First A Wall hanging...which came to me around about three o'clock this morning after giving up at around 2.30 ... so don't look too closely! I've altered some beer mats, strangely we seem to have a lot of them! I've used vintage papers from a magazine, inked all of them and the digi's from our sponsor (Stitchy) with TM Vintage Photo, then tore around them.
The little reindeer was also a freebie stencil from a crafty maginzine. First time I've used him...I think it's the best bit! I've also added some wording using SNOW, so it reads Snow, Noel, Oh Christmas Tree and Winter. .Everything else is from my stash...or was found just 'lying around'
The other thing I made and nearly gave up on, was this altered Nuttella glass jar. I printed the digi's onto acetate, printed it out and threw loads of embossing power over it while it was still wet. The idea was to make the acetate look a bit 'frosted' I fixed it to the glass after putting it through my Xyron magchine.
I think it looks better with the lights off.... Hmmm...(I look better with the lights off too!) Well, that's it from me! I'm not here, again...so I'll catch you later. Thank you for stopping by!
When I get in I hope to add some more...

ReplyDeleteThey do say that all good things come to those who wait Lyn, I'm just sorry that you had to wait until 3am for this inspired 'light bulb' moment, What a great idea to alter beer mats to create a Christmas wall Hanging. I love the vintage feel that you created ....A modern antique perhaps. This is great. Good luck in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx ( OSAAT Team )

What superb creations you have made! These really are amazing, I would never have thought to do altered beermats but they are a great size, shape and thickness to do just that!
ReplyDeleteWishing you luck in the OSAAT challenge this week.
Hugs to you Sue Pxxx DT member
Wow, I love that wall hanging - that's gorgeous! Love all those little details you added. What a great idea to use the beer mats - I seem to have plenty of those around too (I call them coasters though, probably because I don't drink beer LOL). Seriously fab idea and this is going on my list.
ReplyDeleteYour candle is pretty too - I never would have thought of that - you are brimming with fab ideas!
