This Weeks Freebie, Better late than never...CLOSED

He's a house snail....He travels around  everywhere, really slowly. It's taken him all week to get here. I seem to rush about everywhere and nothing gets done. I've had him, the snail that is, in my head...no, not him, (oh yuk!) the thought of him, as Hubby's been  thinking about caravaning again, so we could zoooom off somewhere, only they are a lot bigger and taller, the caravans that is, not the snails, than they used to be. Not sure if one would go....or slide, down the side of the house anymore... Hubby menioned something about, guttering. Right, stop talking.

This is Lola....(she was a showgirl...) making a mess in my Living Room, which is why I'm soooo late this week. She doesn't sit still for five seconds! Bless her! Thank You for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Lookie See at WOYWW!? #667 ATC's

I showed you most of my ATC's last week, for WOYWW's 13th Anniversary. 'Connections'. Here they are finished and set out before they went off  to their new homes, after I'd added a few more bits. Everyone should be showing off theirs today, although the ones from across the pond will take ages yet. Why not pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and see! ATC's everywhere I should think! I added Gems and numbers...and then decided to join the map up. That's why the numbers don't match, but the map does. On the back I've put which one is 'connected' to which...so, #9 will be connected to #4 and #8, number 2 in the middle will be connected to four others... like a secret code! Some arrived the next day, some on Friday and more on Monday....eeeks! I thought, I haven't done enough! So rushed around like a headless carrot and made eight more. This time in 'Portrait'. ...that must be enough now (although someone did 40!) Anyway, to cut a long story short...I suddenly realised, I'd posted every ones and only really needed to make one more-or they could've had #9 with the different envelope, but I'd decided to keep that one, I rather liked the idea of keeping, Seven of Nine too and desperately wanted to add StarTrek's Voyager to it... (I didn't there wasn't any room!)  I'm a little bit disappointed that there's no Elizabeth Line but I guess that'll take another three years and cost another billion pounds!  Here are the ATC's that arrived  so far...bloody brilliant!

First we have 'Julia's house's- connecting, then there's Annie's and Jo's with a card, bottom row, Jan, Lunch Lady, along with a little card, then it's Angela's (made her's in her caravan!) followed by Caro and and Helen H ! Now then??? seeing I made some more, (called Second Addition Connection) when I didn't need to...there's a few still going spare... Number One and two have gone. If you'd like one, just let me know!

Last weeks Wednesday freebie is still available here,  this weeks will be a bit late, as I'm very busy and the computer keeps doing silly things! Tom's pop up box Birthday card is finished and is here (with links to freebie papers) and.... I'm working on a DT card, below on the little table in the living room.
All good fun, oh, and we have little Lola (she was a show girl...) the Chihuahua coming tomorrow later to day! Yesterday! Happy WOYWW!? See you all in a few hours...now, it's time for some kip! Thanks for stopping by!

Tom's Finished Pop up Box Birthday Card

I was going to add a birthday number....but the card wasn't big enough for that! At last, Tom's card is finished, although, with this type of fold away box card you (meaning me) can go on adding things forever! After a lovely day exploring gardens and houses and having a picnic, we took it over to him along with some birthday money, never know quite what to buy, apart from a house, car, a superzonic racing bike, some rock climbing shorts or anything StarWars.

The Card.  This one with fit into a six and a half square envelope, as I went over a bit, but you can make them any size and shape.  There's loads of "how to make"  on YouTube. Sam Calcott has this one  and here's one that's very easy and this one and many more. I've added toppers to all my panels, but that's up to you.

Most of the sporting stamps I used came from Creative Stamping magagazine, #92 (Jan 2021) The peeping cat above came from  Crafter's Companion...

and this other cat is from their 'Smitten as a Kitten', Penny Slider Cards set.(Love them both!) Oh and the mice! Lawn Fawn of course!

Both the  letter die cuts used here and the bearly seen ones in the front were from either The Range, Trago Mills, or Hobby Craft.  (sorry about my gluey thumb!) I coloured everything with my ProMarkers. Any 'Ink overs' I used Vintage Photo, Distress Ink. Anything else was scraps from by stash. The tiny racing bike is from a freebie set, Bike Riding Set by Chantahlia Design...there's tons of freebies over there, go look see!

And, last picture... I made the back look like a door  and added a key hole. That tiny little bow on the cat came from a hangbag set of dies I picked up at the Charity Craft Shop in Lymington for 50p, I also got the matching shoes! Might make another Pop Up Box card  using handbags and shoes!

