WOYW this WedNesdaY!? #747

 The little file folder journal

I could do a whole months worth of pictures of sprawling crafty  mess stuff but I'd fear I'd send you all to sleep. But! Yes, it is  Wednesday! So, come  and join in at Stamping Ground and show us what you've  been up to??

I've been crafting in the kitchen and on the ironing board in the living room again. The above top picture shows (not quite finished yet) a little file folder I made by following Ceri The Crafter over on You Tube and he linked Darlene's Creative Studio where he first saw it.  Ceri made his from old file folders, I didn't have any of them but I came across the type you hang in a filling cabinet, so I just cut off the metal hanging bits to make them the right size.

My take on the file folder is a little different as I covered it and wrapped it round to make inside pockets, added a belly band and then that little name plate was just hanging around on its own, so I glued it on some card, added brads, then fixed it to the front. But more on  that in another post; perhaps I'll try to film it on the egg box again!

The long shot picture above shows some of the tabs and small journal cards I've made from one of my 12x12 cover ups. (sticking loads of scraps over a paper you really don't like)  I really loved how it turned out and at first didn't want to cut it up. (Be brave and then make another one, sez me....so I did!) The 'JOY' is a dye-cut from this months Simply Cards and Paper Crafts. magazine and my little purple tissue covered box of dyes and stamps is slowly filling up!

But I ran out of the pockets (don't moan!< from Temu) these ones came with magnets, I added the white for the stamps and put the dies on the back fixed to the magnet sheet. And as it sez on the back of the pockets....'Moving Panda make People Happy' and they certainly make me very happy!(those little tiger stamps and dies came from Craftstash)

Here's a close up of the tabs after cutting them out and adding some odd bits. Still adding more lables and words and other stuff. (yes, I know, one's upside down....that's going to bug me now!) That's it from me this week! At least I made it! Have a great WOYWW- thank you for stopping by.

Always Freebies-another 12x12 cover up!

Not sure this'll work very well as an always freebie. I can't get the picture straight! I seem to be into this covering unloved 12x12s with anything to hand at the moment. It's easy and stops you thinking about things you don't need to think about!  (or perhaps you do, but don't want to!) This one has got old book papers, coffee stained papers, even a passage from one of my own stories. A Tesco Cookie bag, washi tape, shopping list butterflies, old scraps, drawer liner music paper, stickers...it might be useful to some one! Let me know what you think! Thank you for stopping by!

Update....I have since copied the photo above and saved it to my laptop, sliced off the black bits and made the picture the same size and then, printed it and it came out as a whole picture at 71/4 by 71x4 inches

A Months worth of T for Tuesdays!

T stands For Tuesday! This is this weeks breakfast after pushing back some bits of crafting stuff. No blueberries...so I added an apple with the banana, grapes, blackberries and raspberries. In the background is my new bag for my pills, some Poundland foampads and that brownish flowery paper (which I'm keeping to craft with) is what was wrapped around some flowers.

Banana,grapes, blackberries, water melon

Well, I had the pictures so...as I said before. life, rabbits, dogs, gardening and mowing got in the way. So!? Let's catch up! I really wanted to join in with Altered books T For Tuesday and did start early...only my laptop sez no...it coudn't find who I was, the little devil, just too darn lazy to do any work I'm guessing, although I did keep it up late into the night doing downloads and other crafty stuff, so, it could be just...tired. First pictures are breakfast from a few weeks back up until today...but as I've said before, are a bit boring, same ol same really, so just scroll down til you see something that catches your eye...or 'hop'-fully not.

One of the 8 rabbits

That could be painful. I know, because one of those rabbits scratched my face and caught my eye lid, neck and lip last week. I have war wounds everywhere, honest! Ouch! Don't worry. No pictures of that...just one for the rabbits...and another picture of a cinnamon and raisin bagel! (I think I'm going to have one of them now!)

Last week there were also dogs...so here they are!

Off out for a run! 'Where we goin' Lyn, we've never bin in one of these before!?' And then later...Fun in the river with Duke and Dexter.

I'd
just had a pot plant from a neighbour (seen in the back ground) who'd remembered it was John's anniversary...still can't believe it's been a year...

but  then a crafty haul arrived, so that was time for tea and biscuits!

Pot plant. Not sure what's it's called, so I've named her Florence.

I try my hardest NOT to buy these biscuits, but they are sooo yummy and the people, (I look after their cat) always leave me a couple of packets! Last week when I arrived it looked like the boyfriend cat (seen at the bottom of the post) had been in and they'd had a party!!

