Happy Easter every one! Time to remind you all about Quirky Craft's Mixed Media Mayhem challenge, which still has another week to run, so plenty of time to join in.
I used this little flower girl from Squigglyfly and had another go at
playing with my three colours of Cosmic Shimmer Mist, plus a dark
blue metallic ink brush-pen that I flicked all over it as well as run a
few marbles across it, so it made a nice splattery mess! (all this was done in a shoe box)
As I said last week, right out of my comfort zone... I'd much rather use backing papers! (I did scan in the finished sheet, so I can use it again...only it'll be nice and clean!) I added the splattered
paper to a pink card that fades to white and then goes a darker pink, then made flowers out of what was left of the splattered paper.
The digi
has been 3D-ed, coloured with Promakers with a few highlights from
the metallic ink brush-pen.(which I quite like and will use again) and some messy finger prints too....but they're not supposed to be there!
The font I used is called Heather BTN. Now, I'm NOT going to link it as I had an email from one of the many font sites I link saying that 'our analysis was showing that it was hurting our site's PageRank on Google' . So I had to take them all off going right back to the beginning of the blog. Still haven't worked out what it all means, I thought that's what Google is and does, a link to everyone and everything! So if you like the font.... go Google the name. It's free on most sites but a few charge. That's it! I'm not here...probably scoffng Easter Eggs... feeling a bit better... but then again, I'd have to be very ill not to be able to eat chocolate!! Thank you for stopping by!
Such a cute card! Love how you created the paper and colored the flowers! That is so neat! The image and sentiment go perfectly together.
ReplyDeleteThat's weird about the message from Google. I thought they made their money from ads, so I would figure linking to one of their sites would be a good thing; shows what I know! So sorry you had to remove all of those links; I bet that was a job! Anyway, LOVE your card! I will have to try that technique for creating background paper! Too cool! (Does anyone use the words "neat" or "cool" anymore? LOL! :)
Oooh, LUV that paper you made - the flowers are gorgeous :-) Super colouring on that sweet image - I like the way you outlined her.
ReplyDeleteHope the Easter Bunny bought you tons of chocco... that'll make you feel better :-D