Hoping to add this to some Challenges later ...I've just recieved some ATC's I wasn't expecting! How Fab is that... all nine of mine have gone off... so, I'd better get crackin' and make some more!! Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Tom!

It's Tom's Birthday today... (son-in-law) so, of course, I thought I'd better get on and make him a card before it's tommorrow! And...hours later, this is where I am. It's looking a lot like a door inside a box. Not finished yet... It's the little bits inside the box I'm having trouble with, they're either too short, so fall out or too long and bend... so I'll see you again later on, when it's finished! Have a great weekend!

13th Anniversary of WOYWW!?And ATC Swap!

Hey! Morning! Yes, it's another WOYWW Anniversay! The 13th, and we're, us, them, me and many more, are doing an ATC Swap. All conjured up by the Queen of Blog Hopping, Julia and her Stamping Ground. The theme is Connections...so of course my brain first went, huh?

And then a light come on in Brian (because I often spelt brain that way) and I thought of, The London  Under Ground connecting people everywhere. All those miles of tunnels and did you know, there's just as many under the underground almost forgotten forever.

I wasn't sure if we were 'showing' them  or not....so, I decided to show mine anyway, and wondered what everyone else was doing.  I've probably got it all wrong, but never mind, I had fun making them... Started off with the map, added bits of puzzle and arrows. Then thought I'd emboss them with a worldwide postage style embossing folder, of course I had to have those little icon, like on Google, showing where places are, but I only had four wooden ones, so made the rest out of card. I've also added some small stamped coggs.

I've made nine all together...the 9th one having a different envelope as I run out of the planes and maps 12x12 paper (from The Works) I used for the others, so I might keep that one for myself.

So! I know three of them have  already been spoken for, so if you'd like to swap, just let me know! Have a Happy Swapping WOYWW! (Hoping to join in later...can't get in at the moment)

Another Easter Bunny House

I know once you've seen one, you've seen them all, but I wanted to enter  Oliver's Easter House into some challenges too, so here it is on its own, but without his name on it. So glad that Naimh's Easter House was a **winner** over on Penny's Challenge Blog! Yay!

Here I've use Gemini by Crafters Companion picnic box. Green 'wooden'  paper, from a 12x12 paper pad from The Works. Bunny's from Crafter's Companion Penny Slider diecut set. Grass, from Garden Delights by Sam Calcott. Embossed eggs cut out from  an Easter egg embossing folder, which came with #99 TatteredLace magazine. Later I did add Oliver's name and an Easter ribbon. I've also used Wink of Stella, ProMarkers, white gel pen, scraps of Miri and yellow card in the windows, which also were rubbed up with the VintagePhoto.

Now, the roof was cut from the cardboard wrap that goes around tins of  (posh) cat food. The inside being a really nice warm browny colour. I rubbed on a little TH's Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add detail. I forgot to take a picture of the back of the box, but there's another bunny with a square-er back door  and an attic window. Inside there's shredded paper and lots of different mini eggs and chocolate bunnies! All gone now though! That's it for now! Have a Happy Friday the thirteenth!! (Because that's when I started typing this!) Thanks for 'hopping' by!'

What's On Your Worktop Wednesday?!#675 on a Thursday!

Another week has just flashed by and as nearly always, I'm late joining in with Julia's Stamping Ground. We've been House Sitting dogs over the weekend and I've only just set my laptop free from it's bag and plugged it in!  So!? What Is on my WOYWW? Well, next week is WOYWW's 13th Anniversary and we're doing an ATC swap with  the theme connection. I love an ATC swap! I remembered I had something in one of those card kits you get with magazines,  that might help get my thinking mojo working... and then I realised how many I have that I've not played with yet. You too?

First of course I had to get on with this weeks freebie. Could I find my pens? No. I used a Sharpie in stead, which was too thick for the little mouse so I changed him on my wacom and then set to doing this post...and there, in that top photo inside that little box, is my new pens in my old pen's case. I'd forgotten I'd done that! Never mind...I might re-draw it sometime, the mouse that is, in the future, after I use up all those card kits!

Here's a lovely paper pad from one of this months magazines, 'By The river Bank' Pretty sure I'm going to use that!

That's it from me. One last picture of what's under my workbench, mostly punches, paper, card and other stuff. I'm hours over midnight so this'll be WOYWW on a Thursday! Pop over to Stamping Ground and join in! Thank you for stopping by!

