Just thought I'd share, Mason, who will be one year old at the end of the month is walking, and very well by the looks of it! Definitely knows what he wants ...I'll have that, and that, and some of that too!

Thank Crunchie it's Friday!! And An ATC Swap

The weekend's here at last! Time to face all the tidying up I have been putting off all week. (yuk) I think my ironing pile has now reached it's all time hight, it's taller than me! Aw, shame, the ironing board is covered in crafty stuff and bits of glitter. As for my craft room...well, there's a tiny path carved through the boxes of 'stuff' so I can get to my laptop. I'm thinking soon it'll be Wednesday again and I'll have the same rubbish, I mean, creativeness, on my desk that I had on there last Wednesday! I have been busy, but in a sort of non-productive way.

Last ATC swap, on CardMaking Download forum. was a 'Back to school' theme. My printer was out of ink (still) so I couldn't print out my favourite back to school papers. I thought never mind, I'd be clever and draw the same little hedgehog I did for a back to school card I made for some one last year. Only, I did the drawing, and then, scanned it into my computer so I could print out four identical little pictures... forgetting of course, the printer was out of ink. So instead of four black printed hedgehogs I ended up with four GREEN printed hedgehogs! After colouring them with my ProMakers, I don't think they look too bad. What did we do before we had computers??

Spyder's Didi Digi Challenge.

Morning everyone! (((wave)) And a very Happy Birthday to my daughter, Maria, over in USA! (big hugs!!)

I loved all your makes for The Mushroom Challenge so much so, I thought, actually, hubby thought, we should have another challenge. Everyone who entered the last challenge was sent a Thank You Mouse, holding some daisies, (please email me if you didn't get yours!!) and of course there's been loads of freebies over the last few months, it would be lovely to see some of them, and what better way than in a challenge. Everyone who enters the challenge, will be sent a little Thank you digi. Plus, The Runners up can also have a digi from the store and so can The winner plus, I'll draw something for them. So it's win win all round! There's also going to be a another 'secret' prize, more about that when or if it happens! That really depends on you!
I'm sure Mr Linkz will let you enter at least three times but each card has to have it's own 'post'. Use any of my digi's, yes, even the Mushroom digi from last time!! (You can never have too many mushrooms! but make a different card!)

Now, if you've never found me before and only have this Wednesday's freebie, which is a background, with a couple of trees and a meadow, how about using that and then adding another digi or stamped image over it! And if you haven't got a blog, just email me and I'll do it for you!
I've been playing in PaintNet all morning, (it's a free download) inventing Elaine's prize, she asked for a Christmas Penguin. Haven't quite decided what he's going to look like yet! But hope you like him so far.

What a Mess, it's Wednesday!!

Big apologies for not getting round to see everyone last week. There were hundreds of us!!! It's really hard when you're not at home and some dog is chewing your hand off! Happy to say, I am now home from Dog sitting. No longer will anyone have to worry that I'm contaminating someone else's work desk!! Who remembers those What-a-Mess stories, all about an Afghan hound puppy? well, I think he lives on, it looks like he does, and he's doing it in my craft room!! Oh What -a-mess!! I had a quick tidy, but run out of time. Today's freebie, was going to be either a mummy..no, not that kind of mummy, the other kind with bandages and a grrrrrr look about him, but he seems to have wandered off. Can I find him? No. Or a vampire, but he's missing too. So today's freebie is a bit of a rushed job. My pen's nearly out of ink, and I think it's a bit...what's the word?? (It'll come to me in a minute) ...a bit...rough round the edges. If it ever gets to the store I promise, I'll re-vamp it first! But there has been a few of you who asked for a background...well...it's nearly Christmas...and they're selling mince pies in Tesco's, oh and it is Agatha Christie's birthday!

