Happy Birthday Aunty Bette!

My Aunty's 80th birthday today! Happy Birthday Aunt Bette! (I've sent a different card) Mum wanted me to make Aunt Bette a card for her to send and here it is! I've used some lovely printed die cuts and paper sets, which came with a craft magazine, this months Cardmaking & PaperCraft  nip over to download their other freebie papers too.(Find them on facebook too) so there wasn't too much to do, just put it all together and of course, think up how too. That took me ages!
I was right out of large cards, so I ordered some 7x7 blank cards from Joanna Sheen (although 8x8 would have been better!) and they arrived very quickly.
First covered the card with matt silver, to go with the silver  around the birds and then the pink dotty and  flower border paper and then chose the the birds die-cut as that matched. Before I fixed that to the card with gel glue, I added a little rectangle of pattern parchment, which I also embossed.
Next went on the pink butterfly with the pink beads....it sort of fell for my towering pile of 'stuff not put away' and went quite well with the birds and the butterflies already there.
I used a corner die-cut in the same matt silver and added the die-cut flowers; then the gems and then thought the green bit along the bottom, used to separate the die-cuts on the sheet, looked good enough to use as a 'ribbon'
The little 3D butterflies were also freebies from a crafting mag.
I added some scalloped circles and the silver 80 peel-off and then hunted out the silver Happy Birthday peel off.
Inside I've also used  a die-cut sentiment Birthday Joy from the set and more of the papers as an insert plus typing out my own using the freebie font Abbeyline(which I've linked before) I've also added another tiny 3D butterfly too. That's it I think, thank you for stopping by! Will later be adding this card to some....