Never too late for Some Easter Treats.

Yes I know, I'm a terrible blogger, I never do what I say I'm going to do! But I thought I'd actually forgotten to take some photos, but luckily I did  and here they are. The Easter milk/picnic cartons houses filled with Easter treats I made for... Easter!

The 'picnic boxes' dies, are from Crafter's Companion long with the rabbits from a different set. The 'grass' die cut is from a Garden set from Made to Surprise, Sam Calcott. The double sided papers are either from Butterfly Kisses (Trim/Dove/Craft) or The Works. The roof on the green house is cut out from a cat food card box. Other dies are from my stash. I also used Vintage Photo to buff up the roof a bit.

The little trellis was cut out from a larger Tonic Studio die. Everything else was from my stash. Colouring was done using ProMarkers.

I also used a white gell pen, plus gold and miri card behind the windows.
This is the back of the box, another rabbit peeking out and of course, evidence of a loft extention!

There was plenty of room inside for lots of chocolate treats! (all gone now I'm affraid...I fancy one of them little eggs right now!)

I cheated a bit on the little boxes and used some favour boxes (from Tescos) left over from my daughter's wedding~over a decade ago! I made about eight of these using mostly freebie papers from Magazines. The boxes come flat packed so before you put them together, you punch a hole in the lid and in the inside flap and then threadle the ribbon through and glue in in place, then pull the lid down to close it.

I made about another six larger cartons for bigger eggs
but didn't take pictures of them...

In the end, I added the grandkiddies names to the roofs and some fantastic Easter Ribbon around the handles. So, that's all for now... dogs in the morning...so if I survive that, I'll see you all later! Thanks for stopping by.

This weeks WEDNESDAY FREEBIE CLOSED

Sorry to shout! But Blogger's being a pain!  I thought I'd draw this little dog who featured in my 'Woodley' Cartoons' in freebie papers, and spent about 8 months in The Horse and Hound too, decades ago! He never did have a name... so if you have any ideas, for a dog who loves visiting the pub, riding on tractors, joining in with the round up, saving foxes and chasing anything that will play and run... let me know in the comments. He can't fire a gun though, not even at the Clay Pigeon shoot.

May The 4th Be With You On WOYWW #674!

Morning every one! AGGGH! It's WOYWW  come and join in!. It's nearly Stamping Ground's 13th year!! and I've been caught out trying to 'sort things out' and in the act of dumping more stuff on my bench. We have for the last few days been sorting out Lady Pam's Stuff....I thought I was a hoarder, but little 'Petal' saved EVERYTHING from newspaper cuttings to teacups and china to paper poppy's and all sorts of charity pins- and I found a Twidder!! not Twiglets...but one from decades ago. (Not so nice and thinner, will add a picture later, I'm rushing as my 'VPN' is turning itself off and on and I might not be able to link!) Anyway...it had its effect all this clearing out someones life long keepsakes, wich really weren't keepakes in the end and I cleared out a 35L Really Usefull Box of scrap paper yesterday...it Had to be done, only three shoe boxes and the pile of card behind the door to do next...I'll be back later...(If I can get in!...or out!)

I'm back, even if it is nearly tomorrow. We have 'the man' coming to check the internet line into the house later... it's been on off on off all day.

Now, to recap...lookie here this is  what I found under piles of newspaper-cuttings and bits of unfinished sewing at Lady's Pam's house. No need to tell you which one is the 'real' twiddler by Twiglet Jo... but fancy finding one decades old hidden away.

I was hoping to add a picture of my 'now' bench, as I did manage to clear it but had no time to do anything else and I must make time to do ATC's for Stamping Grounds 13th year Swap next week! Anyway, trading in our car for a newer one tomorrow and then, dogs all over the weekend so no chance to craft...will take laptop and visit you all then! Stay Safe and Keep Crafting! Happy WOYWW!?

BLast From The Past...

It's Monday, so here's  another card from waaaaay back when I used to make lots of shaker cards. (2010!) First cutting out frames from Crunchie Nut cornflakes packets, adding acetate and tiny beads. I even glued some tiny beads on those tiny heart buttons. Papers look like Pink Petticoat. And of course the cutie little puss-cat is a Penny Black Sticker-roo. I have this image on a little tray and on a mug, just too cute! Can't remember who I sent it to, but I hope they liked it! Thanks for stoping by!