Sorry about dark pictures, it's two in the morning as I type this, so there's no sun, and my daylight bulb, seems to be missing as well. Very untidy desk, moments before it was sky high with crafty 'stuff' and I quickly scooped it all up and put it tidily away (in a big box on the floor) This is on timer, I'm at work, and you must now hop over to Julia's blog and join in. It's A Quirky Sketch!

This is my DT card for the Quirky Craft's Challenge starting again, after a Summer break, over on the challenge blog as I type! (you big fibber Lyn!) Shh! The challenge this time is, of course, and those of you who popped in earlier will know, is a nice and very easy...

Pop over and have a look at the other DT makes. Caro has made a fun day out, and has included a fab picture of her sliding down a helter-skelter and some Storm Troopers from Star Wars! And Anne has made a beautiful scrapbook page featuring Phil, her late hubby, both great scrapbook pages. Cazzy and I (because I'm completely rubbish at scrapbook pages) have made cards. Now, you of course, can make anything crafty you fancy. You can flip it, tilt it, add a few extras, so long as we can still see that you've followed the sketch. Easy!

I've used a Penny Black image kindly stamped out for me by Fe-Fe a trillion years ago, who used to design for Quirky (thank you Fe-Fe) I know it's from Fe-Fe because it has her name on the back!

I've used chalk inks and ProMakers to colour and also some inks to rough up the edges of the papers a little. I've used Pink Petticoat papers from The His & Her Collection disc (this one was the His Collection) and both papers are blueberry and putty (one blueberry with putty dots and the other putty with blueberry dots) The sentiment I did on the computer in Word. The lovely large brad is from a set of 15 by Pepper & Friends, from TrimCraft. The font is a freebie, Apple Butter, already mentioned ages ago, but if you missed it, you can download it HERE.
I added the red raffia to match the red flowers, the little Ladybirds and the tiny red heart on the mouse's envelope. I've not added anything else other than some eye-lets as this card will probably be put by for a dad, (shh!) and seeing Penny Black Saturday Challenge are doing a card for Men/boys this week, I think it might just fit in, although I am very tempted to add some flowers in that empty space! But then, with my dad, being a gardener, that doesn't really matter!

A Quirky Peek!

It's been ages, since we had a Quirky peek at the challenge starting over on The Quirky Crafts Challenge blog later today... Deanne, has gone on to pastures new and has left us squadies (Anne, Cazzy, Caro and me) in charge! But not before she left us with her Sketch, but what's in the sketch?? To get us back into the swing of a fortnightly challenge after the summer break, this one will be nice and easy, honest! This is my sneak peek, no clues at all and a bit blurry, taken just as my camera bleeped that it's batteries were flat!! So, man the hatches, pull up the mainsail...and pop back to the poop deck later to find out! No, that wasn't a clue either!

No More Dog Sitting! And A Crafty Prize!!

I'm now back from Dog Sitting, we left a nice tidy house and two sleepy dogs. Well they were sleeping (one of them was definitely snoring!) until they heard the gate bell go and their 'mum and dad were back, and then it was gruff aff gruff aff aff gruff gruff and a lot of jumping about. (see, I'm mean, I don't let them do that!)

Now I'm home and can just about get into my craft room...it's sooooo untidy!! (no change there then) My computer's back in it's place and the few things I took with me and the new stuff I bought are ready to be put away...somewhere! But before I tidy up, (hahahahahhahahaahaha) I'll post a few doggy pictures for you to see... ones very blurry as it's the only one we managed to get of George, in the river! He did love it! (Yep, that blue blur, is me and not Superman) I hasten to add, they had a nice warm soapy bath, or rather a bucket, in the yard, when they got home! (pooh!)

Now, you'll never guess what was waiting for me when I arrived home. A large package! (now now) Of course I very excitedly ripped it open to found some fabulous goodies from Card Making and Paper Craft Magazine, a lovely prize for being their Subscriber of the month (wahoooo!) Thank you so much CM&PC! Pop over, login, and find their freebie papers... and then come and find the forum too!