There was a village garden/garage/house sale last weekend about 90 homes joined in. My neighbour put his son's motorbike jacket out so I thought I'd put John's jacket out too. He'd only worn it a couple of times. I was oftered a fiver for it, but seeing it cost about  £170, I said, 'on your bike' but in a nice way! It was really busy and I managed to sell quite a few other things!

Yesterday I went to look around the market in Christchurch. Losts of stalls selling all sorts of goodies!

Of course I had a good look around the charity shops too. My best find this time was this organizer, as new, hidden away under some stuff. I paid £3 for it...looking on line I found one the same for $39.00, not sure what that is in pounds, but it sounds like a bargin to me!

That's it from me I think, just one more thing, a sad note, a few people asked why Little Maisy, my daughter's little puppy, which they'd only had for a few days, had to be put to sleep.

They collected her on the Thursday, had booster jabs on Saturday, had the all clear by the vet... but by Sunday they took her back to the vet. It turned out she had a birth defect affecting her esophagus where it had no muscles and therefore she couldn't swallow food or, the blood vessels went round the wrong way and acted like a zip tie. Either way, she couldn't swallow her food and was being constantly sick...

I know someone will ask....here's the boy friend cat... Known to us as Fat Face (as it was probably him that made that mess above) Real name...The Colonel I believe! Have a great T for Tuesday! Pop over to Bleubeard and Elizabeth and join in!

Thank you for stopping by!

It's a washi tape covered 12x12 freebie

I know, I've been awol for ages...up to my eyebrows in rabbits...which I think I mentioned a little while back. It's the weekend now...so, I've been out a couple of times. My Crafty Craft Charity shop was closed down, so I visited  their main Warehouse, (which sells everything) worth a look in... bought this trolly (including the box) even though it had two screws missing...so I thought, me too! We're a perfect match!

Anyway...sitting on the loo I had this sudden bright spark of an idea that the screws I'd bought to fix it might just fit the washing line...The original ones have fallen out...coz they can, bad design, so if it's knocked or pulled, the whole thing just falls off the wall....washing and all!

Sooo far, touch wood, it's done the trick! And talking of washing... which is why I'm blogging today, is, I've just covered  an unwanted/unloved 12x12 in washi tape, scanned it in and thought maybe one of you out there might find it useful. The original 12x12  I will cut up and add more things to later. These ones have been cut down to a little shorter than an A4 and will be forever freebies... Show me what you do, if you do! Thank you for stopping by.

Hello T for Tuesday....

And It's another T For Tuesday! This week, I'm up to my neck in books, pussy cats, rabbits, dandiloin leaves and other such things. First, the other such things...But NO Tea!  Breakfast or should I say brunch, same old same, plus and I mean plus, a bacon, cheese and tomato (naughty white bread) sandwich.

Then I must show you...books from the second hand book shop for 99p each... The Cuckoo Hill book, because of the hand written text, me thought, I could have some mixed media fun cutting and sticking with that! But....

....on opening it and having a read, it's a handwritten diary from waaaaay back mostly about the comings and goings of people and villages north of the New Forest (where I live,  in the south) Then 'The Story of Edith Holden' with a lot of her illustrations in it, seen below in colour.

And...seen in black and white above, 'The Complete Encyclopedia of Illustration' (copyright free)  filled with amazing pictures of everything you can think of... (sorry about the fat balls sneaking into the picture)

Here's an over-head look at the books, plus a 5 ringed binder x2 brand new, I also found in a charity shop, which I'm going to add my geli prints to, when I have some!

And then the Dyalog  covers. I really wanted to see these close up, and Ceri The Crafter was painting a blank one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twm0d0D3Eq4) on his youtube channel...(so after reading the comments and getting a link to the website where they were a little bit cheaper than normal at the moment)I bought two covers and one insert, the blank ones were out of stock. I think I'll try to make my own... I mean, if you're doing all this painting and inking etc you should make  have your own artwork on the covers, shouldn't you? (Yes Lyn) I liked the blue one best, (although, not the words) as it had metal bits inside holding the elastic, where the orange one just had knots.

And now the rabbits...I won't add them all...there's eight!

And I've been moving them from the cages inside  to their runs outside, twice a day...

On two sad notes...the little puppy, Maisy that my daughter bought home for her  family last Thursday has had to be put to sleep at just nine weeks old, of course everyone is just in tears... and even more so for me...John has been gone now for a year this friday...I still can't believe he's never coming home.
