Happy Belated Birthday Bro!

It was my brother Michael's birthday on Friday, I won't tell you how old he was) I didn't forget, honest! The card was made on time but I couldn't give it to him til Sunday....not that he ever looks in here- he's not a computer geek at all! He likes bikes, but he's already had a bike card...
Anyway, I made everything and then suddenly realised, (at that time) I still didn't have any ink in my printer and couldn't print out the digi I wanted, so rummaged through my messy craft room to find something already printed out and small enough to fit on the front. (It was going to be a bugaboo car, but the one I found was too big)
Never mind, it's the thought that counts! And I had so many of them as I went through boxes of bits of printouts- sometimes I think I should throw them out, but they do come in handy!
This Bugaboo digi has been sitting on my living room dresser since Christmas! (I'm not a great believer in dusting... not when there's glue-ing to do!) It was just the right size, had a birthday cake and the sentiment was with it too. Perfect. Although the car would've been better.(But then the car has flowers on it...)
I'm sure the all papers were a freebie 6x6 pack from Simply Cards and PaperCraft Magazine ages ago. (Yep, 2012 Issue 92-.it's called TRAVELlight by We R Memory Keepers... how clever of me to write it on the back!) I've also used DieCuts, plus some screws, hammer and spanner brads and cut out the Happy Birthday Bro with my Quickutz thingy. There's about eight layers altogether if you count the black card too- or four if you don't.
The font on the right is called Ackident it's a freebie download HERE (I've linked it tons of times) There's also a bit of Stickles Glitter glue too. Not my usual colours but they all go so well. That's it I think, thank you for stopping by!

  1. That is super FAB... great colours and those gears and stuff are amazing. Nice to see you got a Stella on there too :-D That font for the lettering is nice and was a brilliant idea. I have never seen a quickutz but I am guessing it's a plotter.
    Great card Spyder :-)

  7. Really cool card! Love all the gears and screws and mechanical embellishments! LOVE how you did the letters for Happy Birthday! Each time I organize my craft room, I'm tempted to throw things out, but then I'm afraid I might "need" them later. I have made the mistake of getting rid of a couple things, and then I ended up rebuying them to replace them. Lesson Learned here! lol... :) Now I judge how easily and inexpensively something can be replaced before I donate or discard something; just in case.
