr Blogger is doing the deed)...No he's not!! I've just pressed the button!!) . This is my workbench (coz it's not posh like some of yours) at about Midnight last night/first thing this morning. (See how addictive this is!! I stay up and post at midnight!!...and I'm a very slow typer, because I can't spell! so as usual I'll be getting up half an hour before I went to bed!)
There's not much on my bench this week. I've sort of tidied up. (Big fib, the mess is just on the bits you can't see! No way are you seeing the floor!!)
I'd just finished the card you can see on the post below this one and taken it's picture (On top of my printer using the lamp that we inherited from Auntie Brenda. It has a blue Daylight bulb) so thought I'd kill two stones with one bird and take WOYWW pictures as well.
My very old and dried up water colour paint box and the bits of paper left over from My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pack.
Another long shot of my bench. I really did love the idea that it was 30 foot long!! (as someone thought last week!) My craft room's about 10'x 8'
Everything very much the same. (I'm sooo boring!) I should come up with something new ... oh I know...what's under my bench and here it is ...my clear purple plastic boxes filed with Punches... I'm am, sad to say, addicted to them as well. (yes I stand to craft and sit to play on my computer)
I was going to treat you all to a picture of a packet of Chocolate mini eggs, 27p instead of £1.10 ! But I ate them all...(not all in one go! it took all day!)
So if you want to join in with this ever growing addiction of showing the world and his wife and at least 100 crafty crafter's your crafty space no matter where it is, just take a picture and pop over to Julia's blog and add it to Mr Linky. But be warned. It is very addictive!!
As promised to Christine, (from the Cardmaking & Paper Craft Forum) who wanted an Elephant, here's my this weeks Freebie. Hope you like him. He's called Eddy. He'll stay here all week, and there'll be a new one next Wednesday. Thank you for stopping by, be round to see you all as soon as I get home!!

Sorry you've missed the freebie
But there's another one on the Latest Wednesday Post!!
