John's Card From Emma

Emma (daughter) made her dad a birthday card, so I thought I'd add it here. Nice and simple. Blue card with silvery grey punched out flowers, a silvery grey square topped with a parcel and heart topper, added gems and a Best Wishes sentiment. On the back she now has her own stamp, 'Hand made by Emma...'how cool is that!!

What's On Your WorkDesk Wednesday (Nothing!) And My PiF

I think that's my longest title ever! And What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday!?! Nothing! (Almost) Just Papers. I'm in the middle of drawing something for someone who wants to put my 'something' into an auction. Who can guess what Island that is?? No? I'll post about it when it's done. Blogger is still making it hard for me to comment on some blogs, hopefully it will be ok this week, butat least I did get round most of you.(Some only tonight)
My PiF hasn't arrived yet as it's coming all the way from Australia, but the PiF I made has arrived at it's new home, Debs. Hope you like it... This is what my yellow box turned out to be, and not a yellow banana insight! It isn't very arty, I don't have inks and metal things to add to stuff so I thought, well, it's all about our messy desks and our craft rooms so that's what I made. A Mini Craft Room. I started it just a few days before the WOYWW Anniversary as I wasn't going to do anything. I think the box once held a posh watch, it was black, it had a lining...and it was in the bin, but I just had to take it home! It's appeared in many a WOYWW on a shelf in the background, waiting to be changed into this...

The last thing I stuck down was the little brown parcel under the counter. The tag on it reads to Debs! It's supposed to be the little craft room all wrapped up...

So, what's on your Work desk this Wednesday? Pop over to The Stamping Ground and join in! Thanks for stopping by!

Hedgie With His Sun Flower: CDAC Challenge

You've seen Hedgie with his watering can, well the flower has grown sooo big he can now use it as a sun shade umbrella! I'd like to enter him into The Crafter's Digital Art Center challenge 'Summer Time Cutesy'. I think I might have to make that flower a little bigger if it doesn't stop raining soon!! He comes as a JPEG and a PNG with a clear back ground. You'll find him HERE in my Digi Store, Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner for .99p
Thanks for stopping by!
Update Hedgie won a Crafters Choice Award!

Happy Birthday John

Happy Birthday John! No, I won't tell you how old he is, but dinosaurs didn't walk the earth when he was born! (and it might give away my age too!)
Okay, it's not a very romantic card to make for your husband but it is cute though, isn't it?! (I mean the monkey...ok, so's John too) A Dustin Pike already coloured PDF Decoupaged Monkey freebie available here.
If I remember rightly the big leaves background papers were from Dustin too.
All I did was print everything onto 250gsm Photo glossy inkjet paper, cut it out and fixed together using silicone glue, all except the pom-pom on his hat, where I used a tiny 3D foam pad.
For the backing paper I just cut off the white waste around the edges and folded it in half to make the card, printed it again on paper for the insert then added the little picture of the smaller completed monkey to the inside. The cake is also a freebie DP image. Found Here!
Today we're meant to be having a BBQ, but of course it's raining. John has a new shiny gas BBQ and a new awning ...so that can only mean one thing! The Summer's over folks! I have a few challenges but will have to add them later as I'd better have a tidy up!!
Remember the my Help with links post??? Just have a look at how many links under the comments on Dustin's Post... there's even a few links from blogs that haven't blogged in years, but there's still no Spyder's Corner, and I've been over at least ten times. I will find that magic button one day!! Bye For Now!

There's A Hedgehog In The Garden

....and he's made a little path under the fence so he can come and go. Very Clever hedgehogs!
I thought it was about time I made a card using one of my own digi's- this weeks freebie. Hedgie with his Watering can.
I was going to add him to the challenge over on the Digital Centre but it appears I can't... anyway, I found a couple of challenges I thought I would enter him in to, hope I'm not too late. I always find them when there's just a few hours left!
I've used PinkPetticoat Papers, Promarkers, a bit of embossing, although you can hardly see it and I've also used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.
I couldn't make up my mind about the flower, to add one or not. What do you think? Dad's a gardener so he likes flowers, I might put this one by for Fathers Day or a birthday, even though I've already made dad's cards for this year! (I always forget where I've put them!) Oh yes, the font is a freebie. Although it appears there's some websites selling it. It's called Cazy Girlz Blond BT and you can download it here. Choose save and then move it (right click hold it down and drag across) into your font file on your control panel. Back later with John's Birthday card...Thank you for stopping by!

Help, About Links

Can you see this? You can click to make it bigger I think, but as it's not a 'real' photo, just a print screen and copy into Word I'm not sure. Anyway, my question is, here is one of my posts with no comments, but as you can see by the 'Links to this post' it has been visited. (This also happens to posts that do have comments) Now, I've been on the blogger help thingy and someone very nice told me all about back links, which I read and all that just went over my head as, although this probably is back linking, bloggers help appears (to me) to be a bit out of date and their example does not appear like this picture above shows. Now, I've been having trouble commenting or if I do comment, sometimes the comment either never shows or just disappears into the ether. I'd love to be able to visit a blog and leave one of these links. People I've asked over the two years I've been blogging have no idea how their links get there. Blogger help tells me it's because they have linked me on their blogs or share the same topic, this is not so... I've checked! I've even seen the blog owner's own link listed in this way on their own blog. So if you know how to get my link to appear under the comment in 'Links to this post' (so that if I can't comment, at least people will know I've called in) I'd love to know!
New Followers Hi and a big {{{wave}}} to Chrissy, Sande lovely video's for you to watch! and Michelle Jadaa, but no links...yet. Happy Crafting!
(*P.s Create A Link seen under Links to this post , is something different and I know about that)
*Update...There's now ove 60 'Links to this Post' to this post!!! So, how's it done?

New Digi Now In Store: Sorry you missed this one! CLOSED

Sorry you missed him...
Aw, soo much better than that old out house/beach hut last week! What was I thinking!?! I did enter Hedgie into the Crafter's Digital Art Center challenge. This month it's Summertime Cutsie
*No, they deleted him, said he 'wasn't new'. I don't know how to draw him, scan him, save him, download/upload him to the site any quicker than the same day I created him. Others there I've seen in blogland on cards coz they were freebies last week!! How old does he have to be to be 'new'? Oh well never mind, I'll draw another one! Really fast! I'd love to see anything you make using him. Please leave a comment if you can! You know they make me happy!
You'll now find Hedgie HERE
